Brooklyn, NY, United StatesVillage at Breckenridge Chateaux 1033, Review for 2/2013 stay
Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The unit location very close to quicksilver lift is excellent. The unit itself is just adequate. You don't get the impression that the owners invest too much in the interior. There is no stereo, a cheap one would be welcome. Mattresses need replacing. Pots and pans are old but flatware and utensils are numerous. Lighting level was generally inadequate. Otherwise, nice having communal hot tubs and pool a short outdoor walk away.

Colorado Springs, CO, United StatesI would not recommend this unit!
Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We love to stay at the Village since it's a ski in ski out location. Generally, we rent directly from the village but they didn't have anything available so we rented from Summit Mountain Rentals. I would not recommend renting from Summit nor would I recommend staying in Chateaux 1033 at the Village for the following reasons:
1. The mattresses were terrible! We were there for 7 nights and I didn't sleep well one night because the mattress was old, lumpy, worn, horrible! In fact, every mattress in the place was old and worn and no one slept well.
2. The furnishings and kitchen supplies were also very old and worn. It really felt like no one cared about this unit at all and perhaps is just banking on the fact that it's a ski in ski out location. But, for 7 nights, it was very uncomfortable.
3. I would not rent from Summit Mountain Rentals again. They supplied only the very basics, what they call a starter kit and you have to pay for any additional maid service during the entire length of your stay. We had to replace paper towels, toilet paper, etc. And, our rooms were never freshened up. In fact, when you rent directly from the village, you have mail service included.
4. Also, with Summit Mountain Rentals, they have a strict 10 am check out policy. You CANNOT break it without a $75 fee! When we rented from the village, they happily gave us a 1 pm late check out. If you are the type who likes to get in one last run on the mountain, you won't like their draconian policies.
Overall, the only positive about our experience was the location and there are much better units available that can be rented directly from the Village at Breckenridge.Response from Summit Mountain Rentals - 04/03/2012

Thank you for you comments. They are very helpful in valadating our recommendations to owners to make their properties most competitive. We belive we supply a reasonable amount of quality products for most stays and is competitive in delivering value to the visitor with others renting condominiums. We also are liberal with early and late check ins wen we can. In your case, their was another renter checking into the unit on your day of departure and we did not want to unfairly impact their arrival when you agreed when you reserved and again when you checked in that the check out time was 10:00am.

Findlay, OH, United StatesGreat Location, Parking Issues Though
Left on 03/20/2012 for a stay in March 2012
The condo and location were amazing!
The only issue was a parking permit was supposed to be provided, but was not. Then the response when discussed on the phone where to park was very vague and hard to follow leading to us having to find a parking spot that we had to pay for seperately.Response from Summit Mountain Rentals - 04/03/2012
Manager
Thank you for your comments. Indeed you should have received a parking pass. There was nothing in our notes to indicate a problem, but this is a valuable review of our process to ensure the check in is a flawless as possible. We hope to see you again.

Great Falls, VALocation, location, location!
Left on 03/13/2009 for a stay in March 2009
We loved the convenience of having a place at the foot of the mountain since we have two children. Ski school and the hot tub/pool were very close, as were numerous take-out dinner options. The spaciousness of the condo surprised us -- we had so much room! Having a washer/dryer and kitchen was fantastic, in addition to three bathrooms and three TVs. It all contributed to a pleasant, easy stay.

Cary, NC, United StatesGreat location, but unit could be better
Left on 02/07/2009 for a stay in February 2009
Wasn't especially fond of the particular unit, but enjoyed the stay. Unit seemed to have a mold problem or something along those lines and could have been better furnished. Would have liked to have use of ski locker. Summit Rentals was great, though. Very helpful.

I would certainly rent from Summit Mountain Rentals again because they were super helpful, however, our unit, while very convenient to the slopes, was a little lacking. We did not have use of the ski locker (no keys), one of the bath's was dirty (yet absolutely love the supply of Aveda products!). Also, crock pot in kitchen was small with no lid, and coffee pot was missing inside basket (which is where the filter/coffee goes).
