The apartment Is very well located and had all the necessities that we needed. The owner was helpful and accessible.
As three auatralians it was interesting to be located in a lovely community setting but with easy access to all the sights of NY city. -

Would fully endorse previous review and would recommend to anyone wishing stay in a quieter location but close enough for a quick commute to the sights. Accommodation was great for three able bodied adults but be aware of the many steps from the road to the apartment and then again inside. The nearest store was a 10 minute walk away with plenty of choice so food shopping was easy. There are many bars and restaurants within a short walking distance if desired and the subway at Grand army Plaza was only 5 minutes away.

We loved our trip to NY, and staying in Brooklyn was a brilliant decision. The apartment was comfortable, well furnished and everything worked! Marie Line and her family are very friendly, answered all our questions and helpful when asked, without intruding on our holiday. Accommodation was a little cramped for 4 adults, as it meant we had to use the sofa bed, but this seems normal in NY. Three would be better, but it would sleep 5, as the sofa bed is a double.
Park Slope is an extremely friendly and hospitable area, and worthy of spending more time exploring than we were able to.
Getting the hang of the subway is easy, and you can easily walk from SoHo/Greenwich Village to Park Slope via Brooklyn Bridge, we did and would recommend it.
Only one suggestion to improve the experience. Having queued for over 2 hours to get through immigration, we got to the apartment at 21.00 NY time, which was 4 (or 5?) in the morning for us.
A welcome pack of some basics would've made all the difference, not excessive, but some milk, bread, fresh fruit and cheese/cold meat or preserves and chocolate would've made a profound impression that would far outweigh the cost.
We went to bed hungry. We could've ordered a pizza delivery I guess, but it was too much effort, and too long to wait when you've been up nearly 24 hours.
