Want to sleep in a room with your neighbor? Book at the Tannenba

I do not want to say anything negative about the staff, or the building itself, or the room, or the location, or the amenities. All of that was as expected for the price, and was as advertised. The one problem was that our room was connected to the room next door by what appeared to be a door but might as well not have existed. I have stayed in many hotel rooms with doors between rooms allowing them to be joined. This is completely different. I do not know what the door is made of, but it provided no blockage of sound whatsoever, in fact it acted as some kind of amplification device, and light pours in through inch wide spaces around the frame. The first of two nights, we got to listen in on the movie our neighbors were watching - I could not quite recognize it, despite hearing every word, I recognized many lines, and the soundtrack, it was a Tom Hanks movie. But they went to sleep at midnight so that was not so bad. On our second night, the room was occupied by about 15 people partying for spring break, with which I have no quarrels. I just don't want to be forced to party with you if I do not want to. After calling the police and having them stop by on two separate occasions, we soon realized they could do nothing because the noise was only coming into our room through this magical door-vortex. They finally passed out around 4 am. It was one of the worst nights I have ever spent, and I have never felt so helpless in a situation where I was actually paying someone to stay somewhere...
Meh - nothing special for the high price

So it was early March in Breckenridge...not the cheapest time to go. The rooms were adequate and clean. But for $250 a night, you'd at least think they could have updated the TV. I mean TV/VHS combo?! What is this, 1990?
Oh and you have to check in town, and then drive to this place. But the map they gave us, has you drive on a road that doesn't exist any more. Circled around a few times, but eventually had to get out the GPS and google maps to find out way to the room. All in all, checking in to getting to the room took about an hour. Read more
Hello- Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I apologze you found this room to be less than standard. Each unit is individually owned, and thereforeI will be more than happy to pass along your comments to them with hopes of upgrade. Our property management rents out over 200 properties around Breckenridge, and obviously we cannot have a check-in desk anywhere other than on Main Street. There are only two properties in our inventory that are before the Ski Country office when you get into town. You have to pass right by this office to go to Cedars anyways. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon in Breckenridge now that you know where we are! If you have important requests with certain updates to units, simply call us to book and ensure you are getting what you desire.
