Oak Park, Illinois, United StatesFamily retreat w/ all the cooking essentials
Left on 12/02/2012 for a stay in November 2012
My extended family stayed at Burgan ranch for our Thanksgiving vacation and it was an amazing experience. The house comes equipt with all the neccessary tools for preparing your Thansgiving fest, with the exception of a turkey roaster pan.
I agree with the other posters that in the winter it would be tricky to get to this location with ice / snow on the road, so a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must. Luckily we didn't experience any issues. Also, the house is at about 10,300 feet above sea level so folks that aren't use to this altitude will have a hard time adjusting and might want to consider a rental at a lower elevation.
For renters with dogs this is a great location with a huge fenced in back yard (my best estimate is 50 by 100 feet). My pups really loved it since there were plenty of things to smell and tons of room to play.
The pictures do not due the house justice. The bathrooms are newly renovated (although strangely enough the master bathroom / on suite doesn't have a door). The bedrooms have a cozy lodge feeling because of the tasteful decor. And most importantly the views of Breckenridge's ski slopes are amazing. The house is directly across from the Breck slopes so it was also fun to see the lights from the crews prepping the slopes nightly for the next days activitites. My only compliant is that the wireless internet was really slow, so staying connected to work was painful. But if disconnecting from world and spending time with your family is on the agenda then this is the place for you. -

We had a very nice week. The rental was as advertised. It was clean and everything worked. The people we talked with in making the reservation were friendly and helpful as were the people that checked us in. We hope to return. it really is a nice house in a great location.

Thank you Candace at visitbreck.com. What a great vacation! We wanted to take our family (6 adults) somewhere quiet and private, but be close to town; this was the place! Downtown Breckenridge, AMR ski rental, City Market & Peaks 7 & 8 are literally minutes away. The property offers all the comforts of home and then some. Beds are comfy. Baths are spacious. Views are breathtaking! We really enjoyed the hot tub on those cold snowy nights. Having the driveway plowed daily was a bonus. One day we rented snowshoes and hiked on the property. It was so beautiful! The only negative thing I can think of is that we could have used more ' working ' humidifiers but we boiled water and made due with what was there.
Thank you so much for this amazing experience... we'll be back :-)

I sought this property because I have an older dog who cannot handle stairs, but still needs access to outside. I have stayed in many different places in Colorado and this was by far, the best rental I have ever had the pleasure to rent. The hosue was clean and well appinted. The privacy was unmatched. I will truly be back many times to this outstanding property.

TexasNice home but good luck with Breck accomidations!
Left on 02/23/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This was a last minute vacation. Planned to ski, etc. We arrived at Breckenridge accomidations office, they gave us incorrect directions to the house. So we spent an hour trying to find this house. Finally called and they easily talked us to the right area. We then had trouble getting into the gate ( wich gave us trouble the entire trip) Half of the time the ladies with Breck accomidations were very rude!!! The owners of this Beautiful home need to know about this! This company isnt helping them rent this home!
But to the home, wow the view is wonderful! We sat in the hot tub every night and watched the snow cats across the way and the stars were great! The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The bathroms are cold. The pics on most of the websites for this house dont do it justice. Both bathrooms have been remodeled. We spent our days out and didnt use the kitchen, but it could handle any thing you wanted to do! You have to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get into this property in the snow! Only about a 7 min drive to town when roads are slick.
We hope to visit this home in the summer. I think there will be so much more to see and do! Its hard to get out and play when the snow comes up to your waist! But the slopes were fantastic!!! -

The place was great, very big and comfortable with 8 people. Very Clean and had all the necessary amenities. I would recommend bringing a humidifier due to the altitude the house is located - near tree line.
There were a few problems:
The shuttle driver was rude and seemed frantic. We called him an hour and half before we needed picking up for skiing and he said okay but then he couldn't b/c "I just have too many things going on.". Not great when we picked the place due to the free shuttle being able to take us to the lifts and town. We didn't rely on him anymore and had to drive our own cars.
We asked for wood the first night we got there (which I'm assuming it should have been there) and it didn't arrive until late 2 days later. (asked Thursday night, arrived Saturday).
Key's to the garage where we needed to put the trash were never provided, leaving for a mess in the front entry way until we left. We asked for the keys a few times but no one brought them to us.
The house was great, perfect size and worked well for us, it was just the small things that were irritating.

Houston/Woodlands, TXBurgan Ranch was incredible
Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We stayed at the Burgan Ranch for the entire Thanksgiving week. My wife and two childred (5 and 11) plus our yellow lab loved the home and surrounding property. It was like having our own ranch just above town. Incredible views of the mountains and the sunsets provided a great light show each evening. We received a lot of snow during our stay so you definately needed 4 wheel drive. However, they did plow the roads up to the house every morning before 8am. We did not have any problems even with the heavy snow.

Happy family
HoustonGreat family vacation
Left on 07/01/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We had the best time. The house is comfortable and able to handle a party 50+ and still be small enough to keep up with a small child. The location is out of the way but close enough to be able to go to town in about 7 minutes. The wildlife is a plus, elk and deer on the property every evening. Quiet and room to hike on the property, with the best access to trails for hiking or aTV. We did it all and the garage was big enough to hold aTV, bikes, and a truck. Bring all your toys and the dog. I think our dog enjoyed the trip as much as we did. Thanks for sharing this wonderful home.

A great no hassle service from visitbreck.com with a good deal for an excellent
rental property.
Burgan Ranch is a fantastic property in a great location for views, piece & quiet
and relaxing after an adventurous day in the mountains! The property was in
excellent condition with everything you need for a fab holiday. We would
definitely recommend this property & would stay again.
We found a 4x4 was definitely required and although private & secluded is
what we were looking for all the local amenities were only 10 - 15mins
away..... with a 7 eleven at the bottom of the hill just in case!
A fantastic location in, highly recommended.
