We had a wonderful time! The only thing that could have been improved was the tub/shower in the second bathroom did not drain freely. Water backed up while showering.

My husband and I and another couple stayed here in early March and had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, well furnished, and had many custom features. Our king size bed was very comfortable, but our friends said their bed was fairly hard. Besides that, everything was perfect! The hot tubs at the fitness center nearby were well supplied with towels and so relaxing after a day of skiing. The Quicksilver lift was literally 50 yards from the entrance of the Chateaux Complex.

Very close to the lifts; spacious living and dining area. It took a few hours for the unit to heat up, but afterwards it held temperature very well. Great living and dining space for a group and vaulted ceilings are a nice plus. Plenty of dishes and cookware plus having an in-unit washer and dryer is a bonus. A special thanks to Summit Rentals for being so hospitable and accommodating!

The ski-in / ski-out aspect is great. Even though it isn't on the ground floor, it is extremely easy to get to the slopes. The finishes in the condo are very well done and comfortable.
I have a few items worth reporting though:
The garage is tight. We had a large SUV and it was extremely difficult to get in and out. I know it is wrong to complain about having the luxury of an indoor garage…but I thought I’d mention it.
The condo didn't seem to be able to keep up with the cold air outside. We had the thermostats running at full blast the entire time, and it didn't seem to be enough. We ended up using space heaters, blankets, and a fire to keep us warm.
Also, be aware - the toaster only has 2 settings uncooked and black. -

Great location! The pictures you see truly are the views from the condo - overlooking the Quicksilver lift, ski school and the hot tubs. The unit itself is starting to show some wear and tear with bruised base boards and doors, paint is chipping and some of the wallpaper is peeling. But for a place to ski and sleep, this is ideal and would definitely be considered again.

Unit was great - location, size, decor. However, we had major problems with the lack of space in the parking garage. Also, the elevator for the Chateaux building was out of order for the first 2 days of our stay. It made checking in with luggage up 4 flights of stairs very difficult.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Chateaux. This is our second time staying here. We love the convenience of ski-in/ski-out. From our windows we could see the ski school and the Quicksilver lift. The ski school area is a great place for the kids to go sledding after it is closed. The heated pool and spas are also nice to have after a long day of skiing. The unit we stayed in has been nicely updated. The only problem is the bedrooms do not heat up as well as the other rooms. Overall, I would recommend the Chateaux to others and would not mind coming back.

The property management company cleaned the condo hours before we checked in. Knowing this they should have turned the heat on for us when they were cleaning. It took about 12 hours for the unit to warm up to a comfortable temp. We froze during this time. Knowing they have guests coming in the heat should be turned on. My only major compliant.

This is a great condo in a great location - short walk to lifts and to Main Street. Liked the layout of the unit and the decor. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable except for the beds and the ineffective thermostats. The second bedroom and master bath were very cold. There was no way to heat them except with space heaters, which are provided. But using so many space heaters does pose concern (it takes several space heaters per area). First, it is either too hot or too cold. Some of the heaters, if bumped accidentally can burn! This is a concern especially if traveling with children. But, the radiant heaters are also the most effective at warming up the rooms. Also, there is the obvious concern of a fire hazard. So, just be aware of the need to use space heaters in order to stay warm if staying in this unit during the winter. Not sure if this is a problem throughout the entire building or just the unit we stayed in - Chateaux 1036. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay.

overall stay was excellent, except that critical component of any stay was sorely lacking....enjoyable bedding! the provided matresses in the unit were exteremely uncomfortable being much to firm by today's standard with pillow-top mattresses and underlying support as well, we feel that a unit of this quality should have more premier bedding

Major problem with Summit Rental occurred when we extended our stay an additional 3 days, but were not issued new access key cards to condo and garage. Thus we found our selves locked out of both condo and garage. LUCKILY, we walked to Summit Rental office and found it open. New key cards were then provided. Had the office been closed, we would have been in a heap of trouble. This oversight on key card viability needs to be corrected ASAP.
