Nestled in a wooded area, these units are right next to the Blue River that runs beneath towering Blue Spruce trees. The loft was clean and gets lot of light with big windows. We had some great moments siting in the patio by the river. Had enough beds for the whole family and room for my toddler daughter to run around. Spacious kitchen living and dining area.
The 3 main con erns were: the mattresses were too hard that we even felt body sore in the mornings. the water water wouldn't drain faster and it felt yucky while brushing teeth and taking shower. There was no elevator we were on the 3rd floor and my parents had trouble each time we went outdoors to descend and ascend the stairs.
Overall it was a good stay

We rented a one bedroom with a loft. The main room (kitchen/living room) was lovely with a two story high pitched roof that had lots of windows. There was a gas fireplace and comfy couches to relax on.
It had a loft above with an uncomfortable futon that had a broken bed support.
The bedroom in the front was a huge departure from the main room and was more like a cheap motel from the 80's with paper thin walls. It was dark, the beds were horrible and we were lucky that all but one of the nights we had no neighbors. The one night we did we could hear everything!
Note to builders, please put insulation between common walls!
On the plus side, the walk to the base of Peak 9 is just a few minutes and you can be downtown in about five. And access to the community hot tub until 9pm was great - it's just across the street.
If sleeping in comfort is not your thing, this may be the place for you. We did mention the broken bed slat in the loft to the management so I assume they've fixed it. But, really, the beds were awful.
I was a bit frustrated on the phone by one of the staff members who made me feel like she was doing me a favor by talking to me. But everything worked out in the end.
We will not stay in this building nor rent from this company again but for about $165 a night plus taxes we got what we paid for.Response from Ski Country Resorts - 02/29/2012

Thank you for taking the time to review TB303 and to email more details regarding your service experience. We do try to provide the best service in Breck and so I apologize if you experienced anything less than that during your stay.
Tannenbaum units provide great value and put you close to the lifts. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the large fireplace and the great hot tub access. Getting off the slopes and into a hot tub can really help you relax.
I will be heading out to the unit and personally following up on the beds. I will also see if there is something we can do to improve the lighting in the bedrooms.
We do hope to see you back with us in the future. Please let me know as I would like to personally oversee your stay and make sure you experience the vacation that we pride ourselves on providing.

Loved the location, on the third floor looking into the forest was a real treat. Like our own treehouse. Very charming and clean.
