The owners of Sea View Cottage really made us feel very welcome with a free coffee when we arrived a little early. The house was beautiful and clean and very nicely decorated with all mod cons. Furniture and beds very comfortable. It is obviously a very popular place as some of the other holiday makers we met there had been before.
Ideally placed not far from Bridlington, Sewerby Park and Bempton Cliffs (where we saw the Puffins). The village itself is very quiet and there is a fishing pond just up the road from the cottage.
At the bottom of the village there is a large caravan park which has a shop and a club, but far enough away so the peace of Sea View Cottage was not disturbed.
We enjoyed our holiday not having visited the east coast for many years. It was really sad to see how erosion has effected the coastline around there.
Fantastic cottage , the best we have stayed in , great friendly

We stayed in Sea view cottage in august 2012 and could not have stayed in a better cottage. It was virtually brand new and the owners had obviously spent a lot of time and money on the cottage. Everything appeared to be brand new . This is not a chintzy old world property , this is brand new , modern and up to date , we loved it. The owners are very friendly and welcoming but also leave to yourself to get on with your holiday. The location is great for sightseeing the north Yorkshire coast with main carriageways only a few miles away. The beach at Barmston is quite pebbly but there is a really nice sandy beach only a 5 minute drive away. The only down side is that Barmston is missing a nice country pub but the courtyard outside the cottage served really well as a meeting place on nice warm nights. We will definately stay at this cottage again
The cottage was well stocked with everything you could want. The furnishings were fab, leather sofas, large screen TV and a large range cooker. It was spotlessly clean.
The owners greeted us with a warm welcome and made us feel like part of the family not just guests.
The only down side (nothing to do with accomadation) was there wasn't many places to eat nearby. Small Italians up the road, good food, very basic building. Pub was bog standard frozen food. There are plenty of places if you don't mind driving into Bridlington or other villages.
