Haus Bergwald sits on the side of Peak 7 surrounded by national forest land and some homes in Discovery Sub-division, up-slope from the town of Breckenridge. It is one mile from the Peak 7 base area and gondola and 1 1/2 miles from Peak 8. Views from the large windows are of the mountains across the valley and some ski slopes. Breckenridge offers wonderful restaurants and shopping, as well as nightlife for those with enough stamina, at the end of a day full of outdoor activities.

We have stayed at the house a number of times and truly love it. A home away from home. Right down the road from the ski area makes for a quick and convenient experience. The kitchen has all we need to make our meals and town is just down the hill. The views from the house oare one of my favorite things. The hot tub is a welcome respit after a day of skiing. We enjoy ourselves so much we have made it an annual retrat.
Coming from sea level in New Hampshire, I just wish the stairs from the garage to the main floor weren't there.

House has lots of capacity and especially large living area. Kitchen is well appointed, and there is a grill on the deck. Deck is really great on nice winter evenings after skiing. Careful in the driveway, it can get slippery.
