Small cottage in residential area. Short walk to the Winchuck River and the Oregon Coast. 1 bedroom, 3/4 bath and full kitchen. Small private yard. (Currently being re-landscaped) Queen bed and Queen sofa sleeper can accomodate up to 4 adults or children. Washer and Dryer available in the cottage. Cable TV, DVD player, electric fireplace. Nice relaxing place to get away from it all.

My husband and I were looking for someplace to stay other than a hotel. I found this website and started looking for a place to stay. I am so happy that I found this cottage to stay in. The accommodations are awesome. Lana, who is the owner was on site making sure that we had what we needed. The cottage had everything thing we wanted. I also loved the private back yard that we had all to ourselves.
The yard is aboslutely beautiful. We could tell that Lana is an avid gardner. She is an excellent resource to let you know all the activities that are available not only in Brookings but for all the surrounding areas. Lana respects your privacy. The time we spent was so enjoyable that we are making plans to go again in either July or august. We will definitely be going back to the cottage.
I was amazed by the beauty of the area! The weather was perfect! It rained a little but it didn't stop us one bit from enjoying all the things we were doing. The cottage is located in a quiet little area of Brookings which we loved too.
The private beach access was absolutely fabulous! We spent a lot of time just relaxing and getting rejuvinated.
The pricing is an awesome value for all the accommodations we had. We're so glad that we explored alternatives to basic hotel/motel!

I rented this cottage for my birthday because I always wanted to see the Oregon Coast and I was so happy that I did. I love where the cottage is located because it was central to the ocean and the redwoods and many other scenic places.The owner, Lana, was a wonderful host; she was very knowledgeble on the area and gave me great tips on where to go. The cottage was so comfortable that I thought I was at home. I will definitely go back.

I rented the cottage to get away and to see the Oregon Coast. I have traveled to many different places and I have to say that this cottage is one of my favorite. It offered more than I expected (washer and dryer). It was close to everything - from the ocean to the Redwoods, to shops, to scenic trails. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable and landscaped beautifully. The owner, Lana, was so very knowledgeable about the area and would make a wonderful tour guide. I will definitely go back to this "little place in paradise!" I will recommend this cottage to all my family and friends as I know they will have the same experience that I did.

It was cute, comfortable and we will be back! It was literally across the street from the beach with a private access to the beach. We saw one other couple the whole time we walked along the beach. Great sights nearby including a quiet Redwood forest. Beautiful views, the yard was gorgeous and owner was more than hospitable. She was accommodating in every way imaginable.
I have recommended to all my friends and family if they are ever up that way! -

the lodging and amenities were great! having a washer and dryer and a kitchen was not only nice but allowed my family more time to enjoy the beach/ocean surrounding attractions/sights etc. the owner {Lana} was very knowledgeable about the area and activities. every place she recommended my family loved and enjoyed. i do have to add the {jet boat ride}that Lana recommended was probably the #1 most memorable part of this vacation, closely followed by the red woods... "wow" they are amazing and a must see. not only did we enjoy our own beach access we also were able to do some exploring on the beach for sea life,swimming in the ocean and daily and nightly walks on the beach.
the Cottage is very inviting and Lana has done a wonderful job making this cottage feel like home away from home.the area and neighborhood were very quite and inviting.the dead end street was an added plus for my kids i felt very safe allowing my {6}year old and (13} year old kids to play outside by them selves.the area offers alot of different retail stores and gift shops.the people in this area brookings and all the other towns we visited were so nice and welcoming .i know alot of people say that is just because they depend on the tourism dollars well in my opinion i did not get that feeling from the people here in brookings and surrounding towns. i would recommend Lana's Seaside retreat to anyone looking for great vacation on the west coast aaa+++ -

Stayed at this rental in October 2012. Nice, clean, quiet, and centrally located for all your coastal travels. Just of Hywy 101. The service was excellent. Nicely furnished; shower, washer, dryer,kitchen,TV. I would definitely recommend this retreat.
