Houston, TXPerfect Getaway
Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in January 2012
This house was the perfect getaway for us. It was up on the mountain - and yes, 4 wheel drive is a must - away from the noise of town. However, town was a quick 10-15 minute drive for dining out and skiing. The house itself was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace, the pool table and the hot tub. Pet friendly, which is important to us, as we always travel with our four legged friend. It was well equipped for cooking. On days that it snowed, people showed up to shovel the drive and the porches. Plenty of firewood, if you wanted to chop it yourself, but we chose to buy it in town. Overall, a great stay!

Austin, TXWhat a Wonderful Stay!
Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in December 2011
My husband and I took a spur-of-the-moment trip over the New Year's holiday and were fortunate enough to find the Hideaway cabin. The views from this cabin are amazing and the cabin itself is so nice and cozy.
We spent many wonderful days sitting on the couch by the fire reading our books and looking out at the stunning views of Mt. Quandary from the comfort of the living room. Our dog, Jack, also had a great time playing in the snow and exploring the front/back yards.
The cabin also has a wonderful front/back deck that would be such fun to enjoy during the summertime. And, the hot tub on the back deck was wonderful on the especially cold evenings! We also got a lot of great use out of the pool/Ping-Pong table.
This was one of our favorite stays in Blue River. We spent most days/nights at the cabin itself, not feeling a great need to go into Breckenridge because we had everything we needed where we were.
The only drawbacks, which are very minor, would be that there's no wireless and the phone reception out there is pretty limited. Also, there aren't any real window covering so at night you feel a little bit on display.
All in all though, this was a great vacation and we definitely plan on coming back with our pup, Jack, and bringing our friends with us!

Brooklyn, NYBest Winter Vacation Spot
Left on 06/22/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We (myself, boyfriend, and several other friends) stayed in this house for two full months - January and February 2011. The house is a 15 minute drive from Breckenridge - just secluded enough to be in touch with nature and just close enough to town for all its amenities. The house has incredible views of the surrounding mountains and is quite comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen, radiant heating floors, pool table, and plenty of beds. There is ample common space and a sizeable dining room table.
We came for winter sports in Breckenridge and the surrounding area, but some days, we ended up staying home because the house was just so comfortable to lounge in.
It was a pleasure dealing with the rental folks. They were great about coming by to maintain the property. I would definitely recommend this spot to others; in fact, we're already dreaming of a return trip next winter! -

We came from California and met our Colorado friends for a wonderful retreat and amazing accomodations. The home was mountain style comfortable, the hot tub under the trees fantastic and the views to die for. It is just a short drive to the fun town, where we spent Saturday walking around (not too busy - between seasons) and then just grabbed groceries, a bottle of wine and enjoyed cooking our own dinner, sitting in the hot tub and visiting.

Pueblo, ColoradoThe views of Mt Quandry are spectacular!
Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in September 2010
The views are spectacular and the home is very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub. The driveway is quite steep and a bit difficult to navigate however we had no problems with the driveway during our stay. The altitude is higher than I expected and should probably be included in the promotion materials. Our grand daughter was recovering from an ear infection and the altitude really bothered her.

Left on 11/02/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Overall this place was amazing. We took part 2 of our honeymoon at the hideaway cabin in September. I never imagined I could get so much cabin for our budget. The location was private and beautiful. I loved being out of the city but just a couple minutes to drive into Breck for supper and shopping. The hot tub, pool table, huge deck, balcony... were all most enjoyed. The kitchen and master bedroom/bath were also great.

We fell in love with Hideaway Cabin. Nestled in the woods high up a mountain road, this home is spacious yet cozy. High end amenities only add to the luxurious experience we had while celebrating an early Christmas up in Breckenridge. We look forward to a time in the future when we can spend some time there.
