Black diamond lodge is a beautiful home! Steve with pinnacle was very quick to address any problems we had during our stay. The house has no TV in the family room but has a media room. We all enjoyed our time together and would recommend this home but many stairs

We rented this house for the weekend... it was everything we hoped for. The view is to die for. The house is unbelievable. Satellite radio in every room. Beautiful furniture. Wonderful kitchen. Hot tub! Wish we could have stayed forever.

We stayed with 3 other couples and enjoyed every minute. The property was lovely. Our only complaint was that the house was "smarter" than we were. We did not know how to operate much of the electronics, therefore we weren't able to turn on bedroom lights, televisions, etc. we had difficulty with the hot tub but when we called someone came out to service it. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay like royalty.

Our family had a fantastic stay in the lovely Black Diamond Lodge. We found the house to be just as it was described. Our young boys loved exploring the grounds and watching movies in the theatre room. All the kids enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. The views were spectacular, and the house is just minutes from downtown Breckenridge. The management company let us know they were available to meet out needs, though we never had need to contact them to see how responsive they would be. Upon arrival, we found the house to be clean and in good shape. We left a short "to do" list of items we noticed that were small and likely not noticed unless staying there for a period of time. The house is very high-tech, from the speakers wired to every room and even outside with XM, radio, theater sound, etc. to the remotes in the master suites that control lights, TV, sound and blinds to the multitude of dimmer switches for lights in every room. If you're tech savvy, you'll be fine. If you're tech challenged, it can take you a while to figure it out, even with instructions. I would recommend considering this for a fun and relaxing vacation stay.
House and view - fabulous; Management - not so much

The house itself was large, multi-level, high tech, and very comfortable with gorgeous views. Lighting and sound was zonal and took a day or two to master - we would have preferred just simple on/off switches. Kitchen and dining was wonderful as advertised. We spent most of our time in the kitchen, dining, and family rooms. The media room was highly advertised but worthless. You would think that at a high priced rental one could bring movies to watch on a blu-ray or dvd. I even asked via email, but none was available to guests. They (the management) on two different occasions claimed that there were many "pre-programmed" movies to watch. When we tried to bring up the index of movies it just hung and did nothing. When we reported it, the management claimed that we were never promised that and demanded that we produce the emails! When we began to complain, out came my pet peeve answer: "I just work here." In all, there was no movie watching. This rental also had a cleaning bill of $450 built into the cost. Apparently that is not enough. When we walked outside for the first time to check out the hot tub, we found beer bottles and cans and, believe it or not, old underwear, on the ground! Disgusting! The dishwasher would run for hours and the dishes seem to come out dirtier than when we put them in. There were no dish towels. Once those were delivered, we washed the dishes the old-fashioned way. One bedroom did not have the TV hooked up. We reported that on our second day but no one showed up to repair it. Normally, I would have been very upset, but on this trip I wanted to celebrate with my family my successful completion of cancer treatment and nothing was going to ruin it. If these things don't bother you and you don't have to deal with the management, go for it-it's an awesome house. If you worry about something not working, though, and getting the problem resolved, I would recommend that you keep looking. I for one will steer clear of VisitBreck rentals.

The home was clean and beautiful and the view was stunning. However......... when we arrived we had to shovel the walkways/patio/hotub as there was 5' new snow. It snowed one other time during our stay when we needed to shovel as well. That was really no big issue. What was very disappointing was the fact that the house came with beautiful media room but NO MEDIA. As we were there 10 days and not big nightlifers a strong attraction was the theater room and 300+ movies to relax after skiing that were promised. We could not access ANY movies. That in itself would even be tolerable but there was no DVD player and no option to hook one up as well. We could'nt even rent movies. Had we known this we likely would not have rented this property. I believe the most important thing in the hospitality business( any business) is for the customer recieve what is promised. Thanks for asking.
