The Gondola House, a four bedroom Breckenridge vacation rental, can sleep a maximum of eight adults and ten with children.
Experience the very best that Breckenridge has to offer when you stay at our historic Gondola House, completely renovated in 2007 from the ground up to include all of the latest and most exquisite fixtures and furnishings. This home is truly a one of a kind ski lodge in the heart of downtown Breckenridge; you can’t find a better location in town. Located at 301 North Main Street, this home is the nearest single family home to the BreckConnect Gondola for convenient walking distance access to the ski area. This Breckenridge lodge also offers easy access to Main Street, just one-half block away. And if that weren’t enough, the Blue River runs adjacent to the property so you can sit on your private deck or in the hot tub and listen to the sounds of a rushing river only steps away. It just doesn’t get any better than this and it's ideal for small or large families!
The entrance to this home opens up to a staircase leading up to a sitting room with elegantly chiseled stone and glass tile fireplace, and French doors leading out to a deck and unobstructed 180 degree views which include the slopes on Peaks 7, 8, 9 and 10. On the opposite side of the sitting room is a gourmet kitchen with built-in bar, a Wolf gas stove, Sub Zero refrigerator and freezer, knotty Alder wood cabinets, and “leathered” granite counters. The kitchen overlooks the dining area with an iron and wood dining table and the sitting room beyond.
On the main level are two bedrooms and the extra bunk room; the King Master with glass tiled fireplace, canopy bed, steam shower, and views and sounds of the river; the Queen Master decorated to create a feeling of seclusion when combined with the rush of the river, includes private access to the flagstone patio and outdoor hot tub on the Blue River; the Bunk Room is furnished with a twin-over-full bunk bed and has access to an adjacent full bathroom with copper sink and luxurious tiling.
The lower level opens up to a bar with knotty Alder cabinets, solid granite counter bar and soft leather bar stools. Beyond the bar is a large living room with stone fireplace, two large couches and two overstuffed armchairs. The 46” flat screen TV can be viewed from every part of this open and spacious room. There are two additional bedrooms: the Mini Master with four poster Queen bed and detailed ¾ bath, and a 5th bedroom with views of the sky and mountains from the Queen bed. This bedroom also features an en-suite 3/4 bathroom with Euro Glass shower. From the living room you can access the flagstone patio and outdoor hot tub to take in the views of the Breckenridge ski resort while listening to the sounds of the Blue River running alongside the home.
Let the sound of the river lull you to sleep with a feeling of being far away from it all; then wake up to the convenience of being in downtown historic Breckenridge, steps to the restaurants and boutiques, and of course, steps to the Gondola and miles of ski terrain.
We are also happy to offer all guests staying at this downtown four bedroom Breckenridge vacation rental with Book Breck DISCOUNTED LIFT TICKETS for Breckenridge Ski Resort!

Nashua, NHAmazing location and even better accommodations
Left on 02/04/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We have a group of friends/coworkers ranging from late 20's to late 40's who all take 1 or 2 ski trips a year around the country. This is the 3rd of 4 trips to Breck where we have stayed at the Gondola House (only because we did not jump on it early enough one year). For starters, the team @ BookBreck lodging has been great to work with. Customer Service is top notch, which is always key in planning a ski/board trip. The lodging itself, with all of its amenities is the best house we have stayed at. You start the day only a 5min walk to the gondola (you can see it right across the parking lot from your private outdoor hot tub). After a day of powder turns and face shots, you'll want to check out apres ski at Sevens or T Bar before taking the gondola back to the house. Continue apres ski on the large deck overlooking Peak 8, the high end bar/entertainment area in the basement, or that hot tub before hitting the town. It's also in one of the best locations in town for night life being right off Main St. 5min walk from Eric's, Gold Pan, Salt Creek, Hearthstone, and dozens of other bars/restaurants. We will continue to book the Gondola House for many years to come. Enjoy your trip!

Daphne, AlabamaSimply splendid
Left on 07/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My husband and I were extremly fortunate to stay at Gondola House for a week with family members who rented the property for a month. Hard to express how lovely and perfect this location is. I won't bother posting any more pictures since the ones already posted sum up the house very accurately.
From the outside, the house doesn't look all that large. Don't let that fool you. It's 3000 square feet of upscale comfort and convenience. It is located directly on Watson at Main, but don't let that put you off. Traffic noise is a non-issue and we did not feel "exposed" by the continuous pedestrian traffic at all. The outside space afforded this property is incredible considering you could hardly be more in-town than this; the large deck facing the mountains, the hot tub and the stone patio all on the banks of the rushing Blue River are wonderful. We opened our bedroom window the moment we arrived and it stayed that way 100% of the week; the cool air and sound of the river were wonderful sleep aids.
The top floor can get a bit warm in the summer time due to the warm air rising through the house and the roof's southern exposure. We enjoyed having the west-facing french doors and the southern windows open all the time for a cooling breeze.
There is off-street parking and a garage for storage. We drove a rental in from Denver which turned out to be completely unnecessary; the house is so convenient we walked everywhere. Many of the activities located away from town offer transport, so again, a rental really isn't needed. Just take the Summit Shuttle from the airport. The Bond at Breck is located steps away on the other side of the small parking area. Valerie and her husband can supply you with delicious coffee and tasty food all day long...and then cater dinner if you don't want to cook or go out.
The gondola is a 1-2 minute walk. If it happens to not be running due to the hour or the weather, there are free ride bus stops 30 seconds away on Watson. Paved and unpaved trails stretch north and south along the Blue. Chipmunks, hummingbirds and other bird species are there if you just look. Fly fishing is possible with in walking distance, too.
If forced to point out a downside to Gondola House it would be the stairs...the house is spread out over three floors; 32 steps from the family room in the lower level to the living/dining/kitchen/deck area on the top level. The entry is on the middle level (along w/ three of five bedrooms), so to use the house, you do climb stairs numerous times a day which at this altitude was a challenge for middle-aged, low-landers like us. Huffing and puffing aside, we would consider it a very special treat to stay here in the future. -

That is by far the best place in Breckenridge. The Gondola lift is right there, the view, you are downtown, walk to everywhere, etc. The Gondola House is perfect in every respect.
