Description from the owner
This metal sided lodge with a metal roof was once offices for a construction company. The owners happened to be our landlords when we rented their cottage across the field. We fell in love with the 2000 acre park behind us and wanted to create our own space.
Since we renovate homes for a living, we were able to collect a lot of items along the way that didn't fit someone else's vision for their new space. There was also the mismeasured door or cabinet or window that needed a new home. I booked this place for a surprise getaway for my girlfriend, and was really pleased with it. It is very big - the photos don't really do it justice - and the facilities are really high quality. The barbeque was very big, and had a full range of accessories, the hottub was large and functioned well, and the wifi worked perfectly. There's always a risk that when you go somewhere for the first time, that the quality won't be that great. But we got everything that was promised, and more.

This was my first time renting and didn't quite know what to expect. Right from the initial inquiry, the owner was very helpful. The house is very nice, exactly as shown on the website. I was impressed to see all the different areas of the house. The outdoor grill was perfect for grilling up some food. The open kitchen/living area was a great space to hang out. The jacuzzi was very clean and very big. Overall it was a great house. I couldn't have asked for a better first time experience.

This house was perfect for my family. I needed a house that was suitable not only for my 87 year old mother who walks with a cane but would be a good house for entertaining lots of friends and family that were in town for my son's wedding. The kitchen set up worked perfectly for the rehersal dinner and there was plenty of seating space for all the company. It was especially nice to have room for folks to spread out . With the seating areas on the back porch couch, back porch table, front patio, living room and dining table no one felt crowded. The house is very cute and we received lots of compliments on it. We'd stay there again.

We rented this house for a weekend getaway trip for my boyfriend's birthday. The pictures of the house online were a little outdated. The pictures looked like the place that was actually there but just a little more worn down when we got there. Plus needed a little landscaping work, etc but this might just be since we were early in the season. However, we didn't mind one bit since it was still nice for what we wanted. We enjoyed the hot tub tons and it was nice to be in it at night time. The location is great if you have interests in hiking or wineries. We did both and had a lot of fun in that area. I would recommend the place to others for sure.
