Situated on 1200 acres, our lovely guest house is the perfect place for an overnight stay, weekend getaway, or extended vacation. 'The Nest' is surrounded by 50 acres of meadows and offers exceptional views of the Green Mountains and Vermont countryside. Inside the newly-renovated cottage you will find accommmodations for up to six. Upstairs there is a private bedroom (with full size bed) and a sleeping loft with two twins. My husband and I got married last month in Brandon, Vermont and were fortunate enough to be able to stay at and have our wedding reception at The Swallow's Nest/ Transfiguration Farm. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place to have a wedding and Emilee and Jeremy bent over backwards to make our wedding weekend the best it possibly could be. The whole Smalley family welcomed our families and guests to the farm like they were extended family by taking us to see their animals, to providing us with a hayride from the church to our reception, to even helping with wedding hair and getting ready (among other things).
We also were able to stay in the Swallows Nest guest house for 5 nights and I have to say that it is one of the loveliest little houses I've ever stayed in. It has every modern convenience that you could ever want and was squeaky clean upon our arrival. Emilee and her children brought us fresh handpicked raspberries on more than more than one occasion and we were able to roam the farm and explore as well.
If you are traveling to the central Vermont area and looking for a quaint, but absolutely beautiful place to stay my husband and I both highly recommend staying at the Swallows Nest Guest House in Brandon. -

A beautiful and quiet place run and managed by a beautiful family.
My wife and I were looking for a quite place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
To our surprise there were flowers, a bottle of champagne, 2 glasses, and a gift certificate to a local restaurant on the table when we checked in.
Even with this great hospitality the best thing about our stay in Brandon was the absolute peace and quiet. The only sounds we heard were the sounds that nature made; children playing, goats bleating, birds, a wlid animal or two and wind.
It was exactly what we were looking for!
We anticipate returning.
I encourage anyone looking for a place to stay in the Brandon area to stay at the Smalley's place.
You will not find better hosts, or a better place to stay.
For my wife and i it was a place close to heaven. -

We could have not asked for better accommodations or service. A lovely little "nest", a beautiful farm, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and pillows and linens - a rare find in some places but not here! Would have been more than perfect if I could have only stayed longer! Hated to leave but headed back that way in just 8 short weeks!
