AustinCool weather!
Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We enjoyed our time but there was several things that would have made the stay more comfortable and easier. One the supplies for the kitchen were very limited. Upstairs bedroom had no windows do needed some kind of ventilization. Dvd player never worked. Hot water was limited, had to space out the showers. Other than those few things, it was a great stay!

At short notice we were very happy to find Retreat 17. A perfect spot to base your family or group to access the skiing at Breckenridge. Cosy, well equipped and functional this is a a great location to access teh best of Breck.

Weatherford OklahomaThe condo looked like a frat house and smelled even worse.
Left on 03/23/2011 for a stay in March 2011
When we arrived the smell was terrible. Someone also left a dirty washclothe hanging in the shower. The shower faucet was busted. The bathroom floor down stairs felt like it might break through at any time. The couch looked like it came from a trash bin. One light switch had spakling covering one of the light switch holes. One light was held up with wire. We have traveled all over the us and rented condos. We have never stayed in one in such poor condition. We left one day early because it was so bad.

The Retreat is a great location a short walk from the Snowflake Lift & 4 o'clock Run. Easy access to beginner/intermediate skiing. Also convenient to bus line or walk to town. Comfortable for family with teens. Sleeps 8, 5 rooms, 2 levels: LR/DR, kitchen & den on main level, and 2 BR upstairs. Bath on each floor. Coin Laundry within building. Heated garage.

Atlanta, GADefinitely a budget experience...
Left on 02/10/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We got a great deal on this place, and I guess I can see why. It was warm and cozy, but there were several things that surprised us. There is no private hot tub, it is shared and it is a hike away; it is not ski-in/ski-out by my definition at least - you need to hike uphill about 100 meters to the nearest lift (Snowflake); the beds were quite uncomfortable; the kitchen was very small, and you had to unplug the microwave to use the refrigerator and vice versa. Next time we'll be looking at a nicer lodge with a private hot tub and actual ski-in/ski-out access (i.e. out the back door).

Houston, TexasThe Retreat at 4 O'Clock
Left on 01/19/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The location is great...less than a block away...price was reasonable..about $50/night for a package deal of stay 2 nights and get the 3rd free with all 3 day lift tickets. I give the place 2 1/2 stars. Very affordable...for basically almost ski in and ski out.

Nichols Hills, OKNeeds Improvement
Left on 01/14/2011 for a stay in December 2010
The condo was smaller than anticipated from the pictures, tvs were small and only two, one bed room was really small with no tv. Kitchen needs updated. Lost hot water the first day we were there. Took repairman 2-3 hours to show up. Dishwasher did not wash very well, had to rewash dishes by hand. No dvd player to watch movies, only vhs, (which no one would bring with them). Overall, the condo was located in perfect walking distance to downtown and snowflake lift, but personally i feel price is too high for such a small rundown condo. Garage has loose wires and pipes running in bad locations. Just wasnt worth parking in the garage, too much trouble to get in and out.

South CarolinaCheap Place, Good Location, Old, Small Bedrooms
Left on 01/14/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The Retreat is about the cheapest place you can get that is ski in and walk out. It is less than a block to Snowflake Lift and just across the street from Four'O Clock run. But unit did not have washer and dryer. Very small master bedroom(about the size of the queen bed in it) Small kitchen and den. Even with two bedrooms, tight fit for 4. It was clean, but dated 70's decor. No cookie sheet pans for toast pizza etc. No good pots, but plenty of utensils. Overall 2.5 of 5 stars.

We enjoyed 8 nights and 9 days in a spacious two bedroom condo. We had a garage too. Our children enjoyed the extra space, and we all benefited from two full bathrooms. We could have accomodated another family easily. Quick walk to pool and spa - Peak 9 lift and Beaver Run ski school were close. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TRIP

New YorkGreat location but could use some updating
Left on 01/21/2010 for a stay in January 2010
The home is in a great location with easy access to the lift and town. The only issue is that the home is older so appliances could be updated. Also, the heat on the first floor is not sufficient.

Aussie looking for a White Christmas
HoustonNice, but unfortunately over-sold & under-delivered..
Left on 01/13/2010 for a stay in December 2009
We stayed for a week over Xmas. When arriving, there was no-one to meet us at the office to give us the keys and had to keep our shuttle waiting, until someone arrived. The apartment is very nice, but starting to look a little dated. Very comfortable, and looks great at night with the fire burning.
We searched around for the Pool and Hot Tub, but could not find it, we asked VisitBreck where it was and were then told it was still under construction (delayed, supposed to have opened), but if completed before we left, they would advise. They never advised us it was completed, and when I asked later if we could receive a partial refund, were told, it was only unavailable for a few days (no one ever told us it was finally completed).
The apartment is a short walk over to end of a run, and you can catch a lift from up the hill. But I wouldn't consider it really "Ski in Ski out".. There was no drying room, just a 2nd living space / 3rd bedroom (without a door) that we used to dry our clothes.
Overall its a nice apartment, 4 people fit very comfortably, 8 would be very intimate..

Anderson, SCRetreat #17 needs to be renovated!
Left on 01/06/2010 for a stay in December 2009
We stayed at Retreat #17 from Dec. 27, 2009 - Jan. 3rd 2010. The unit is extremely basic. We have stayed at 2 other Retreat condos in years past which were in better shape.
The furniture was terrible! As if purchased from a second hand store. Appliances were in good shape though. Bedding was really gross - blankets, comforters - they also looked like stuff from Salvation Army or Goodwill Store. We were afraid to let them touch our bodies, but we had to stay warm some how! Heated garage is nice, but a lot of junk located here. Location of the Retreat Building is always good for close to being ski-in, ski-out! Pots and pans were fair. Heat worked well.
Service by Breck. Accomodations was good. -

Fort Wayne, IndianaGreat Location, OK Facility
Left on 02/11/2009 for a stay in February 2009
The Good: The location on 4 O'Clock road is great. We could walk to the Snowflake lift in moments and ski pretty much back to the street and all we had to do was cross it to get back to the apartment. Also, the layout of the apartment is very good and the heated garage is great. The bad: Fireplace was inoperable, the unit needs to be repainted, the furniture was not in good shape and the Christmas Tree should have been taken down by the first week of February.
