Yep. Your friends are going to be jealous when they see your vacation pictures this year. That's because Burgan Ranch luxury cabin in Breckenridge is the spitting image of the Colorado mountain getaway that's popped into your mind every time you've dreamt of a ski or summer vacation in the Rockies.
Surround yourself with warm wood decor and furniture, soft quilts, a roaring fireplace - all with high-end touches - and all nestled within a surreal alpine setting. There are 120 piney acres to call your own and 8,000 acres of Whitewater National Forest beyond that. Inside, this house sleeps 10 with accommodations including a beautiful m...aster bedroom and two bedrooms with queen beds.
Sweeping 180-degree views from the home's setting on historic Gibson Hill include Breckenridge Ski Resort's powdery slopes - which will tempt you to go play outdoors - or simply take it all in from the private hot tub. Watch deer and elk in the meadow in front of the cabin and enjoy sunsets - as well as fireworks on the Fourth of July - during the torchlight parade, and New Years Eve from your 65 foot deck. Hike to the nearby ghost town and historic markers left by early Spanish explorers. Pan for gold in the nearby streams, have a picnic or tell stories while sitting by a campfire at night.
The kicker? All this beauty and privacy is just 2.5 miles from Main Street, Breckenridge, filled with boutiques, galleries, great restaurants and nightlife.
Please note: Four-wheel drive is strongly recommended during winter months.Read more

We arrived after hours. Had to search on foot a bit for the real estate office (?street address off a few digits on paperwork?) but once found everything was in order. The cabin in the woods is just that, perfectly adequate and pet friendly. Catalytic converter fireplace comes with instructions. Bring some of those firestarter matches. Gas stovetop temps hard to control, but it works. Bring your own non-stick skillet and muffin tins if you plan to cook a lot. The 29 acres of snow covered land is your playground. Spectacular! The kids made a sled run and a snowboard run and had as much fun playing in the woods as they did on the slopes, maybe more! The view of the ski runs is perfectly centered off the back porch and in the picture window. Moon sets there. Sun rises there. Priceless. A photographer's dream setting.
I would have enjoyed a small "sitting room" furniture grouping in the master suite for which there is plenty of open floor space. And we would have appreciated being able to use the detached garage...there was a front loader and a big Suburban occupying that space. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing. We will be back.
Burgan Ranch is a great house - remote, private, spacious, with outstanding views.
Amenities and furnishings are a good mix of mountain decor and modern comfort Great deck overlooking Breck ski area from a distance.
The house is well supplied overall. Tons of pillows and sheets, but hardly any blankets were available for the futons and sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa mattress is worthless and should be supplemented with a memory foam pad (or a new mattress altogether).
The hot tub wasn't hot when we arrived (because it was off season), but that should have been noted by the property manager (especially since use of the hot tub was something we discussed with them). Additionally, both propane tanks for the BBQ grill were empty so we had to go to City Market in the middle of cooking dinner.
Overall, the management company was a pleasure to work with and the house was comfortable. Staying there was a treat.

We had a very nice week. The rental was as advertised. It was clean and everything worked. The people we talked with in making the reservation were friendly and helpful as were the people that checked us in. We hope to return. it really is a nice house in a great location.

Thank you Candace at visitbreck.com. What a great vacation! We wanted to take our family (6 adults) somewhere quiet and private, but be close to town; this was the place! Downtown Breckenridge, AMR ski rental, City Market & Peaks 7 & 8 are literally minutes away. The property offers all the comforts of home and then some. Beds are comfy. Baths are spacious. Views are breathtaking! We really enjoyed the hot tub on those cold snowy nights. Having the driveway plowed daily was a bonus. One day we rented snowshoes and hiked on the property. It was so beautiful! The only negative thing I can think of is that we could have used more ' working ' humidifiers but we boiled water and made due with what was there.
Thank you so much for this amazing experience... we'll be back :-)

I sought this property because I have an older dog who cannot handle stairs, but still needs access to outside. I have stayed in many different places in Colorado and this was by far, the best rental I have ever had the pleasure to rent. The hosue was clean and well appinted. The privacy was unmatched. I will truly be back many times to this outstanding property.

This was a last minute vacation. Planned to ski, etc. We arrived at Breckenridge accomidations office, they gave us incorrect directions to the house. So we spent an hour trying to find this house. Finally called and they easily talked us to the right area. We then had trouble getting into the gate ( wich gave us trouble the entire trip) Half of the time the ladies with Breck accomidations were very rude!!! The owners of this Beautiful home need to know about this! This company isnt helping them rent this home!
But to the home, wow the view is wonderful! We sat in the hot tub every night and watched the snow cats across the way and the stars were great! The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The bathroms are cold. The pics on most of the websites for this house dont do it justice. Both bathrooms have been remodeled. We spent our days out and didnt use the kitchen, but it could handle any thing you wanted to do! You have to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get into this property in the snow! Only about a 7 min drive to town when roads are slick.
We hope to visit this home in the summer. I think there will be so much more to see and do! Its hard to get out and play when the snow comes up to your waist! But the slopes were fantastic!!!

The place was great, very big and comfortable with 8 people. Very Clean and had all the necessary amenities. I would recommend bringing a humidifier due to the altitude the house is located - near tree line.
There were a few problems:
The shuttle driver was rude and seemed frantic. We called him an hour and half before we needed picking up for skiing and he said okay but then he couldn't b/c "I just have too many things going on.". Not great when we picked the place due to the free shuttle being able to take us to the lifts and town. We didn't rely on him anymore and had to drive our own cars.
We asked for wood the first night we got there (which I'm assuming it should have been there) and it didn't arrive until late 2 days later. (asked Thursday night, arrived Saturday).
Key's to the garage where we needed to put the trash were never provided, leaving for a mess in the front entry way until we left. We asked for the keys a few times but no one brought them to us.
The house was great, perfect size and worked well for us, it was just the small things that were irritating.

We stayed at the Burgan Ranch for the entire Thanksgiving week. My wife and two childred (5 and 11) plus our yellow lab loved the home and surrounding property. It was like having our own ranch just above town. Incredible views of the mountains and the sunsets provided a great light show each evening. We received a lot of snow during our stay so you definately needed 4 wheel drive. However, they did plow the roads up to the house every morning before 8am. We did not have any problems even with the heavy snow.

We had the best time. The house is comfortable and able to handle a party 50+ and still be small enough to keep up with a small child. The location is out of the way but close enough to be able to go to town in about 7 minutes. The wildlife is a plus, elk and deer on the property every evening. Quiet and room to hike on the property, with the best access to trails for hiking or aTV. We did it all and the garage was big enough to hold aTV, bikes, and a truck. Bring all your toys and the dog. I think our dog enjoyed the trip as much as we did. Thanks for sharing this wonderful home.

A great no hassle service from visitbreck.com with a good deal for an excellent
Burgan Ranch is a fantastic property in a great location for views, piece & quiet
and relaxing after an adventurous day in the mountains! The property was in
excellent condition with everything you need for a fab holiday. We would
definitely recommend this property & would stay again.
We found a 4x4 was definitely required and although private & secluded is
what we were looking for all the local amenities were only 10 - 15mins
away..... with a 7 eleven at the bottom of the hill just in case!
