We are very happy of our stay in New York City. The rental was exactly as described on the website. Everything you need when you arrive in a rental was there (even the salt and the sugar !).
It was easy to find the building since we received all the information before leaving France.The area is quiet.
Having a bit more glasses plates, knives and spoons and dark curtains would be better.
We think that this duplex is more appropriate for a family than for 2 couples.
Excellent price in a town like New-York City !

We spent a week at Irina's duplex and have to say that we had a wonderful time there. The flat is comfortable, spacy and affordable. Cherry on the cake: Irina is a lovely and trustable host. Do not hesitate to ask her for an advice about your trip.
It may be a little too far from Manhattan for a short stay. But if your trip is a week long or more, do not hesitate: you will enjoy to stay in this quiet place.
European travelers may not have to fear about the neighbourhood: it is safe and there's plenty of cops in the streets every night. They're for your safety and they're courtuous (we're not in Europe...).
Last word: you must have a drink of the roof terrace... It could stay as your your most incredible picture of NY.
Nous avons passé une semaine chez Irina et ce fut un très agréable moment. Le duplex est confortable, spacieux et abordable. Cerise sur le gâteau : Irina est une hôtesse des plus accueillantes et dignes de confiance. N'hésitez pas à la solliciter pour des actuces pour votre séjour.
L'appartement est peut-être un peu loin de Manhattan pour un court séjour. N'hésitez pas en revanche si vous restez une semaine ou plus : vous apprécierez de passer vos nuits dans un endroit calme.
Les voyageurs européens pourraient être surpris mais ne doivent pas craindre les autres habitants du quartier : contrairement aux apparences, il est sécu... Chaque soir, vous croiserez de nombreux policiers dans les rues. Ils sont là pour votre sécurité (et en plus, ils sont courtois, nous ne sommes pas en Europe...).
Dernier détail : vous Devez boire un verre sur le toit-terrasse... Ce sera sans doute l'image de NY qui restera gravé au plus profond de votre mémoire.

What a great time we had there. Comfortable, calm, affordable, and convenient. Much better than the hotel, you'll find a real home to live in while you stay in the big apple.
The only inconvenience is the location, a little too far from manhattan. Not an issue for a long vacation,such as 14 days like us, but too far for a short stay.

Taking the subway every mornings, going back 'home' at night, doing some chopping at the supermarket near by, going to the green market on Saturday and more. It was astonishing! 2 weeks, we won't forget.
The location is pretty quiet and having a good night's sleep is easy. You got nearly everything to make a diner and a breakfast. -

My recent stay here this past Novenber was great. The place looks just like the pictures online. The apartment buliding is the most modern of all on the whole block. The amenities of the place were up to date. The bed was commfortable, place was cleaned and had cleaning supplies there if needed. Lots of space to move around and place things. Downside to place is that the staircase to the bedroom is steep, but we were able to deal with and TV was a small box about 13inches, but whose in NY to watch TV anyway. Utenils and dishes were provided along with plenty of towels and blankets for our 4 day trip.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in New York und Brooklyn. Im Prinzip sind wir wirklich nur durch Zufall nicht in Manhatten gelandet und würden das nun jederzeit wieder so machen. Vermutlich hätten wir diesen tollen Stadtteil sonst gar nicht kennengelernt und somit wirklich etwas verpasst. Wir haben uns keine Sekunde lang wie Touristen gefühlt sondern einfach mittendrin und waren trotzdem in kurzer Zeit mit der U-Bahn im Zentrum von Manhatten. Das appartement liegt zwar nicht zentral aber die tolle ausstattung, der geniale Blick nach Manhatten und die letztendlich super anbindung machen das auf jeden Fall wett. Irina ist sehr hilfsbereit und war jederzeit für uns zu erreichen. Es war im Prinzip alles unkompliziert und das obwohl wir bei der anreise einmal komplett vom airport Newark, durch Manhatten nach Brooklyn mussten, hat alles super geklappt und sie hat geduldig ein paar Stunden auf uns gewartet. Wir wohnten während unseres aufenthaltes in zwei appartments. Beide waren picobello und perfekt ausgestattet. Wir haben allerdings nicht gekocht, sondern waren immer fein in der Bedford Street frühstücken und in allen möglichen tollen Restaurants essen. Mit Kindern wäre es uns vermutlich zu anstrengend gewesen, also dafür eher bedingt geeignet und man sollte gut zu Fuß sein, wenn man nicht auf Taxis (die Taxifahrer aus Manhatten fahren eher ungern nach Brooklyn und man muss auf jeden Fall eine Wegbeschreibung dabei haben)angwiesen sein möchte. Die Gegend kam uns sehr sicher vor.

Agréablement surpris par le logement : très propre, fonctionnel, mobilier neuf... nous le conseillons. En revanche, pour le quartier nous avons été un peu déçus, même si nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis en insécurité !

Appartement impeccable tout est neuf, cuisine totalement équipée, propreté parfaite, rien à redire. Accueil très sympathique d'Irina : très bon contact sur place et avant l'arrivée. Immeuble au calme et à l'écart de la circulation. Quartier tranquille même si de prime abord il peut paraître peu rassurant. Nous n'avons jamais eu aucun problème même en rentrant de nuit. Magasins et restaurants de quartier à proximité.
Concernant la situation de l'appartement : on l'a trouvé un peu éloigné du métro (il faut compter environ 1/4 heure de marche) et au final un peu loin de Manhattan (environ 1h pour ralier le centre de Manhattan en comptant la marche, l'attente et le transport). Mais cet appartement reste d'un très bon rapport qualité/prix, idéal pour ceux qui veulent visiter la grosse pomme sans se ruiner.
Merci à Irina pour son accueil chaleureux, nous garderons un formidable souvenir de notre séjour.

We hebben erg genoten van het appartement en willen in de toekomst er zeker nogmaal gebruik van gaan maken. Want als de één keer in New York bent geweest, dan wil je weer terug. Op onze eerst dag, na een lange vliegreis en een verlate aankomst, werden we hartelijk ontvangen door Irina, de verhuurster/eigenaresse van het appartement. Irina is een zeer attente en behulpzame vrouw, die zich als doel heeft gesteld om het de verhuurders ook echt naar de zin te maken. Het appartement staat in een donkere, maar nette buurt van Brooklyn. Mijn kinderen moesten hier even aan wennen, maar al snel voelden wij ons hier thuis.'s Morgens vroeg zie je de mama's hun kinderen naar school brengen. Ook werden we dagelijks verrast door een eekhoortje, die de voortuin als vaste route gebruikt, op zoek naar voedsel (echt schattig). Het appartement is zeer modern en van alle luxe voorzien. Echt een genot om in te verblijven, na een dag/avond op pad te zijn geweest in New York. We hebben veel met de metro gereisd, die op goede afstand te bereiken was, maar hadden daarnaast ook een huurauto. Met de huurauto hebben we midden in Manhattan (het hart van New York)gereden, wat echt eng was, maar wel een avontuur op zich. We hebben een onvergetelijke week achter de rug en veel indrukken opgedaan, dat is met geen pen te beschrijven. We willen hierbij nogmaal Irina (dank je wel Irina) bedanken voor de ontvangst en de tips en wegwijs die ze heeft gegeven. We zien elkaar zeker terug;-)

Nous vous recommandons cette location au coeur de Brooklyn sans aucune hésitation ! Les lofts spacieux sont très bien équipés, les lits sont confortables, la salle de bain est très tendance et la vue du toit sur Manhattan est impressionnante !
L'immeuble est très agréable et calme, disposant d'une buanderie avec sèche-linges et lave-linges dans une pièce au sous-sol.
Plusieurs commerces de proximité se trouvent à deux pas de la location.
La ligne G du métro se trouve à 5 minutes et vous vous retrouvez rapidement à Manhattan.
Le quartier est calme mais sachez tout de même que la propriétaire des lieux recommande à ses locataires de rentrer en taxi dès la nuit tombée... ce que nous avons fait !
La propriétaire des lieux est vraiment très sympathique, très à l'écoute de ses locataires et toujours disponible. Elle est également très arrangeante sur les facilités de paiement de la location.
Nous avons donc vraiment apprécié notre séjour de 12 jours à New York et nous sommes sentis comme à la maison ! Merci beaucoup aux propriétaires, nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

We really apprecited our stay in this very comfortable flat. Very well equiped, good facilities, kindnesss of the helpful owner, Irina . Late arrival in the airport, easy to reach with a cab, Irina waited for us for the check-in.

Our stay in Brooklyn was well worth the money. It was around half the price to stay outside of Manhattan which really suited our budget. The accommodation was lovely, although could do with a clean up and paint job. With that said we were extremely comfortable and had access to a small kitchen which was great for early morning starts and a quick breakfast. Our only concern was the location. Sometimes in the evening it was a little uncomfortable walking back to the apartment as we were relatively unfamiliar with the area that we were staying. The subway line is around a five minute walk so on balance it was not a major concern, however perhaps a little more detail on the neighborhood would have been more reassuring. We also felt that the security deposit was a little excessive at $500. We did get this back at the end of our stay although it was slightly irritating having excess money on our last day. All said, we have a good stay.

We have been in the apt. 4B with two children (10/12) for 12 nights!.
The location in Brooklyn is perfect. The "free" view from the roof-terrace (with two chairs) is spectacular (days and nights). And 3 different metro stations are just some minutes away by foot.
The furnishing is modern and really new! The infrastracutre in the kitchen is excellent, but: The table was too small for 4 persons :-)
We definitely would com again and we highly recommend the apt.
Allen and Irina were very helpful before and during our stay (e.g. receiving of a parcel and print-out of online-tickets).

The apartment was perfect, clean ,new and comfy exactly as described in the website.
Irina was super efficient to help us with taxis, Internet and even let us use her old computer.
With a metro & bus pass we could be in Manhattan in half an hour everyday. We discovered on the last day that Brooklyn has a very nice museum and wonderful gardens.

We loved staying here, the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Irina was also very friendly and nice.
The apartment is in Brooklyn but you can get to the metro station on foot in ten minutes and you will be in the heart of Manhatten in 40 minutes.

What can I say? Irina was amazing. She was waiting for us when we arrived and was available immediately for every question we had through out the week. The suite is literally brand new, and was as clean as a button when we arrived (didn't stay that way for long with 2 teenaged boys, though).
My boys are 15, and were thrilled to experience the Real New York, as New Yorkers do. The neighbourhood was a true New York experience. And, it grew on me as I discovered the people who lived there to be kind and helpful.
Just go down Throop to Flushing Station, and take the M train to Downtown in minutes! Literally minutes! We all purchased a weekly subway pass for $30 for unlimited rides - and, second to Irina's suite, it was the best deal we found in New York. In fact, we even took the J train back to JFK.
We had a great time - in fact, my boys are already begging to go back and stay there! -

Nous avons été accueillies par Irina qui nous avait fait des courses pour le petit déjeuner et nous a tout expliqué sur l'appartement. Elle nous a donné toutes les informations nécessaires pour faciliter notre séjour et a toujours été disponible et serviable en cas de besoin.
Très appréciable: elle met à la disposition des locataires un téléphone portable local.
Le métro pour Manhattan est à 10mn à pied, l'arrêt de bus à 5mn.
L'appartement est situé dans un quartier populaire de Brooklyn dans lequel nous n'avons jamais senti d'insécurité. Nous avons par ailleurs apprécié être au calme après des journées trépidantes à Manhattan. -

the duplex condo was one of the best things of my NY trip. Irina was very kind and helpful. Her kindness and friendliness made us feel at home instatnly.Location of condo was very convenient to visit Manhattan and Brooklyn. We stayed at the loft condo for 3 days in October and it was great. Exactly as advertized, very clean and comfortable. We felt safe at all times walking to and from the subway (5-min). You can get a great look at how regular New Yorkers live, with kids playing in the street, and people coming and going. Brooklyn has some great areas to see, we went up and down the G line to some awesome restaurants and shopping. Irina was great, she was waiting for us on arrival and was easy to contact for any questions we had. You can be in Mannhatten in about 20 min take the G line up to the L and there you are.

My girlfriends and I spent 3 nights here while researching for my upcoming wedding. The location was great. It was about a ten to fifteen minute taxi ride to Manhattan. We also utilized the highly recommended car service they had suggested, which was very affordable.
There were four of us that stayed in the condo- the two that slept on the fold out couch on the lower level could not stop talking about how comfortable it was, and what a great night's sleep they had!
The condo was brand new, the bathroom was great- up to three of us would use the huge mirror to get ready at the same time...
Check in was a breeze, as was check out.
We had all of the utensils we needed to have our coffee in the am, as well as cook dinner at night.
The view from the rooftop was spectacular, especially at night! We felt safe in the neighborhood. Everyone was very friendly.
We will definitely be utilizing this property here for friends to stay during the wedding weekend!! -

We stayed in this apartment for 6 nights during September 2010.
Irina was there to greet us at the apartment after she organised our airport transfers for us. We were given lots of information about the area and the transport options.
The location is great, you get a real authentic view of New York in the suburbs while being a short ride from the busy Manhattan. I never felt unsafe in the area and the locals seemed to be pretty friendly.
The unit was exactly what we needed, air conditioning and good cooking facilities. Everything is basically brand new and the view from the balcony is great.
I would recommend this place to anyone and would be happy to provide an independent answer to any questions people may have. You will not be dissappointed here.

We had such a lovely time in NY and we really thanks Irina for what she has done to make it happens! From the tips to go there to the warm welcoming and everything things she gave us to make it easier (phone, breakfast supplies, extra matress, maps and so on...). The location is very convienent with all facilities close and only 5 min walking from the subway. The duplex is very cosy, confortable and even more furnished than in the description. We especialy enjoy the quality of the bedding as we couldn't expect more for a nice rest after those busy nights and days in NY ! The icing on the cake is the amazing vue from the roof : Mahantan for us! Before recomanding to everyone to stay at Irina's we will also add that we had a really good neighborly relation. Everybody is really friendly, warm full and we really feel at home from the begining and till the last time. We met only good intentions.

A great flat although slightly lacking in storage space for a family of four. Also the air conditioner which in august and in a top floor flat is vital, was uncomfortably noisy. The reservation and the checking in formalities were extremely efficient and the us cell phone,the coffee, the fruit juice on arrival were much appreciated.

Nous avons passé 5 jours super dans cet appartement tout neuf. La propriétaire, Irina, est charmante.
L'appartement est situé à Brooklyn. Nous mettions environ 45 minutes pour rejoindre Manhattan en métro. Le quartier nous faisait un peu peur au début mais une fois oubliées nos phobies d'européens, nous avons vraiment adoré. Les gens y sont vraiment très sympathiques. Regroupés devant l'un des immeubles de la rue pour discuter, ils ne manquaient pas de nous saluer matin et soir. L'appartement est proche de Williamsburg où il y a de très bons cafés concert et toujours des soirées improbables, loin des repères à touristes.
L'appartement en lui même est tout neuf donc très propre. Il manque pour l'instant quelques équipements (micro-onde, télé, grille-pain). -

We stayed for the 4th of July Weekend, the neighborhood was quit and the roof top view is amazing. The neighbors were very nice as we walk a few blocks to the subway. Allen has allot of good advise for were to eat and New York Building history.
I took 1 star off for comfort as the stairs to the loft are steep, and not for small children. we were also surprised when we found milk juice and coffee had already been stocked for us.
We would recommend to friends and we would stay there again...
