PontypriddA lovely home from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the cottage. The owners and family were friendly and the cottage itself was cosy and relaxing. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area - in fact a week is certainly not long enough!

Earls Barton, Northamptonshirelovely refurbished cottage
Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The cottage is on a working farm but you would hardly know it,the owners are very discreet, but on hand should you need any advise, the whole family were very friendly to us.
We found the cottage cosy, comfortable and with lots of character, one small critisism was a lack of information on how some of the appliances operated.
The number of quality, good friendly pubs and restuarants in this area of Yorkshire was excellant as we like to eat out whilst on holiday, we did not find one duff pub or restuarant all holiday plus the roads are in general very quiet except for the morning and evening work dash.
There is plenty of beautiful countryside and villages to explore, Helmsley is not far from the cottage and well worth a visit,This ends my review of my holiday at Seaves cottage

Southampton, United Kingdompeaceful location, lovely setting
Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011
I read the reviews and was hopeful that this place would live up to expectation. It did. Make sure that you arrive in day light as it is not obvious to find, but once you know, it is easy. Warm welcome by unobtrusive hosts. Lovely decoration, big fluffy towells good equipment and good standard of furniture. We asked for some steaks from them and they were excellent. It is set on a farm but this only adds to the atmosphere and does not adversely affect the stay. Plenty of nice pubs and good restaurants within a short drive, but book early! 10-15 minutes drive from York. We will stay there again if we return to york.

A lovely cottage with a warm welcome.Very friendly hosts with delightful children. Lovely flowers to greet us and a welcoming card and bottle of wine. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard with everything you could possibly want. Very efficient central heating, warm and cosy even when it snowed. Only half an hour or so from York and an easy drive to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay etc.
The ensuite steam shower was wonderful.
we loved talking to the horses and visits from the cats, hens and peacocks. An ideal place for animals lovers. -

Cottage was absolutely beautiful, and a really picturesque location, horses and chickens right outside your kitchen door, fabulous! The owners were so friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was a real find, beautifully furnished with a top quality finish. Ideally located in quiet rural Yorkshire countryside, but York close enough for shopping and sight seeing. There was a fantastic Indian restaurant tucked away in the middle of nowhere that we would recommend!! I would most definitely recommend this cottage, and would absolutely return without hesitation. Thank you!! Alison & Antony x

Left on 12/18/2009 for a stay in October 2009
Excellent cottage which had recently been renovated to high standard by the Farmer owners who live next door. Ideal location for visiting York and North Yorkshire Moors. Set in the Howardian Hills which is an interesting area in itself. Several National Trust properties nearby. Would definately stay there again.

Seaves Cottage, Brandsby, North YorkshireA Superb Holiday Cottage
Left on 12/04/2009 for a stay in August 2009
After a week long stay in North Yorkshire a few years ago we decided to return and I'm so glad we did. Seaves Cottage is without doubt the most comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The owners have gone to great lengths to provide the ideal holiday home, providing everything we needed along with several luxury extras too.
Yorkshire itself is a lovely place to visit, the countryside is magnificent and there is plenty to do in York, the railway museum, the dungeons, Jorvik museum, river boats, the Minster and plenty of shops. It was well worth the 260 mile drive up from the south.
