Cayman IslandsTerrific week skiing. Riverbend Lode 117 is very tired
Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Unit 117 is spacious for a couple but it is tired and old and needs some interior refurbishment right away. The bedding and sheets were old and felt worn out even though they must have been clean. The sofa / futon was awfully uncomfortable as both a sofa and a sleeper. The carpet is old and looks dirty. The armchair is torn and tattered. Overall, interior needs a solid makeover. Location was great. Easy ski out and close to town. Due to interior deficiencies we are sorry but we will not stay there again. Thank you. Allen and Nancita.

Aurora, COWhat a deal! Location, location, location!
Left on 02/25/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We loved the location and niceness of the property. Our only complaint was the floor heating and not being able to turn down the heat below 77 degrees. Even withe one window the unit had open, it was hot!

Warrington, PAGreat getaway vacation, Good location, kitchenette small.
Left on 02/23/2011 for a stay in February 2010
I really liked this location, maid service during the stay of 3 nights was not offered, I was told I could get new towels at the place downtown where I checked in which was a car ride away, and not convienient. Pots and pans in the small kitchenette we poor at best, I thought the handle was going to fall off the frying pan while I was cooking breakfast. Indoor heated parking was a bonus, with heated driveway, on an icy visit. Location to town and snowflake lift were prime. Over all a good stay accommodation was nice, but not fancy.

Houston, TXNo frills, but functional and convenient!
Left on 02/17/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Booking online, check-in, and expectations based on research was satisfactory. The unit was clean and well maintained, but it was very difficult to maintain a comfortable room temperature (too hot). The layout of the room was somewhat inconvenient and cramped. The master bed was comfortable but the pull out couch was terribly uncomfortable.
That being said, we were there for the skiing and the ski-in/out was very convenient and the location was close to town and other events. -

texasgreat place, lousy front desk staff
Left on 03/31/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The condo i rented was great, it actually was better than i expected it to be. comfortable, spacious and well appointed for a studio unit, the only issue is there were no large pots in the kitchen, only skillets, i thought that was kind of weird, but not enough to ruin a vacation or anything. this place is literally 20 feet from the snowflake chair lift, talk about convenient! also, they have a great shuttle service with timely, courteous drivers which was awesome!
my problem came with the check out process. i made a special trip down to the office on main street on saturday to talk to them about late check out on sunday. The attendent said that would be fine and then was advising me about how to return my keys before i left. she told me to ask the colorado mountain express shuttle driver to drop me by there on the way out, but that if he wouldnt do that, i could just give him the keys and he would return them for me on his next run by there. Sounded pretty straight foward to me, so i wasnt worried.
Sunday after a half day on the slopes with 20 minutes before i am supposed to leave on the CME shuttle, i get a phone call from a different woman who is working the front desk. In the rudest tone imaginable she accuses me of not turning in my keys before i leave and wants me to know that they will be charing my credit card if i dont get them down there NOW. I explain to her what the other girl told me the day before, and she is practically yelling at me about how if i want to trust a CME driver to turn in my key that is my business but i will most likely be charged for the keys. Needless to say this was a way stressful ending to an otherwise great vacation. i hiked down the mountain to give the keys to her, almost missed my shuttle, just to hear her tell the guys checking in infront of my that they could leave their keys with their CME driver when they left the mountain. Her discourteous and impolite behaviour ahs ensured i will not be renting with them again. -

We had a wonderful stay at Riverbend. It is convienently located right next to the Snowflake lift giving the lodge prime ski in/ski out access. There is nothing like rolling out of bed and onto the lift. Our room was well stocked with working appliances like a microwave, range top, refrigerator, and toaster oven. Never underestimate the convienece of a toaster oven! The gas fireplace was a very nice feature. It gave the room a little extra added warmth, which was nice after skiing in record low temperatures for December. I would recommend having a car handy, because the town is a good 7 to 8 blocks away and down hill. I can't imagin walking back uphill at night is too fun. Although the lodge is located right next to a free shuttle stop. If you don't mind waiting for 10 - 15 min. The shuttle is a nice alternative form of transportaion. Our room was located right next to the steam room and spa. They were both maintained very well and were a welcome comfort to sore muscles. Overall we loved the lodge and would stay ther again!

Ski out, yes, no problem. Ski in, well, you have to take a very long green run with very long flats that require push polling. I hated this run so much that most of the time we took the gondola down then called our shuttle, so the extra price for slopeside could have been better spent. The shuttle service was great and fast and offsets this somewhat.

Dallas, TXGood value, good parking -long walk
Left on 10/01/2008 for a stay in April 2007
This was an ideal location for our group because it accommodated several families travelling together (13 adults and 12 children). We booked three units of varying sizes and used the largest 3 bedroom unit, which included a full kitchen, as the central gathering place. The facility was easy to find, a short drive to restaurants and shopping, and had a large indoor parking garage. Individual units were clean and modestly decorated. Kitchens were stocked with the basic dishes, cookware, etc. to allow for preparation of some simple eat-in meals - a real plus when trying to feed so many people. Although the facility had a small community room, there were no other notable amenities. It is great for people whose primary objective is to get on the slopes quickly and ski. The only major drawback was that it was advertised as "ski-in; ski-out". Although it is a short walk out the back door and down the street to board the lift, the return trip is not so easy. The closest trail drops you about 2 blocks from the condos. At the end of the day, it's a pretty tiring uphill hike wearing your boots and carrying your skis over your shoulder. It makes mid-day stops at the condo undesirable...once a day is enough. All in all, the families who vacationed with us agreed that the price was a good value and we'd consider staying there again.
