Very cold, caretaker had not turned heating on,owner did not know

Left on 04/13/2012 for a stay in February 2012

The house was very nice ,once we had got it warm and that took 3 day's,so not the best start to a holiday, with young grandchildren.Buckden is very nice, pity about the buck inn,as we were looking forward to eating there,no food and very run down. What we liked best was the wonderful kitchen ,and the very large table, and the only warm place to sit !.least never go there in the winter, unless the owner has told the caretaker to put the heating on.

Lovely cottage with the Dales on your doorstep

Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Lovely cottage. Very comfortable and clean. A garden would have made it slightly better as we had small children and couldn't use the patio which was at the end of the lane. It is however in a lovely peaceful spot right next to the Dales way and Buckden Pike. Easy driving distance to the Three Peaks, Skipton, Bolton Castle, Leyburn, Hawes.

      A cracking weekend

Left on 05/16/2011 for a stay in March 2011

The ouse was excellent for our needs. Enough bedrooms to sleep us all. Games to keep us entertained, a week functioned kitchen. Wood and fire to keep us warm.
From the village we were able to walk straight out of the house on to an excellent walk along the Dale tops without needing a car.
Only downside - its a shame the pub has closed down - hope it reopens soon.

A lovely cottage in a lovely Yorkshire Dale, Only 2 mins walk from the Buck which serves excellent food. There are several walks in the area for all ranging fronm the challenging to the afternoon stroll. The cottage as plenty of room the we found the second lounge a great escape from the TV.
We been to this cottage twice never been disappointed, booked again for this year.

Large Comfortable House in Beautiful Countryside

Left on 02/18/2010 for a stay in June 2009

We rented this cottage for my husband's 60th birthday - We invited some of our friends. We all had the best of times. We had the birthday meal at the restaurant attached to the village shop - it was brilliant. Plenty of other places to eat in the village, all very good. Did some lovely walks straight from the house and must return some day to do some more.
The cottage was huge - lovely family kitchen where we all ate breakfast together. Lovely bedrooms and 2 living rooms. so plenty of room for all.
Recommend this cottage and hope to return, maybe for MY 60th!!
