Description from the manager
Classic high country privacy at its best. Great place to hold a family affair, with lots of cozy rooms for conversation and regaling of memories. Swan River Lodge is a beautiful property inside and out. Old west motif and log cabin feel make the inside sweet and quaint, while the expanse of land and wildflower outside make for a curious adventure. A place from which to appreciate the high country, to watch the sun set, the snowfall, the seasons change.
An unmatchable statement in mountain home design, every single element of Swan River Lodge exudes attention to detail. Eighty-eight thousand pounds of pine logs from just outside Yel...Read more

Very satisfied. The only minus points are that the extra beds in the rooms are not adult-sized and that the location is a bit remote.

El Campo, TX, United StatesTerrific vacation with family and friends!
Left on 03/18/2013 for a stay in March 2013
The Swan River Lodge was the perfect place for our spring break vacation. The amount of space in this house was ample. We especially enjoyed the kitchen/dinning area where we could all be together for meals. The views from each floor of the house were terrific. We were also thrilled with the fact that each bedroom had its on dedicated bathroom. The lowest level of this home was perfect for our older children. They spent hours playing pool, watching movies in the theater room, and sitting in the hot tub on the outside patio. The only complaint that any of us had with this property was the the mattresses on each of the beds. They were very uncomfortable due to the fact that they were either very old or extremely worn out. Other than that, this was an absolutey perfect place to stay!

This property is awesome. It had everything you could want, was a ten minute drive from the slopes, and could easily fit 20 people. We had 16 people for a bachelor party, and couldn't imagine a better housing arraignment than what we got. If you're trying to go with a good amount of people or even a couple families this is perfect. Great staff as well.

I highly recommend this property for a large family gathering. We loved seating all 14 of us at the long table. The views from the kitchen and living room were stunning, and the quiet road made for lovely walks. Hot tub was wonderful. Lots of room for people to spread out, and lovely large areas to come back together.

Everything was great. The water pump makes a fair amount of noise, and there was a car parked in the garage, but other than that it was about perfect. Thanks again for a great time!!!!

The propery was a good value. It could use some updates and several advbertised features were not working and look like they had been broken for some time (sauna). Some of the chairs could be replaced/updated, but overall the place maet all needs with plenty of room for our large group.

The home was clean and open with plenty of inviting spaces for visiting and playing cards and games, as well as a pool table, hot tub and steam room. We were a party of 18 and everyone had plenty of space. This home is huge. All gave the place and vacation a thumbs up!

Left on 07/27/2009 for a stay in July 2009
The house needs some upkeep but otherwise is very nice. It took a long time to get into town, but I think that had more to do with road construction than anything else. Because we weren't able to stay in our original choice property, we didn't have to pay full price for the house. I think we would have been less satisfied if we had had to pay full price.

Mooresville, INLovely place to stay and a few items for review
Left on 09/04/2008 for a stay in September 2008
Overall the home was great and in good shape. Swan River Lodge was a wonderful place for our family reunion. It provided spacious facilities and entertainment options which included a hot tub, pool table and horse shoe pit. The view is breathtaking especially from the living room windows. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return soon.
A note the the staff regarding items which need attention: Washing machine leaks and fills only half full. The pool table has several bumps and slopes. The jets on the hot tub are not all functioning to capacity. These are minor issues which did not hinder our enjoyment but thought you might like to review for possible improvements.Response from Summit Mountain Rentals - 10/29/2009

Thank you for completing the survey. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Swan River Lodge. We have addressed all the issues you'be brought to our attention: The washing machine has been replaced. The hot tub jets are all working but some are weaker than others.

Groves, TXOn top of the world on your four wheel ATV!!!
Left on 08/14/2008 for a stay in August 2008
Our stay could not have been more perfect. We brought our four wheel ATV's to ride forestry roads up into the mountains. The location of the Swan River Lodge could not be better. It is only 1.5 miles down Tiger road until you are on unpaved forestry roads which are legal to ride your 4 wheel ATV's on.(A Colorado permit is required on ATV's which cost about $25 per year) The Swan River Lodge is even great on those Colorado afternoons when rain showers come through. We had a great time playing pool, playing board games or just reading a book in front of one of the large windows with awesome views of the mountains. While riding ATV's up in the mountains we were able to see many white mountain goats with their young. We were also able to play and take great photos in the patches of snow that still remain at the end of July and begining of August. The Swan River Lodge is just in the edge of Breckenridge but also on the edge of wide open spaces. We rode trails for three days and saw less than ten vehicles of any kind while up in the mountains. (Very quite and secluded.)
P.S. You should see my photos ... awesome!!! Ken D. from Groves, Texas -

I turned in a survey sheet at checkout. We had a very good stay. Basically, the upstairs king bed needs a new mattress and a new shower head in the upstairs bath. The rugs that on top of carpet need pads to keep from bunching as this is a tripping hazard. I hope this helps.

,Swan River Lodge rental
Left on 07/22/2008 for a stay in July 2008
I was disappointed in several things. I left this in the survey box and I hope it was received.
1-the sheets did not fit the beds. three guests woke up witht heir face on the mattresses in the morning.
2- the stea was out of order, in this dry air it would have been nice
3-Pool table has a cracked slate really couldnt use
4- only a few jets work on the hot tub andit was full of mosquitoes the first day we used it.
5- the furniture in the room off the kitchen is garage sale specials and is dirty and worn out.
6- the remote for the "entertainment room " was not working.
I was pleased with management until the day I checked out when im politely expressed some of my concerns. The lady there that morning could really care less about my comments/suggestions, she hardly even listened to me as she walked around the office not even making eye contact.
The house is well located and could be beautiful but the owner needs to put some money back into it. I understand Xeriscaping, but please , look at some of the other homes in the area, at least they have some landscaping design not just weeds growing all over.
Well, you asked for my opinion and there you have it!
