Three travelers from Chicago
Chicago10 Great Days in Brooklyn
Left on 01/01/2011 for a stay in December 2010
A clean, warm apartment in a friendly and truly interesting neighborhood within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants and the subway.
We had great conversations with the other tenants in the laundry room.
The Q and B line took us to Manhattan in about 30 minutes. We often came back after midnight and always felt safe on the streets.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and for those who like to cook we highly recommend the fruit market on Church ave. at which you can get all manner of curious fruits and vegetables. (The sour oranges are particularly recommended as a lemon substitute.) There are good restaurants on Cortelou. And nearby Prospect Park, designed by Olmsted (the guy who designed Central Park) is a natural wonder. The Brooklyn Museum on the opposite side the the park is a must see.

Pittsburgh PAA cool spot in Brooklyn
Left on 08/30/2010 for a stay in July 2010
I liked this appartment. It's spacious for a one-bedroom; very reasonably priced; the living-room/dinning-room is large and comfortable; the kitchen is a bit small, but then again how much do you cook on vacation!?..It's well kept, clean and had interesting art on the walls...Prospect Park and the mentro are close; Flatbush avenue (which is only a block away) was great fun ...
A very nice spot! -

Left on 08/22/2010 for a stay in July 2010
I have already forwarded my review, but I do not know whether it has reached you.
In brief: great stay, we felt like coming home every night, we did our shopping in the local stores, we felt like being part of the neighebourhood. Taking the subway daily, crossing Manhattan Bridge and/or Brookly Bridge was part of our journey.
