What a wonderful place to spend a family holiday, loved this property.
Everything we wanted, beach, open plan house, all the modern appliances, great location and so easy to book.
A big thank you to Liz and Dianne for making us feel so welcome.
From the moment you arrive and open thefront door the view is amazing, cannot beat it.
The sound of the ocean when you wake up the gentle breeze flowing through the house, everyone throughly enjoyed this Xmas. -

We have just returned from our third holiday at the magnificent Tam O'Shanter Views where we spent an awesome 5 days with our friends. It is a truly magic spot for a relaxing holiday, where we sat in the sun on the back deck, discovered the clifftop walks, swam in the clear blue waters of nearby Lulworth beach, fished off the rocks and clambered among the rock pools. We had a great day trip to the Mt William National Park and the beautiful Bay of Fires beaches, and also spent a lovely lunch at the Leaning Church Vineyard, with wine tasting at Janz and Pipers Brook vineyards on the way home. On our last night, we took our chairs and champagne down on the rocks and watched the sun go down. What a way to end the best 5 days with friends!

Our holiday experience at the Tam O' Shanter Views on the beautiful and rugged north coast of Tasmania was everything we could have every wished for. It is a privilege to be able to highly recommend this unique and very comfortable modern beach house to all discerning travelers and guests who seek out and enjoy peace, quiet, rest, and endless seaside scenery . Such a unique and most memorable experience can be shared without even leaving the warmth and the most carefully planned comforts of this magnificent holiday beach house constructed with great care to take full advantage of a carefully chosen hillside position that overlooks the beautiful ocean waters. Our every need had been catered for in a four day holiday that we will always remember. This special fully furnished holiday beach house has every need catered for from fine dining to a barbecue on the large outdoor deck. The reality of this place is that it is all that you could every wish for or ever want in a home away from home and it is just waiting to be discovered and experienced. Tam O' Shanter Views certainly has the unique secret wow factor that ensures that every guest from the young to the not so young feel happy and special and satisfied and want to return for another visit. T O S really is that kind of place ... totally memorable.

We stayed at Tam O'Shanter Views in early December 2010.
What a magnificent, remote location and a house offering impeccable attention to detail and cleanliness with huge amounts of space.
Very stylish and beautifully furnished - you wished you could stay there forever.
Nearest town is around 37km so you need to be prepared to bring supplies and cook at the house.
However, the kitchen is superb and every implement, cooking device and dish is available.
Liz, our host, kept in friendly contact leading up to our stay but, when at the house we were left to enjoy it without any disturbance from anyone (except the odd potaroo/wallaby!).
Some days we just read books and took walks on the beach. Some days we journeyed to Bridport or Georgetown for coffee.
There are some gorgeous wineries about and Launceston is less than an hour away.
Our only complaint was the constant creaking roof which occurred due to the heating up (and then down again) during the day. Next time we would come in winter time.
Thank you Liz for creating such a relaxing and stunning space for a complete, rejuvenating break from city life.

We had a great weekend with friends, enjoying the house and visiting the wineries in the area. Barnbougle Dunes was great for the boys to play golf while the girls enjoyed a beautiful lunch. Very well organized, from booking to the arrival and being met at the house with a warm welcome. We received maps and directions and great brochures with ideas of what to see and do. The house is extremely comfortable, everything is supplied and the kitchen has all that you might need. The large open plan main room has wonderful views out to sea and we particularly enjoyed a glass of wine on the back deck. This coastal location is great for walks along the beach and is only 1 hour from Launceston. Would highly recommend it for groups or families.

Liz & Rob are fantastic hosts who have a real passion for Tassie & who go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. Tam O'Shanter is a First class home with great views of the Bass Strait coastline and plenty of nature walks to suit everyone.The house is very comfortable with 4 large double bedrooms and huge Lounge dining & kitchen area that invites you spend time just dining and "kicking back" with a good book and a glass of wine.The rear deck is great place to lounge back & take in the view whilst enjoying a BBQ.Fishing off the rocks or beach & Golf at the nearby golf course are within easy walking distance.We really enjoyed our stay this February and will come again, one small tip you need to shop for supplies before you get too far down the coast, we recommend Georgetown for this.
