Antrim, Northern IrelandWe just hated to have come home and leave it all behind

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Leonardo. Our hosts (Frankie and Joe)were very knowledgeable regarding the abruzzo area and were able to advise on places to visit. Without a car our location was ideal for walking and cycling (mountain bikes were available for loan). Having a car meant we could visit the mountain villages, beautiful towns, magnificent beaches, the ski resorts, the golf course and lots more. These attractions were all within a 20-40 minute drive from our villa.
Our apartment was beautiful, spacious and bright with a modern cooking area and shower room. Our room had its own private balcony plus there was a large communal terrace with sun loungers and dining table. The panoramic views of the valley and mountains were just fantastic. Although we were only a short walk from the village of Bucchianico the rural location of the villa was perfect for a very relaxing holiday.
Another visit to Villa Leonardo is definitely on the cards -

I had a fabulous week at Villa Leonardo apartments, great accommodation with the views of the valley and mountains which are amazing, my room had it's own balcony but preferred to sit on the shared large sun terrace drinking wine on the Summer evenings with the other guests after having such fun filled days sight seeing. The hosts were fantastic, made me feel so welcome and full of the local knowledge, the room was decorated with great taste and very clean and comfortable.
The beaches were lovely and not too far away and, winter months will be great for those who like skiing.
These holiday apartments are great for the solo traveller and couples.
Great value for money.

Brand new house with excellent views, comfortable room, wonderfull modern bath and kichen.
Almost every day Joe was very attentive and asking if we are comfortable and if everything was good.
Great views from every window espcially from balcony that shows in the picture.
Joe suggested that we have Sunday open for in-town bread and wine festival.
We had great time and I recomend B&B; to everyone! -

5 stars are not enough - Villa Leonardo is a gem.
We stayed in the two-bedroom suite - clean, really comfortable, spectacular views in all directions. Joe and Frankie are gracious and helpful, knowledgeable of the area and free with information. Ideal location for exploring the countryside - be it beach or mountains or vineyards or villages ~
We thought it was the perfect place to return to after days of exploring the countryside. It's a perfect place to hide and soak up some peace and quiet and enjoy truly beautiful scenery while sitting in one place tasting some of the local wines. As we spent our last day - just sitting on the terrace and enjoying the vistas.
Certainly recommending this to my friends. Looking forward to returning after those olives are pressed. Two Thumbs Up! -

We have just returned from a short holiday at Villa Leonardo and have had the most perfect relaxing time. We felt comfortable even before we arrived due the informative emails we received from Frankie/Joe and on arrival we found them both to be friendly and helpful with a fantastic local knowledge which they were happy to share with us.
The apartment is ideally located just 25 minutes from Pescara and was spacious, and furnished to perfection with everything (and more) that you could wish for in a holiday let. The views from the terrace and balconies were stunning and we enjoyed most evenings with a glass of wine looking across the fields and valleys to the mountains.
It was great to be able to park right outside the apartments, and go up just a flight of steps to the apartment which, although there is no air conditioning felt cool and airy due to the breeze coming up the valley, even though the temperatures were over 30°c most days.
Thanks also for the fresh veggies that you left us which were picked out of your garden, delicious. We visited a couple of the local restaurants/agritursimo recommended to us, Ristorante Ferrara was a unique experience with a buffet style food and local wines served in an amazing 'cantina'. We also ate at Fattoria Licia which is an agriturismo and all the food/wine is produced on the farm, the food just kept coming and was all delicious and at a very good price too.
Joe told us that they have plans to put in a plunge pool for next season which would make this the perfect place to return to and we most certainly will.
