Delph Cottage has 2 ground floor bedrooms, kitchen and dining room, making it ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs. There is a cosy wood burning stove for chilly evenings and can be rented together with the 2 other cottages to sleep up to 27 people. Delph Farm Cottages are 3 well appointed cottages located on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire within a 5 minute drive of Burnley with its superb Victorian archietecture, Burnley also has the most parkland in the country for a town of its size. Located just 5 minutes from the M65, West Yorkshire, Peak District, the Lake District and, of course, Lancashire are all easily accessible... to explore. There are lots of areas for the walker to explore from the cottages taking in the countryside, for the rider hacks out can be arranged using the owners riding school or lessons for a total beginner. If you wish to bring your own horse a stable can be arranged for you. Within a short drive there are a number of golf courses, clay pigeon shooting and reservoirs for the anglers and the keen shopper will enjoy the famous Boundary Mill Store just 5 minutes away and the Trafford and Arndale Centre at Manchester.The cottages are all extremely well equipped and are ideal for a family gathering or a group of friends wishing to holiday together, High Gate Cottage sleeps 12 and is next door to Threshings Cottage sleeping up to 6 people, Delph Cottage also sleeps 8. Pendle Hill, home to the famous witches, nestles in the background and the cottages all enjoy open rural views of the surrounding countryside. The cottage has 2 downstairs bedrooms, bathroom and seating area, making this an ideal choice for those who have difficulty with stairs. The cottage has exposed stone walls, a cosy wood burning stove and oil fired central heating making it warm and cosy in colder months and comprises:

* Two ground floor twin bedrooms.

* Shower room with double shower, hand basin and WC.

* Dining/kitchen with electric range cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave, in the dining area there is a large sofa and TV.

* First floor: Large lounge with TV, CD player and Hi-Fi, wood burning stove double sofa bed and views over the countryside to Pendle Hill.

* Master double bedroom with King size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower over a corner bath, hand basin and WC.

* All oil, electric, bed linen and towels provided.

* Cot and highchair available.

  we went for a week in the august. We hired 2 of the cottages for our family. the smaller of the 2 cottages was lovely and had all amenities that you would need. The larger of the cottages (Delph) was lovely furnished but there were a few problems washing machine didnt work and we had a leak from upstarirs. Im sure these are not the norm but did put a dampner on the holiday for us. The Owners of the cottages were lovely and helpful throughout. The children even enjoyed a horse riding lesson, which they thoroughly enjoyed and was great value for money. The cottages were in a lovely picturesque area. overall i would recommend these cottages
