Wow, my wife and I got to experience how the Hungarians live in the great city of Budapest. Very clean flat and comfortable bed. Safe building and location so convenient. Would highly recommend staying there and would do so again.

A central location ideal for a young person or couple
Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
In an ideal location close to the inner city (Pest), the university, museums and stores, the apartment faces an inner courtyard (not the Danube and Buda) and is quiet. It is well equipped, though the kitchen and bathroom need some updating. The bed in the loft requires some agility and is not recommended for seniors or very tall people. Kati is a pleasant host who is eager to accommodate and help; I was lucky in being able to chat with her in Hungarian. On the whole, this is a very convenient studio apartment for a young person or couple, close to shopping and public transport, and beautiful walks along the Danube.

Owner
Dear Peter,
Thank you for the kind words, it is always good to read nice reviews. Re the bed, you know as well having gone through this, that we always ask everyone whether they wish to sleep upstairs or downstairs. We have the downstairs pull-out sofa for those who don't want to climb up the mezzanine. Still, most people love the idea of being upstairs...there is some fun in it. We will keep asking everyone and will hope that people will make the right choice.
We were glad of your visit and would be happy to welcome you again at any time.
Kind Regards,
Piros and Kati -

As to not rewrite what the others have stated, I can agree with all of the positive comments.
Being a single traveler, this apartment was perfect, it was clean, well stocked and in a perfect location. The owners were exceptionally helpful, not only with the meetup process but also in assisting me in getting a train to another city. As a single traveler, I would most certainly stay here again and it would easily accommodate two single travelers but may be tight for a couple but certainly doable. By the way, of my trips to Budapest, Brno, Vienna, Prague and Berlin, Budapest is the placed that I would most like to visit again.Response from Studio on Danube in downtown Budapest sleeps 2 - 08/31/2011

Puyallup, Washington, USAA wonderful apartment in an outstanding location
Left on 04/20/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We recently stayed for 8 days in this wonderful apartment located on the Danube. Our communication with the owner prior to arrival was flawless and offered helpful suggestions for our stay. Check-in went exactly as scheduled with no problems (always an area of anxiety when arriving in a new location). The apartment was spacious, clean with a full kitchen and even a washing machine. The location of the apartment was outstanding. It was near the Vaci Utca (pedestrian street) right on the #2 trolley which goes along the Danube and near the center of the city. We enjoyed out stay in Budapest which was enhanced by our stay in this apartment.

Sydney, AustraliaGreat Location, Great Apartment

We arrived in Budapest with the landlord waiting for us at the door to welcome us and show us the apartment. Prior to arriving though, the landlord was very helpful by providing us with substantial information on Budapest which we used throughout our stay.
The Apartment itself was great, everything you need in a self sustained flat, very well looked after and in excellent condition.
The location of the apartment was perfect. Central, and close to all the key sites within the city. There is a tourist information centre next door which is also very handy.
The landlord was contactable for any concerns or queries that we had and were very nice and helpful during our stay. I highly recommend this apartment and there is no question that this is apartment is my first choice next time i'm in Budapest! 10/10 -

Reno, NevadaRiverside studio apartment in Budapest
Left on 06/22/2009 for a stay in May 2009
I stayed at the studio apartment at Belgrad rakpart in downtown Budapest right near the Elizabeth bridge for a week in mid-May this year.
The owner-manager, Kati, was there to meet me as promised and explained to me how everything in the apartment works. Amenities are a little different in Europe than the States! The place was spacious for one person and would be just as comfortable for two.
The studio apartment layout was thoughtfully extended with a split-level king-size bed neatly tucked into the left corner of the place. The online picture really doesn´t do it justice. There´s another queen-size right under it and a comfy sofa.
The best part is there´s enough storage space and closets to open a boutique! The door to the apartment is about half a foot thick and is insulated with leather-clad padding! Apparently rather common over there. I saw one once at a friend´s place when I was last over there a few years ago. Conveys a reassuring sense of security, anyway.
I ate lunch and/or dinner out, so I didn`t need the fully-equipped kitchen, which was just as spotlessly-clean and well-thought out as the rest of the place. Feels like home-very inviting.
Kati left me her daughter´s number and e-mail in case I needed anything. I did call once to ask about the location of a restaurant. Her English is flawless- very helpful.
The best thing about the place is its location. Right on the river, just across from the main tram line that goes along the Pest side of the Danube. Two streets behind the building is Vaci utca, the main shopping street in town. The best thing about aprtment tourism is being able to come and go as you please. Combine that with the first-class location and the place is hard to beat for the price.
In general, prices have sure gone up in Budapest since I was last there, but the further out of downtown you go, the more the prices drop- another advantage of being just a few steps away from the main public transport network in town.I´ll be back.
