The Horace Kephart Cabin occupies perhaps the most scenic location of all the cabins at Rock Creek. With a spectacular view of the Smokies, you'll probably never leave the rockers and the swing on the front porch - unless it's to enjoy the hot tub or the satellite TV
There's plenty of comfortable leather furniture to enjoy television or the glow from the old stove-style gas-log fireplace. We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, everything was clean and confortable. The only thing that was not too confortable was the noise steps from the floor of the room up stair,. But beside that the rest was really good peaceful up there.David provided excellent customer services.

We got into Bryson City a bit early and called to let them know we were up. We got a warm welcome by phone and some further instruction.
The cabin and view were awesome!! We stayed there while we started our honeymoon. It is very close to the train station (the train rides are awesome by the way). The kitchen was well stocked with utensils to prepare the food we brought.
The only thing that did not go swimmingly was the fireplace. It was not cold enough to need it, but it would have been romantic. There were instructions on how to use it, but I must have fowled it up by treating it as if it were the gas log setup I grew up with. The central heat kept us plenty warm though.
We will be returning next year to celebrate our 1st year of marriage! -

Loved it!! The cabin was clean, spotless really. It was cozy and quite scenic. We planned this vacation last minute so we managed our expectations but were pleasantly pleased that last ditch planning could yeild such a comfortable and enjoyable weekend getaway.
