We'll do our best to help you discovering the real face of the city and to become a resident of Budapest for your stay. The newly renovated Astoria Residence is right in the city center of Budapest, so you'll have the best restaurants, cafes and bars nearby.

L'appartement est parfaitement situé à moins de 100 mètres d'une station de métro, juste à côté de la Grande Synangogue. Le quartier propose de nombreux restaurants, et deux supérettes se trouvent même aux pieds de l'immeuble.
L'accueil a été parfait et les chambres sont grandes et confortables.
La salle de bain aussi est très bien, avec une grande baignoire. -

First of all, it´s a family run business. In that sense, everybody from the family is nice and willing to help. No complaints. The location was really good, with lots of restaurants, bus/metros stops and supermarkets nearby. The apartment per se is old, with average forniture. Bathroom was really new though. A part from that, I guess the place could have been a little cleaner, but overall a good stay.

Great apartment, very clean, offers you everything you need in respect of housing/kitchen appliances, linings, towels. Apartment itself is spacious and has three great bedrooms.. Great location, you can find all you need in walking distance (shops, restaurants, cafes, diners, bus station in front of the building). Also public parking available in font of the building (or if you're not so lucky a bit further down the street).. It certainly is great accomodation for affordable price!

Astoria Residence apartment was clean and tidy. We had a very spacious room. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed having out own space but also the common areas where we met some other lovely travelers. Location was great, easy to get anywhere with the metro just on the corner. Would recommend to anyone.

The flats was clean, with all comfort and absolutly central.
U can use Wlan and watch TV with a lot of german Tv-stations.

Astoria is a great place to stay when visiting Budapest, the location is central and near a metro rail station, there are plenty of shops and attractions within walking distance. The accommodation is comfortable and very affordable, and the family who manages the residence are helpful in making your stay a pleasant one. I would recommend astoria to friends and look forward to staying there again some day.

I really enjoyed my stay in astoria Residence apartment - in fact it was like a home from home. It was extremely clean and quiet, with all amenities, and in a very central location. I needed some translation help in Budapest and there was no hesitation from the owners of this apartment, in fact their son met me in the city center to assist me! Such warmth and friendliness really made my stay!

It is well located and it is easy to reach the different places to visit in the city. The apartment was nice and well furnished, ideal for six persons. L'appartamento astoria è un grande appartamento con tre camere da letto, cucina e bagno (toilette separata dal vano doccia), ideale per un gruppo di amici numeroso, data anche l'enorme quantità di divani-letto che possono trasformarsi in posti letto. Situata nel cuore di Pest, le attrazioni più vicine sono la Sinagoga, a due passi dalla porta, e la Basilica di Santo Stefano, raggiungibile con una passeggiata di 5-10 minuti.
Le cose che mi hanno lasciata felicemente impressionata sono soprattutto la posizione centralissima dell'appartamento, che ha reso quasi del tutto superflua la metropolitana se non per andare in Piazza degli Eroi (e comunque la fermata di metropolitana più vicina si trova davvero a pochi passi dal portone) e con i sightseeing buses direttamente sotto casa, e il personale estremamente gentile e molto disponibile: abbiamo ricevuto mappe della città , un sacco di informazioni utili, oltre al fatto che la prenotazione e l'accordo su arrivo, disponibilità delle camere e prezzo è stata incredibilmente semplice e veloce. Il ragazzo che ci ha accolto parlava un perfetto italiano, e c'è stata la possibilità di fare quattro chiacchiere che non avevano nulla a che fare con il nostro rapporto lavorativo. Estrema flessibilità su orari di arrivo e di partenza. L'appartamento ha tutto quello che serve: lenzuola, wifi gratuito, tv, asciugamani, cucina con frigo, fornelli, bollitore e tutto il necessario, compreso zucchero e caffè!
I contro sono: pulizia non proprio perfetta, appartamento decisamente vecchio anche se tenuto abbastanza bene, letti scomodi (un paio erano mezzi sfondati), la strada in cui si trova è molto movimentata anche di notte e le finestre non sono insonorizzate (sono passate ambulanze e macchine della polizia a sirene spianate tutta la notte). Ma la cosa che ha lasciato me e il mio gruppo più delusi è stato lo stato di abbandono totale dello stabile in cui si trova l'appartamento, un palazzo stile anteguerra postatomico, sporco, puzzolente e molto buio. Di giorno persone poco raccomandabili entrano nell'ingresso del complesso per fare pipì. Di notte per fortuna il cancello restava chiuso impedendone l'accesso a chi non munito di chiavi. A vederlo da fuori, era una sistemazione abbastanza spaventosa, ad essere sinceri. Ma vista la fama dei "Pub in rovina" di Budapest, diciamo che anche questo può definirsi un "residence in rovina", per prenderla con filosofia!
In definitiva l'appartamento è consigliato a chi vuole passare un po' di tempo a Budapest senza troppe pretese e spendendo pochissimo (nel nostro caso, 10 euro a notte). -

Abbiamo soggiornato qui con un gruppo di amici per visitare Budapest.
Premettiamo che per costare soli 10 euro a notte quello che offre è persino tanto: posizione super centrale, i ragazzi che ci lavorano parlano anche in italiano e sono molto gentili, disponibili e ti aiutano moltissimo, parlano più lingue tra cui anche l'italiano, possibilità di farsi caffè/tè, cucina, lavatrice, un sacco di bar e pub nelle vicinanze, free wifi, tv, cartine e guide della città a disposizione... Sono stati anche molto flessibili, dandoci l'intera casa anche se per la prima notte eravamo solo in 4 persone ad un prezzo vantaggioso, per poi aumentare il prezzo per la seconda notte in cui eravamo 7. Abbiamo spiegato questa situazione complicata ai responsabili tramite email ed è stato davvero semplice trovare un accordo con loro, in maniera molto veloce, cordiale, informale. I vantaggi sono abbastanza, ma si fermano qui.
Svantaggi: il posto non era proprio una sala operatoria in quanto a igiene, le lenzuola erano lavate ma non estremamente profumate, polvere. La casa è molto antica, con soffitti alti e ragnatele negli angolini, la cucina angusta, l'illuminazione un po' lugubre, gli infissi, le porte e le finestre da dimenticare... La caldaia posta accanto alla doccia, che in italia è assolutamente illegale. Un letto completamente sfondato, l'altro solo per metà . Copridivani pieni di macchie abbastanza inquietanti.
Ma la cosa peggiore non è un'altra: il palazzo in cui si colloca l'appartamento è davvero, davvero da dimenticare. Quando siamo arrivati ci sembrava un incubo. Palazzo primonovecentesco mai ristrutturato, buio, angusto, cadente, fetido, scrostato, per non parlare del fatto che di giorno il cancello che porta al chiostro interno resta aperto, e non abbiamo ben capito perchè l'interno della palazzina svolge il ruolo di orinatoio pubblico per tutti gli sbandati della città .. Una cosa davvero imbarazzante.
Tuttosommato, non mi sento di denigrare completamente questa soluzione, che per la posizione e il prezzo si presta a essere la soluzione ideale per un gruppo di giovani che vuole passare un week end in questa splendida capitale europea. -

Sto per andare via da questa casa ma ancora prima di andarmene mi sono sentito di recensirla...é possibile fittare solo una camera oppure l'intero appartamento, noi eravamo in 7 e quindi abbiamo fittato l'intero appartamento...abbiamo speso in tutto 630 euro per 7 notti. Tutto molto buono, 3 camere da letto, un salotto, un bagno e una cucina. Il proprietario é gentilissimo e nn abbiamo trovato problemi, tutto funzionante. Pulito e udite udite: centralissimo, vicino a tutto, fermata a 2 metri dal portone di casa. Non lasciatevi impressionare dal cortile un po' spartano...wi-fi gratuito

We rented out two appartments in the same block as there were 12 of us staying. The guy that who met us at the apartment was great nothing was too much trouble. he told us about a great bar to go to and also a really good traditional resterant. Apartments has good size and well equipt kitchen and also good size rooms. Only thing that could have been inproved is that it would have been nice if the apartments had air con but for the price it was a great stay!

I stayed in astoria Residence apartment with my friend in august 2012 and it was indeed a smart choice. We had a very nice room (as you can see in the photos) at a very low price. Then you have shared kitchen, washing mashine, tv, free wifi.
Moreover, the apartment has a good location (even if at the arrival we had some difficulties in finding it):
- it is sorrounded by many resteurants, cafes, banks, every kind of service
- 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Sinagogue and only 10 minutes from the centre (St. Stephan, Parliament, main squares ...)
Perfect place to visit Budapest! If I visit it again, I'll sure book it again. -

Very good price for the space and number of beds. Loved the traditional old style Busdapest apartment with internal court yard. The location was excellent for cafes and all transport, although as it is on the main street it was noisy. The only critism are the beds, that were not very comfortable.

Staying at astoria residence was just great. Nice owner who receive you giving out a very good service apart from showing the apartment and its facilities. He gave us tips about the city, recommend us places to visits and even his favorites restaurant which I can say that were worth it. If you are young and are planning to visit Budapest, Astoria residence will be your idilic place. Good price, clean, perfect located and many facilities just in the corner. (restaurant, supermarket, city centre, metro, etc) another good point is the freedom that the owner give to his guess.

The place is really very central and a short walk from the center of the old town and metro station if you need to go further. The family was very helpful with giving us hints and suggestions what to do in the city. The only issue with the flat was that the wireless was not working but the family helped us to fix it. I thoroughly recommend staying here with a bigger group.

The service of astoria residence was great. I had no issues with the residence the whole time. Marton and his mother were so accommodating and made our stay in Budapest a true delight. Our plane arrived late at night as well and Marton sent over two drivers that picked us up and had the apartment key for us.
The home could not be better. Three big bedrooms, a full kitchen, a living room with TV and travel guides, and two bathrooms. No issues at all. The water was hot and the beds were comfortable.
Location could not have been better. I really felt like a local of Budapest because of how residential everything was around us. It was safe all day long, quiet and had good places to eat all around. It is also located next to a Budapest 'must see' the Great Synagogue. (Hint: A good place to tell the taxis drivers to pick you up at, the Synagogue)
I loved every bit of Budapest and it was enhanced fully by staying at astoria Residence.

It was my second time in Budapest and that's why i clearly knew where in budapest i wanna stay. Astoria apartment hit my target. modest priced 24H shop, 3 min away supermarket, metroline, buses, and walking distance to the deak ter. And the most important we got 3bedroom for decent price. Each bedroom is nicely separated with a living room in a center, nice and cozy kitchen with all necessary stuff. I also liked it coz it's in hungarian-austrian style building.

I highly recommend this place for it's perfect location: close to the synagogue and the Jewish quarter with many great bars and restaurants in the close proximity. Bus and metro stop nearby for easy access to the rest of the city.
The host, who isn't always at the place gave a plan and a lot of the good insider tips where to go eat and drink and for some things we certainly shouldn't miss. Time flew by and we couldn't visit everything as planned, so without doubt I'll return to this place. -

We loved our stay at the astoria Residence. The apartment was clean, comfortable, very affordable and the location was amazing. It was really easy to get everywhere either walking or on public transportation. We spent a lot of time at the christmas market and learning about christmas traditions for our host, who even invited our whole family to a free holiday concert that she was performing in. Our family travelled all over the world for seven months and astoria Residence felt like home.

This was the second time I stayed at one of Marton's apartments in Budapest. The first one was a bit north of the Parliament, in a good location if you have a car, but not quite so good if you rely on public transportation and have a sore leg that makes walking a bit difficult. This one was very close to the astoria metro station, with a mini=Tesco store only 50 meters away, so it was much more convenient for my purposes. It is a large flat, with three separate bedrooms and a shared kitchen/bath. The kitchen is just what you need.. a nice fridge, a microwave, an electric teakettle, plates and silverware. From the inner courtyard balcony there is a view of the large Synagogue. This time it was Marton who met me to orient me to the place, last time it was his partner. Both times it worked out great. But it really helps to have a cell phone handy to coordinate!

We stayed in astoria Residence for 3 nights in april 2011, and it was great. We were a group of 8 pax. Marton's mom checked us very late and it was no problem with that, she also reccommended couple of nice places (restaurants, clubs etc.) and explained everything. If you are travelling with friends and would like to stay in a hotel in Budapest, don't do it just write to Marton and he will offer you better service :)

I arrived at night, tired after a long trip.(I am 71 years young!!) Marton had been very helpful giving me directions and tips via internet and phone, so I had no problems finding the place. The first impression I got upon arriving to the building was not that good. It is (was?)after all an old building, but with great character. That changed completly as soon as I got into the apartment. Marton´s mother -a charmming true lady- was waiting for me with all kinds of tips, maps, and a welcoming bottle of hungarian wine. My room was very comfortable and big. Shared kitchen, living room and bathroom facilities were totally adequate and spotless. Washing machine, WiFi, cable Tv etc,all worked fine. There are all together 3 rooms, and the feeling is as if you were at sombody´s home, Upon arrival, I was given a set of keys,and some phone numbers in case I needed something. Marton, his mother or his friend were always available, and eagar to help.
The location is very good. Price/value, it is hard to top. I will surely stay there again...Thanks, folks!!! -

The astoria residence is perfect for anyone looking for budget accomodation.This won't break the bank however it is easy to find, in the heart of the city spacious and clean.
The rooms are spacious with a kitchen/sitting area.
It is clean and hassle free all round.

A very nice apartment in the very very centre of Budapest. Everything is in the walking distance. It's the perfect place for visiting the city. The building is into a fabolous court where you can see the dome of the synagogue, beautiful view!
Bathroom and kitchen are to share, but this is the beauty of a journey, get in touch with different people! Clean location and the owners very friendly and hospitable.
If I could I would return there now!

As for my stay as a whole for New Years Eve 2011 in Budapest I felt really welcome everywhere. Friendly atmosphere of Budapest knocked me off my feet, besides food and great wines! Astoria Residence was no exception. Marton was very helpful with city maps and explanations, it was insanely clean and really comfortable and so it was quite enjoyable to spend a night at this place after aforementioned great food and wine. I will certainly come back asap!

The astoria residence is across from the Great Synagogue (though the entrance is on the next street), and 1/2 block from the underground entrance, from which you can go all over Budapest. I was greeted by Mrs. Andrassy when I came. She provided me with a map and tourist information, and offered to answer any questions or make recommendations, which I did not need since I had been to Budapest before and had a list of what I wanted to see. When I return to Budapest, I will contact Budapesting.com for lodging.
The apartment was in tip-top shape during the four days I stayed there. Each bedroom has a separate key for security. For most of the time, the other residents and I nodded or said hello as we came and went, but the last two days, I had a wonderful time comparing notes with a wonderful Canadian couple and sharing a bottle wine that I was presented with upon arrival. There is a kitchen where you can prepare your own food.
Budapest is an amazing city. I've been there for two weeks on three visits now and have not exhausted the sights. And the astoria residence (and others offered by Budapesting.com, I suspect) offer a chance to escape the tourist district and see more of Budapest and Hungarian housing. There are many attractions within a half mile - the Great Synagogue, a crystal shop, theaters, parks, the Danube embankment -- to name a few that I sampled. And I loved the sight of the synagogue tower as I climbed the steps to the apartment. -

The apartment was super warm with a boiler in my room even though there was snow on the ground outside. Martha the owner of the apartment was very friendly and helpful and she made me feel very welcome. She came around to clean the apartment every day and I felt very at home here in this apartment. The apartment was very clean at all times. The location was excellent as it was so central in the centre of Budapest and it was also only 3 minutes walk from the Profident dental clinic which I attended for the week for dental treatment. The price of the stay was very reasonable and Martha left me a bottle of wine when I arrived in the apartment. I will definitely return to this apartment in auust 2011 for my final week of dental treatment.

I liked very much my 10-day-stay at this place in the centre of Budapest. This apartment is very clean (kitchen, bathroom and toilet and of course my sleeping room), with TV set and lots of basics in the kitchen (salt, coffee..) There are books provided and information brochures about Hungary/Budapest and city magazines. I shared the apartment with some other guests of other sleeping rooms in the same apartment. The hosts are very friendly and always happy to help when they came to clean or had something to do there - giving activity hints etc.- I even could practise a bit Hungarian language with them! For me it is a must for individual travellers and I am looking forward to my next stay with Marton´s crew!

We were met at the airport by the friendly owners, picked up in a BMW and taken to the apartment. Location is excellent and could not have asked for a better stay. Very friendly and accommodating, normally i feel ripped off with deals like this but not on this occasion. I would recommend this place to either a group of friends or a romantic getaway!

the Astoria Residence is clean and well equipped, with kitchen, washing
machine and wifi.. They have 3 bedrooms which could accommodate up to
10 person. We rented the whole apartment and it s nice and cosy to get to
spent time with each others in the living and dining area. The rooms are
spacious and comfortable.
it's very convenient to move around as it is only 3 minutes walk to the metro
and right next to the jewish quarters and the main square in budapest.
There are plenty of cafes, fast food restaurants and mini markets nearby the
residence.
It's owner, mdm sussie and marton provided good recommendation on local
food and money changer and a guide book of the city.
It's most suitable for family or groups of friends.
It would be good if you know a little about the city or consult the tourist
information office as there will be no reception, even though sussie or
marton can be reach most of the time. and there's no lift up to the
residence which is on 2nd floor. -

Astoria Residence is situated in the centre of Pest and is the perfect place to stay for a trip to Budapest. All major sites are within walking distance or accessable via an excellent transport system; metro, trams, buses.
As soon as tne apartment was booked, weeks before our trip, Marton was advising and helping make our stay memorable and this continued throughout our stay.

Wprawdzie sp?dzilismy w Budapeszcie tylko jedna noc, ale i tak z pe?na odpowiedzialnoscia daje Astoria Residence 5 gwiazdek. Bylo domowo i sympatycznie ;-)). Marton swietnie mówi po polsku, co u?atwia zdecydowanie kontakt(w wielu miejsach mielismy problemy z porozumieniem sie po angielsku czy niemiecku).Do tego dochodzi swietna lokalizacja (samo centrum). My bylismy samochodem (bardzo wysokie op?aty za parkowanie w godz. od 8.00 do 20.00). Jednak pobliskie centrum handlowe rozwi?zuje problem;)
Je?li kiedy? jeszcze zawitamy do tego pieknego miasta, na pewno skorzystamy z oferty noclegowej Astoria Residence. -

What else I can say? Perfect location. Just few meters form second biggest synagogue worldwide, few meters from METRO station, few meters form market. Lots of nice coffe's and bars nearby (one or more in the very same building). Apartment was clean, well capped with high speed wi-fi internet access. Its a perfect choice.
and btw: I got a ticket form police for bad parking also with "the wheel blocking device". I don't speak Hungarian, so I called the owner of apartment, if he could help us out. He gets to the place in few minutes later (that was saturday evening!), he drived us to the police station, translated everything for us...and so on. Ive never met a person on my trips that was more kind then he is. So again.. thank you very much Marton :)
I can highly recommend Astoria Residence, it was a perfecy holliday :) -

The flat is really cute, well decorated and confortable.
It is very well located, right in the city centre. The building is beautiful with a view on the synagogue.

Myself and my partner stayed in Astoria house for 7 nights, right near the metro station. Location perfect. Peter picked us up from the airport and gave us an absolute wealth of information of things to see and do in and around Budapest along with maps.
The apartment at Astoria was very homely, its a 3 bedroom place, but we were lucky to have it all to ourselves. It had kitchen too, perfect for us who had to watch our budget as we tended to cook our own meals and eat in.
All in all, highly recommend budapesting.com

Having had some trouble with another rental it was simply wonderful moving into this one. The owners are very kind and helpful. I found the bathroom really nice and clean - the hot tub was without question a big plus. The room I had was cozy and the bed very comfortable. I was also very happy about the good washing machine and the well equipped kitchen.
The location is excellent - it would have been hard to find a better place.

I rented a room in an appartment in Astoria Residence managed by www.budapsting.com.and it was a great expérience. The room was in a three bedroom appartment. It was really big, quite and warm. The appartment is very calm and clean with a fully equiped kitchen and a nice bathroom.
It's centrally located and Marton and his mum are lovely and give you all the informations you need to have a dreamfull stay.I really recommand this place, it's really cheap for the quality. You will not regret your choice.

My husband and I stayed here for 9 days at the beginning of our 18 month trip around the world. We were hoping to find a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay which was also affordable. Affordable is not easy to find but we were fortunate enough to have gotten in touch with Marton who settled us into our sweet place with an old home feel. We loved to location near the metro lines and found it easy to get around. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Marton was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He is thoughtful and professional which made us feel safe and well looked after at the onset of our epic journey. A traveler always prefers a good start and that was provided in Budapest. We would certainly stay there again if our travels bring us back there again someday. We felt very much at home.

Hi all,
I rented a room in Marton's apartment for a weekend in February 2009. The place was great. Very nice inside, excellent modern facilities, and a really great idea of what to see and do around Budapest from Marton :)
The place has a fantastic location, right near the Astoria Metro Station on Rákóczi út. If you're looking for a nice, really well-kept plapce to stay with friendly people, I'd recommend :)
Oh and if you're reading this but still not sure about your Budapest visit, you should definitely go. It's beautiful.

A large group of us (8) stayed in the Astoria Residence for a weekend in November, and could not have been happier with the place. The owner arranged airport pickups for us, and supplied us with enough spare beds that no one had to share. The neighborhood near the Synagogue is terrific, with lots of good restaurants, bars, and clubs, and easy access to the city center and river.
For a group as large as ours, renting an apartment was definitely the way to go -- low cost and almost no hassle. I definitely would stay there again. -

I highly recommend this accommodation, not only for the location and conditions of the place, but for the person who organized my stay. Marton Andrassy was fabulous and very accommodating, not only personally picking my friend and me up from the airport (for a small fee), but graciously understanding our flight cancellation and loss of a day in Budapest. He gave us a map to help orient us, recommended places to eat and sights to see, and helped us plan out the best route to take.
In addition, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. It also gave us the opportunity to meet other travelers, as we only stayed in one of the 3 rooms in the residence. My only complaint is that I wish I had had more time to spend there!
Whenever I get back to Budapest, I would gladly contact my new friend, Marton, and stay at one of his locations. And if you stay, too, please tell Marton I said, "Hello!" -- Susan from NYC -

Martin was a great host. He picked us up at the airport, gave us maps of the city, showed us the best place to go to eat/drink, and even outlined a sort of "guide" to the city on the map. We followed his suggestions of where to go and when, and we couldn't have done better. We saw the best parts of Budapest and got to sample great food and we just had a fun seeing the city.
We rented the entire apt for a really reasonable price. It was clean, organized, and coffee and tea (and a good bottle of Hungarian wine) were awaiting us upon our arrival. Plenty of privacy and space to cook meals if you so desire.
The location was great. We were close enough to everything that we could walk. Although it was a good stretch of the legs, even the far stuff was within walking distance.
There really wasn't anything to complain about except I remember that the coffee wasn't so good. Not a big deal.
What I liked most was how warm and inviting Martin was. It was because of him and what he did that made our experience in Budapest AWESOME and I would definitely recommend this place if you ever go to Budapest.

We stayed up there in October with a group of 8 people. The place is very nice and well taken care of, best thing is the location, right by one of the best metro stations. Only caveat is that there is only one bathroom, so might be tricky for bigger groups, but the overall definitely makes up for that.

I had a fantastic stay in Budapest, a beautiful city and the accommodation helped immensely. Marton and Pete were great hosts; always readily available with a wealth of information at hand. They really go out of their way to insure your stay in Budapest is nothing but fantastic. The apartment is in a great, safe location. A short walk to all the main attractions with the metro also at your doorstep. It is fully equipped and has a comfortable lounge to kick back after a long day of sightseeing along with T.V, wireless and laundry facilities. I highly recommend staying here.

Marton and Peter were brilliant, they met us at the airport and spent time with us at the apartment making sure we knew the best places to visit and to eat and drink, which is invaluable when on a short visit. The apartment was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. It was really nice to stay in a building with so much character! Being right in the city centre was also great as we could get to all the main sights easily by foot or by train. All in all we had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend a visit to Budapest. Was a bit rainy for us but this didn't put us off exploring!

Well, to begin with, the host was really helpful
and provided us with all the useful information we
needed, recommending both the places to visit and
those to avoid :) The home we stayed at was located
in the centre of Budapest, next to the metro
station, so it was pretty easy to travel to any
part of the city. Although the home was situated in
the centre, it was surprisingly quiet at night. The
thing we liked least about our stay there was the
unbearable heat but that was no one's fault, of
course... and the thing we liked best was the city
itself - Budapest is a wonderful and magical place
worth visiting anytime :-) -

What a wonderful time my four friends and I had in Budapest and in Marton's lovely apartment!
Marton was very helpful knowing that we only had a little bit of time in Budapest, yet we wanted to see as much as possible. He planned our days for us, marked up a map, and sent us on our way, it was truly a pleasure!
The place provided us with a great cozy atmosphere! I look forward to recommending this place to friends and family planning to travel through Europe. -

This apartment was very nice and comfortable. It was equiped with three bedrooms and more than enough room for the five person group with which I traveled. In addition, we were provided with a living room, full restroom facilities, and a kitchen. I was more than pleased with the apartment itself and the location. It was within walking distance of many shops and monuments. The proprietor was very kind and helpful too. He gave us a ride from the airport to the apartment and he even gave us two days worth of ideas for touring the city. This involved him actually pulling out a map and marking places to go and the best routs there. His prices were very reasonable too. Overall, I highly recommend this accomadition to any traveler. If you are in the Budapest area, then the Astoria Residence is the best place to stay!

Our trip to Budapest would not have been as wonderful if it were not for
Marton. Upon first meeting him for the ride from the airport, we knew we
made a good choice, not only was the apartment better than we expected, but
Marton was so helpful is helping us know how to plan our travel around the
city. I can't say enough good things about it! I feel like we got a great glimpse
of Budapest and Hungarian culture in only two days! -

I can highly recommend the appartment for its location and the quality of not only welcome services provided. On my view, it is a good choice especially for short term stays.
The only reason for 1 star missing in my review is that I spent there 3 weeks and it was quite tiring to see new and new people coming and leaving.
Marton who manages all practical modalities related to the rental is very nice person, very helpful and openminded, a real professional! K?sz?n?m mindent, M?rton! And say hello to your mum!

Budapesting's Astoria Residence is basically a three-bedroom flat that we shared with other guests. It's pleasant and well-located, and the price was pretty good value. What sets this place apart is the manager, Marton, who makes a point of offering personalized touring advice to each guest. He speaks five languages and is very well-organized--kind of amazing for someone as young as he is (early 20's). We have recommended Budapesting to other travelers. The only thing we didn't like was that the toilet is right off the kitchen and the door doesn't close properly--made for a few embarrassing moments. But, not a big deal. I would return.

This is a cute, clean place to stay. It is a great value for the price. It is a good location and it is easy to get around Budapest from here. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need. But the best part is the staff. They are all extreamly helpful and really want you to enjoy your stay in Budapest. They take extra time to make sure you know where to go.

The apartment was in a wonderful location and was exactly as it was in the pictures. It is completely stocked with everything needed to make you feel comfortable.
The best thing about the apartment was the host. He spent quite a bit of time outlining the highlights of the city and helped with reservations when needed.
It was a wonderful trip and the apartment was one of the best parts. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone -

Everyone who loves culture, colourful architecture, magnificent buildings and sights, nature and unique green parks, a relaxed environment with sunny terraces, kind people and a night scene full of variety; and does not like over-crowded tourist attractions, littered beaches or noisy drunk fellow travellers, is sure to be fond of Budapest. This beautiful city is worth more than just one trip, and the apartments of Budapesting are worth more than just one stay. The apartments are large, clean and well taken care of, right in the centre of the city and, most important of all, with Marton as such a very kind and invaluable guide into Budapest. With his advice upon arrival it is easy and a wonderful experience to see all different awe-inspiring and quieting aspects of Budapest. I have missed the city's atmosphere since I left it and I am sure to come back for another stay; I highly recommend everyone who is curious to experience Budapesting as well.
