Ski in/out and the location to town makes this property very appealing. I would recommend staying near peak 9 to be closest to great dining and shops.
The condo itself is a little warn and could use some updates but it's fine. Just don't expect everything to be perfect.
Tips:
*Soap is provided but you need to bring shampoo.
*Kitchen everything you need including paper towels. I think there was salt and pepper but you need to bring anything you want to eat or drink.
*This condo faced the street (odd numbers do) and even though I was on the top floor I would still hear the street traffic. I'm a light sleeper so this shouldn't be a concern for everyone.
*Book through Ski Country Resorts if you want to select your room. Pics on website are accurate. They allowed a late checkout because the room wasn't rented the day of check out. Also free shuttle was helpful for groceries. Scr customer service was very good.
*There is only one TV in this unit in the main living area. Some may have them in the bedroom.
*You really don't need a car. Do the math and see if renting is cost effective (depends how many are in your party).Response from Ski Country Resorts - 03/28/2013

Everything was great, the beds were comfy, the view was nice. My chief complaint was that there were not any of the essential amenitities we have grown accustomed to at other places. There is usually one coffee, cream and sugar provided, as well as salt and pepper. This are small things but sure make a big difference. The staff at checkin was great. All in all we had a great time.

This condo was clean and comfortable and in a great location convenient to downtown Breckenridge. The furnishings, though adequate, were dated.

Top floor of Trails End condo complex - quiet except for street noise. The loft ceilings gives a more spacious feel to this one bedroom condo. A good weekend getaway.
Pots & pans are old and need to be replaced.Response from Ski Country Resorts - 09/22/2011

Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The check-in/check-out process on Main street is a bit cumbersome because it's hard to park close by during peak hours but the place was clean and comfortable at Trail's End. Our particular unit P9 smelled musty and old so it had to be aired out every day.

We had a wonderful time and your accomodations and service were great! From the very start, Dave was a great help to us in placing us in a unit that met all our needs. It felt just like home --- except it had a great view of the mountains.
Thanks a bunch.

We love Trails End Condos. However, on this trip, we discovered that during the summer months when you want the window open, you do not want to be on the street side. It's too noisy with cars and people coming and going. Also, the community pool was green and dirty. This was a huge disappointment since we had kids and wanted to spend sometime swimming. The unit was very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed the paved bike trail and the crepe stand on main street. We will be back!

Thank you Dana for your review of Trails End and our P9 unit. Overall, it sounds like you really enjoyed your mini getaway here in Breckenridge. On your next visit please request an even numbered unit on the back side of the building and that way you won't be bothered by the road noise. We apologize for the condition of the pool and will contact the management company, thanks for letting us know!
Please stay in touch with us on the web at www.skicountry.com for money saving direct bookings, see you again soon! -

Greeley, COGreat location!
Left on 07/23/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Finding the condo was more confusing than it should have been given they provided us with a map. Also, there is no ramp going into the building so with our stroller each time we came and went we had to carry our baby in his stroller up and down about 10 stairs. Once inside the building we were "P9" which we couldn't find but called and found out it means "penthouse" so the 6th floor. Also, the bed was comfortable but it would be great if there were King beds available. The location was great - we were able to park our car and walk everyone the entire weekend. We would stay there again based on location alone!

First condo assigned was unacceptable. 2nd was similar to the first time we stayed at Trails End. Comfortably furnished and a nice respite. We enjoyed our 3 days and would book again at Trails End.

Left on 04/01/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Fantastic location at the Breckenridge Peak 9 base. Walk 250' and you're at the lift. Easy to get on the slopes at 8:30 am, and ski/ride through lunch, then stop back in the condo for a bite. Racks on the grounds near the slopes let you leave skis/boards outside when you run in for lunch and a ski locker on the ground floor. Also, the site has two great hot tubs, one inside and one just outside. Condo is quaint, with washer and dryer just down the hall. Balcony looks out to the front of the unit, toward the road. Really neat icycles formation on the roof above the balcony - formed a really neat pattern when the sun shown through them.... Would definitely stay at Trails End again.

We stayed in Trails End P9, 1 bedroom. The condo itself was nice. Not over the top. The bed was comfortable. The space was perfect for 2 adults. The gas fireplace was tricky to get started. The view from the balcony was AWESOME. You could see the mountains in the background. Noise was a little loud from the street - especially in the mornings when the snow plows came by. Overall, we were very comfortable in the unit.
The location is IDEAL, especially for beginning skiers, since the Super 6 chairlift is literally just outside the back door of the complex. Ski school is also right out the back door. We enjoyed being able to come back for lunch, snacks, or to change out clothing, etc. The grounds are beautiful behind the complex.
We would DEFINITELY stay at Trails End again because of its ideal location. Ski Country was very nice & professional. It was easy to check in & out. We also rented skis right inside the Ski Country building when we checked in. Reasonable prices and very convenient.

Great location, nice condo. Fireplace didnt work, but no big deal, literally 30 steps to lift line/ticket window, bar. Right downtown, and comfortable. Hot tub was always packed with friendly people, neighbors were nice even though we were a bit loud. Kind of odd, that it had salt-n-pepper shakers, yet nothing in them, could have used some thing to help wash the dishes. All in all a great value and I will definately be staying there next time!

Shreveport, LATrails End Outdated Condo
Left on 01/14/2010 for a stay in November 2009
This one bedroom condo provides basic lodging. I have never stayed in a one bedroom condo that is this small. The flooring in the kitchen has buckled, no ice maker in the fridge. The bedroom was adequate with a comfortable queen bed. The bathroom could definitely use an update. The security system requires a keyfob to enter the building which makes it very difficult if you have guest. If you are only looking for a very basic condo that is clean then this is for you. If you are use to upscale accomidations then you should probably look elsewhere.

It is unfortunate that this guest had a bad stay in this Trail's End unit. We strive to make each guest as comfortable as possible and happy with their accomodations. As hard as we try we cannot please everybody all of the time. We do need to know about problems form guests well they are staying with us. Please if you are staying with us and have a problem call us and we will do anything that we can to fix the situation. As to the specifics of this review. A Trail's End one Bedroom condo is 560 square feet about twice the size of a standerd hotel. We represent Trail's End as a 3 star property which is affordable, clean and ski in ski out in this case. Our units are individually owned and we will forward these concerns along to this owner. The Fob for opening the exterior door to the unit is pretty straightforward. You just wave it under the reader and the door opens.
