      Bon pieds à terre

Left on 01/25/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Ok for a couple of days

Left on 06/05/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We found this apprtment to be much less attractive than on pictures or a first glance... Here is a few positives and negatives:

Positives: the appartment is located within 5 min walk from Grand Place/Grote Markt. It's realsonably spacious appartment for a reaosanble price of ca 150 Euros/night. Receptionist was friendly and eagter to help...

Negatives: the owners did not install good windows and therefore you can hear the noisy street below almost as if you have the windows open... There is some effort to keep the room clean, but it was a bit superficial and in particular we found that the bathroom was cleaned rather poorly... We were so unimpressed wiht how the cleaning of the kitchenette was done that we did not eat in the appartment at all... The reception is only a few minutes away from the appartment but it still feels like a long walk if you have suitcases and small children... Upon arrival we had wait 40 mins cramped into a small office with 3 other families with small children. The receptionist apologized and mentioned that they did not foresee that people arirve at the same time... Well, anticipating issues and preventing them is something that good owners should be able to do...
All in all, it was an OK for couple of days, but we won't return to the appartment (but will return to Brussels !)

      Good location

Left on 02/21/2011 for a stay in February 2011

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for three nights (Thurs-Sun). Positives: it's in a great location, right across from the Marriott Hotel and close to lots of shops, supermarkets, public transportation, etc. Just about everything was within walking distance. The apartment is nicely decorated, spacious and light. There is a small balcony off the living room. In the living room there's a pull out double bed and another single bed, a TV with DVD player, and four or five steps that lead up to the kitchen. The kitchen is small but fine - it has a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, hob, toaster, fridge/freezer and kettle. It also comes with cutlery, pots & pans, dishes, cups, corkscrew... There is a small dining area next to the kitchen overlooking the living room. The bathroom is good-sized with a toilet, big sink with storage above and below, and a shower over bath. Bedroom is also good sized with a small wardrobe.

Negatives: the noise and the bathtub. The soundproofing (if there is any) is terrible. The hallway staircase is right next to the bedroom wall and it's very loud with people going up & down them. All night long there were sirens blaring from the streets. Friday night the dance music from the two bars downstairs went on until past 4am. Saturday night the dance music was so loud the walls were literally vibrating. Luckily Saturday night the music stopped around 1am. The bathtub is surprisingly gross considering how nice the rest of the apartment is. The grouting is brown and dirty and the shower curtain stinks and needs to be replaced. The handle that holds the showerhead and that you use to get into the bath is coming off the wall/very loose and dangerous.

If you have walking difficulties you probably would have problems getting up to the apartment - it's only on the first floor but there is a very steep and uneven, tiled staircase to navigate in order to reach the apartment.

This is a nice, well equipped apartment in a great location. If you're going to stay here just be sure to bring earplugs.

      Brussels weekend

Left on 07/23/2010 for a stay in January 2010

Went to Brussels for the weekend as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday and booked flights and accom last minute - was a bit apprehensive as apartments were very cheap (£70 for 2 nights) and we did not know what to expect. Arrived at office and the staff were very friendly and helpful and aften a 5 minute walk we easily found our apartment. Inside the apartment is beautiful and super clean - would have happily paid double for this standard of cleanliness and modern decor - the apartment also exceeded our expectations in terms of size and space - with every kitchen utensil you could possibly need. The location is perfect to all the sights of Brussels and the Grand Place is only a short stroll away. I would definately recommend Brussels Buzz apartments and il certainly consider Old Town apartments first for future bookings. Many thanks for a wonderful weekend!

      Brussels Buzz - Bruxelles

Left on 01/22/2010 for a stay in May 2009

Very nice location but for no more than 2 people because the only bedroom is in a quite location while the extra bed/sofa is near the noise of traffic in the living room.
Clean and complete of all conforts house in a very central zone of bruxelles. At no more than 100 m there is the Bourse metro stop and many attractions are within walk distances.
The best choice for a budget trip since you can cook your meals by your own. Near the house the are many super markets and discounts.
