The house and location was a perfect fit for a ski trip. We were able to ski multiable sites and enjoy quite evenings at the house. Plenty of room for everyone and plenty of parking.

My family of four and our friend enjoyed a terrific stay at Lone Hand Lodge. The home was nearly brand new at the time and in excellent condition. There was plenty of space for our tiny group of five to spread out, while the home would comfortably house much larger groups.
Positives: Brand new home in excellent condition. All key utilities working at all times (radiant heating... very cool!). Gas fireplaces and hot tub in excellent working order. Also pleased to find a house-wide humidifier built-in. Televisions, cable and wireless internet all in working order. Dvd players (non-BlueRay) in main rooms. Also appears to be a speaker system throughout the home that I could not figure out (likely user error). Kitchen, breakfast nook were ample space. Plenty of linens, dishes provided. There was a large washer/dryer space that we did not need to use. The garage was a very large two-car, with plenty of space for skis, boots, etc. After a snow, our driveway was even plowed for us.
Negatives: View is likely overplayed in write-up. No TV in master bedroom (maybe not a negative to many). Would have liked a few more sundries (for example, we ran out of paper towel quickly). Descriptions on how to operate speaker system, the plethora of remote controls and the fireplaces would save time (hint to those renting in future: fireplaces in common areas are operated by separate thermostats, not by switches or remotes). Bathroom on main level is shared with a guest bedroom. Drive up to home, during bad weather, could be beastly with a few switchbacks (we were fortunate, so perhaps they plow impeccably).
Obviously, these negatives are very nit-picky. We had an excellent time, and would come back again. -

The accommodations exceeded our expectations with great views. It had everything for our family. Although it required us to drive, to slopes or to town it was not that inconvenient to use parking and buses.
I would highly recommend for family vacations.

As they say, " don't yell fire in a theater" and don't say "free" to the extended family. We did and it was the best thing that we ever did. The home is wonderful. Decorated to the 10's, has everything thing you can ask for, and its close to Breckenridge. We had two wonderful weeks there in July 2012 and would not hesitate to do again.
