Las Casitas Del Mar in Bucerias Mexico Casa Caballo is located on the bottom floor of the main building, this casita has one bedroom with a king size bed. The bedroom has ample space with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, remote controlled television, VCR, and CD player. We can also configure the bedroom into two twin beds. The kitchen is well appointed with a bar area. Features a private terrace with outdoor furniture that faces our gardens.

Located a short 10-mile cab ride north of Puerto Vallarta is the beach village of Bucerias - "place of the divers". The town square, dominated by its large whitewashed church and spire, is the cultural and religious hub of Bucerias. It is also the center of businesses in the town square. The taxi stand and school are nearby, as are any number of small shops, storefront merchants, and street vendors. The ice cream stand is especially popular at nighttime, as are the string of open-air and patio restaurants and bars along the beachfront. Walking along the beach and cobblestone streets in Bucerias is quite safe, day or night; the residents welcome the courteous traveler, and will shyly say "hola" as they pass you on the street.

Every unit in Las Casitas del Mar is a great place and I strongly recommend staying in any of them. There are three two-bedroom bungalows along the pool plus two one-bedroom apartments on the first floor below the main residence. All units are very well kept, comfortable and completely stocked with kitchen items, fresh linens and house cleaning daily, etc. Both types of residences have their own unique features. I spent five weeks in Casa Caballo, a one-bedroom unit tucked under the main house with a private covered patio, which was a perfect spot for an extended stay for my wife and me. The website gives a more thorough description of rental unit options (www.bucerias.com), but the photos don't do justice to actually walking onto the Las Casitas del Mar property.
The hosts, Rick and Robin, are very accommodating, helpful, and conscientious of their guests' needs. The WiFi is very dependable, the shaded gazebo is large and has a wet bar, grills and a refrigerator, and the pool is always clean and inviting. The casitas are immaculate and every inch of the surrounding outdoors is beautiful and meticulously cared for, thanks to the efforts of their dedicated staff, Maria and Jose. Together they ensure guests have everything needed for relaxation and fun in a secure, peaceful and beautiful environment.
If you've already discovered the charm of Bucerias, you know what a treasure it is. Las Casitas del Mar is on its main strip of Lazaro Cardenas, a short block to the beach, and strolling distance to restaurants, shops, town square, and all the other things you hope to find in a small Mexican village.

Extremely well cared for property. Many amenities. Secure and safe.
Robin and Rick wonderful hosts, made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We could not ask for more.
We will be returning many more imes, Feb. 2012 and again Nov-Dec.2012.
Maria and Jose do a great job of keeping the place woking.

We were a little unnerved by the greeting at the front gate of warnings to stay away from the prickly plants. However, we found Las Casitas to be an extremely wonderful and relaxing place to vacation. The room and grounds were kept immaculate, and we really enjoyed the privacy and security of the compound. Robin and Rick made us feel very welcome and we will strongly consider going back next year.
