If location is at the top of your checklist, Casa De Alta certainly ticks that box. Multiple families, or large groups, love this distinctive Breckenridge vacation home for its proximity to both downtown Breckenridge's restaurants and shopping and Breckenridge Ski Resort's epic skiing.Advanced skiers will get a kick out of accessing the ski resort via the Burro Trail (located a few blocks from home) - a skiable access trail that intersects Peak 9 - and ski back to the area from Peak 10 (all black trails), a thrilling way to end the ski day. The trail is also great for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and, when the snow melts, hiking. This... light, bright home is specifically designed for large family groups, allowing them to gather in great common areas and also retreat to private areas when they need a little space. The home boasts two master bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. The main master includes a king-sized bed and a large bathroom. All told, the house sleeps 18.Casa de Alta's two kitchens are great for entertaining, and a game of pool is always in order for the competitive set. Or if relaxing is your thing, be content to relax in your own private indoor hot tub (no need to dash back in from the cold outdoor air). When it’s time to return to civilization, just drive 1.5 miles to Breckenridge's Main Street or walk 0.5 miles to the free shuttle stop.Read more

This house was perfect to accommodate a large group of people. We had several couples in our group, and 4 of the bedrooms had bathrooms included, which was a huge plus. The layout of the house was perfect for cooking, eating together, hanging out, pool, etc. Couldn't ask for a better location too. A short jaunt through the woods put you on peak 9, and although we didn't ski back into the house, I'm sure there would be a way. Friendly check in staff! All around a very pleasant vacation home! We will be back in the future.

Casa De alta will always bring fond memories for our family. The indoor hot tub was awesome! The number of beds and bedrooms was great! The mattresses and all the couches and chairs need to be replaced as they are all shot.
The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. We were happy to find the second kitchen downstairs for the refrigerator (Microwave & oven downstairs didn't work).

The house offered enough space to accommodate everyone, as we travelled with our family and 4 other couples this house was ideal. There was enough communal rooms to be together and the bedrooms were spacious enough to give everyone their privacy. We really loved entertaining and relaxing in the house.
Location was very nice too. Not exactly what we would call ski in/out but close enough to be enjoyable.

I am beyond disgusted with Breckenridge accommodations. When I paid the initial balance the rental information stated that the security deposit would be a hold on my credit card that would be refunded the day I left. I got an e-mail a month before we were supposed to stay saying that my check hadn't been received yet. Since my balance had already been paid, I e-mailed them back to inquire what the issue was.
It turns out that even though I had electronically signed a different agreement, they wanted me to comply with a whole different set of rule by sending a check for the security deposit a whole month before our stay. I told them I would not be able to accommodate that. The action they pulled is called a bait and switch and is illegal. They e-mailed me back and told me that they would be able to just hold my check in case there were damages due to the circumstance. Finding that acceptable, I sent my check right away.
Naturally, they cashed it upon receiving it. I contacted them again and was told that my money could be refunded immediately after I got home. In my eyes, this is tantamount to stealing since they acquired the money from me through deceptive means. Since the trip was only several days away, I reluctantly agreed.
The cabin itself was okay. The downstairs stove was broken. They misrepresented the number of beds the house had (there are not two queen/full beds with bunks. Only one) causing some strife amongst my friends. Pieces of broken trim were sitting on the counter when we arrived.
Once I got back, I waited for a few days to get my money back. Over the next two weeks, I've sent countless e-mails and gotten countless back telling me that my money would be back to me soon. It still has not happened yet. Since then, I have been charged late fees on several bills that I have due.
We bring a group of approximately 70 people all together out to Colorado each year. We certainly will not be going through Breckenridge accommodations again.

I liked best that we can cook-in and have family and extended family and friends spend evening time after a great day of skiing. This is the way to enjoy multi-generational vacations. And now with the VIP shuttle service, the flexibility for individual needs and trips to town or the slopes is unlimited. I can see that upcoming grandchildren will enjoy this flexibility with us folks that are starting to give up the double diamond slots and out-of bounds adventures :-). We can relax in the hot tub before cooking, and everyone can come in at their own pace.
This place is so wonderful, we've come back every year for the past five sweasons.
The location is good for skiers who can navigate a trail through the woods to a run to the lift, and enjoy (or work through) a longer trek back to the house. (A little tough for less experienced riders (boarders).
