All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

All equipment and facilities were excellent.
Four of us in a 3 bedroom so lots or room. Massive lounge and everything you could want in the kitchen.
Views were really good. would definitely return.
We went in January so it was a bit cold but did warm up
It was a bit far to walk to the pub after a long walk during the day

Stoney acre near Keswick is a perfect place for visiting the Lake District. The cottage is absolutely lovely, well equipped and has a most pleasant atmosphere. The cottage is beautifully situated and offers a stunning view upon the valley and surrounding hills, among which the Cat bell. A nice pub at walking distance and just a short drive to Keswick, a most pleasant shopping centre with all the facilities one needs to enjoy a perfect holiday. Our first stay in Stoney acre was in May 2012 and we already made new reservations for May 2013.

This is a fantastic holiday stay if you, like us, love the Newlands Valley and are there for the hiking, not the shopping. Very well laid out apartment (unfortunately it is an apartment, not a cottage as the brochure suggests as there are two appartments above you). Fantasic facilities and superb views from the kitchen/diner and the lounge. Bedrooms are all at the back against the hill, so a bit dark.
If it was a cottage it would be excellent value, but as an apartment I would challenge the high season price. -

We had a wonderfull stay at this familiy cottage. Stunning views form each window. And a lot of good walks starting from our doorstep. The only negative thing i can say about this cottage is the humidity in the bedrooms.

One of the best holidays I ever had, I spent at Stoneyacre. Superb location (near walks, near Keswick), great cottage (two bathrooms, the best shower, excellent kitchen, spacious living room, books, Dvd's, toys, maps, everything!) . The only downside was the humidity in the bedrooms.

We stayed for under a week as our last stop off before a 26 hour flight home. We all (2 couples) want to come back . The house was excellent, with everything we needed including information re surrounding man made and natural attractions. HIghly recommended. English as the first language of the locals was an enormous relief! And they were all friendly.

fully-featured 3-bed house in stunning location in the Newlands Valley. Fairly remote but within reasonable walking distance of Braithwaite, this house has a well equipped kitchen/diner with french doors and balcony, large comfortable lounge, 1 bathroom and 1 shower-room. The bathroom would benefit from a shower over the bath (or even a separate shower) and the beds are not the most comfortable, but these are fairly minor points.
