Just what I was looking for
This was perfect for me and my buddy. This isn't the largest apartment, but it's clean, with all the necessary amenities. The location is at one of the major intersections in Pest (the Eastern side of the city), which makes getting around quick and easy. The host (Marton) is very friendly and helpful, and will provide advice on places to visit and how to get there. Recommended.
Kiraly street the place to be
I had the best time at this apartment. Already lived in Budapest a couple of years ago before this second visit, so I knew this location was great in advance. Here you can have access by walking distance to most of the attractions, museums, monuments, social life, really nice and even if you want to go a bit further, it is also a very short walking distance (less than 5 min) from the subway, tram or bus so you can go anywhere you want between Buda and Pest.
We were also very well welcomed, maps were provided, clean towels and sheets and the house was very clean. The cuisine was totally equipped so we only needed to worry about groceries, and by the way, supermarkets with fresh food are also super close. It is also very big! Perfect for a family trip or to travel with a group os friends.
I would definitely come back!
Like my own flat!
The apartment was really nice and comfortable. It was located close to the city centre and it was easy to get there. The apartment was clean, with bedroom, living room and kitchen. I liked it because I felt that I had my own flat in Budapest.
This place is awesome!I really enjoy my stay, the staff was very friendly, there was fully equipped kitchen and the location is very good!
I recommend this place!
Perfect location and great spacious flat
I had the pleasure to stay in the King's Court apartment by Budapesting last year. The location could not have been better, right in the most liveliest quarter of the city and the place was spacious and comfy. Would definitely consider going back again.
If you want to make your stay in Budapest perfect...
Rooms are big and clean, the apartment has everything you need. The owners are absolutely nice and kind, always available for any requests or suggestions. The apartment is situated in a beautiful building, only 5-10 minutes far from the city centre and from places where to hang out in the evening.
My friends and I really liked, I would reccomend you staying there if you want your holiday in Budapest to be great!
Vermillion, South Dakota, US
I really enjoyed staying at this apartment. Apart from very high standards of cleanliness, the apartment was very tastefully furnished and the kind owners were very prompt and attentive to ensuring that my stay was comfortable. The price was great and the apartment exceeded my expectations in every way (heating, hi-speed wifi, cleanliness, etc.). Staying at the Budapesting apartments made my visit to Budapest extremely enjoyable. If I ever visit the city again, I will most definitely want to stay at King's Court apartment.
Wonderful apartment in the center of Budapest
I've had the pleasure of staying in this apartment during a visit to Budapest for 3 nights. The room was clean and had everything I wanted during my stay. Despite being in the middle of the city, with shopping and entertainment venues mere minutes away on foot, it was still calm enough to have a good night sleep, because of being tucked away on the other side of the busy main street. And if you were feeling lazy, the apartment is right next to the metro station, as well as bus and tram lines.
I enjoyed my stay a lot in Budapest. The city has many things to see and do, but a large part of that joy was due to this apartment and to Marton from budapesting.com. Thanks a lot for a wonderful time, and I'll be sure to stay here on my next visit.
My friend from Rome and I stayed in this appartment in September 2012 and felt like at home. The well furnished appartment was very comfortable, and the location in Budapest was very central. There are several bus and tram stops close to the flat.
Large apartment, Good location
Everything was good. Very good location, convinent to walk to downtown area.
We recommend this apartment.
Very good location. Good service and welcoming. Average cleanliness. Overall good satisfaction.

Great location, roomy apartment
My sister and I stayed at King's Court in May, 2011, so I'm rather tardy in reviewing. The location is excellent, right near the Oktogon, stores, restaurants, and the #4 & 6 trams. The apartment has two good-sized bedrooms and a nice kitchen. Small communal area, but it was all we needed. Marton is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful in giving ideas of places to see. The only negative is that the bathroom could use some updating. Other than that, King's Court was an excellent stay.
great value for money, located in centre of budapest
The appartment had all the basic utilities we needed as two single travellers, up to u microwave, internet and laundry machine. It is hard to find a similar apartment with 2 bedrooms for this price! The livingspace was limited, but as we had no kids with us, it was more then sufficient.
Saludos.
excellent situation and charming appartment
Very clean and good location, the check in was very friendly and our stay was great.
One bed was broken but not a big problem.
Thanks for all !
nice apartment at a good location
Great location (near the centre and quiet), helpful owner, nice apartment. The bathroom is a little bit outdated, but that is the only small minus point. We really enjoyed our stay at King's Court.
Enjoyed our Stay
We enjoyed our 12 days at Kings Court. The apartment is very well located near Oktogon Station. There is a grocery store across the street called CBa that has everything you might need. There is also a farmer's market about a block away with fresh produce, meat and a nice bakery. There are plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance on andrassy. The apartment has everything you might need. The kitchen is easy to cook in, but could use sharper knives. The entire apartment is fitted out in Ikea and reminded us of the Ikea showroom two bedroom, but with high ceilings and vintage features. We loved being in a building with locals, the neighbors were really nice. For the price, I doubt you could do better in Budapest. The apartment isn't perfect, the ceilings are stained, the floors creak and the bathroom is in need of a re-do. Still, it was nicer than we expected for the price we paid. Don't forget to bring cash. The Budapesting.com website said they accept any type of credit card, but they only accept cash. We never met Peter or Marton. The very sweet girl who met us spoke only a few words of English. We had to go to the aTM and take out the max on several cards to pay her in cash, then had to wait until the next day to get a receipt from Marton's sister. We also never got a bottle of wine. On the website it says check out is at 11:00am. Be ready early though, the owner's sister showed up at 10:00am and let herself in without ringing the bell. We told her we would be ready by 11:00am as that was the checkout time posted. She said "no problem" but then sat at the dining room table waiting for us to go. If the check in and check out would have gone more smoothly I would have given King's Court five stars.
Friendly, helpful owners run a modest, clean, convenient apt.
I stayed here a while ago, and never got around to filling this out, yet haven't forgotten that I did enjoy staying at this apt. This was my first time to Budapest, and I ended up coming alone. I had arranged in advance to be picked up at the airport (additional fee) which was great. One of the owners picked me up, and gave me some city advice. The location ended up being very convenient. All in all, I thought that this was a great value for what was provided.
Sting concert and siteseeing
This place is excellent, hosts are very nice, they welcomed us with the wine. Place is very well positionoed - just 10 mins walk from the center. I realy recomment this! Thanks for entertaining!
Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Québec, Canada
Shower needs to be re-done. The location is very good and within easy access of public transportation and grocery stores. You live in a local surrounding it is not a tourist resort which is what we like when we travel.
Great value for money. Very central location, Wifi, very friendly owners, warm welcome, cozy building and apartment. We had a great time in Budapest!
Great place, great people, excellent value
We stayed here in October of 2010 and had a great experience. The location was perfect and the apartment was very comfortable. Thanks to Budapesting for all that they do!

Very nice city apartment
The apartment on King's Court was a very nice and cozy place to stay. It is centrally located, and furnished with everything I needed -- much more pleasant than a hotel.
Marton and his friend were especially helpful in providing tourist guides and maps, and general advice on what to do and see.
stay to Budapest
We enjoyed our stay in Budapest.
We had a very good reception at the apartment.
The apartment is very nice and very well situate.Toutes voi things are nearby, we could just go walking
Perfect Space for a Solo Female Traveler
The King's Court Double room is perfect for one or two persons. It is a cute little room, with a desk, fouton chair, double bed and wardrobe. The lounge is a bit small-but cosy with a nice couch and tv. The kitchen has all appliances, instant coffee, tea, etc, with a nice table to sit at in the hallway. The bathroom is clean and there is a laundry machine, hair dryer and iron available. Wifi is also available at the flat. There are extra blankets and toilets, and the apartment is well heated. It was very clean and felt like home within no time. I had the flat to myself for 2 nights, then shared the flat with another guest for the rest of my visit. This was fine as each room has its own locked door. The area is very safe. There are loads of tea houses, shops and cafes close by (although im not a fan, there is a starbucks on the corner-which is a good way to remember where the apartment is located). there is a Spar market close by and a vegetable market around the corner. Being a vegan I was very happy to discover that a great vegan restaurant was a 7 minute walk from the apartment (I ate there most nights!) the flat is very easy to get to from the airport-it is about a 10 minute walk to the Oktogon Metro station, with plenty of bus and tram cars passing nearby. While the area is quite a buzz-with plenty of people out and about (so its safe to walk home at night), the flat was actually rather quiet! The neighbors were also very friendly. So in general, i would definitely recommend staying in the flat (even if i was a bit confused on how to drop off my key when i was leaving) Oh I am was a single female traveler.
Morton, his mom and her friends were very friendly and helpful in regards to checking in and checking out. There were options for pick up to and off at the airport. I have already recommended this place to my friends.
Coimbra - Portugal
Very good place to stay for a little visit
The place was very good, central and with a lot of supermarkets, bars, grosseries near.
Have public transports near too.
We received a very good sservice.
The team is young and very pleasent, and they give us very good tips for us to visit the city.
The city is very, very beautiful.
Everything was perfect!
The apartment is very nice and really good located. The service was more more than good, I would dare to say it was perfect. Really warm people and friendly. Everything was perfect!
very good location and very raccomanted! The owner of the appartment is very kind!
Perth Western Australia
A very pleasant and convenient place to stay.
Two bedrooms and adequate kitchen/eating area. Great location in a quiet block of apartments.
Handy to convenience shopping and transport to all the major attractions. walking distance to many.

Good location, quiet and traditional building
Me, my husband and a friend stayed here for two nights on our way through Europe. We were welcomed and given very helpful advice on where to eat etc. Would definitely stay there again if we were in Budapest.
Great value for money
Due to Marton's absence, there was some confusion with regards to our airport collection and the number of nights/number of people we had booked however this was easily resolved without too much hassle and a group of us got settled at Kings Court for a few nights before heading to a festival.
Kings Court felt halfway between a backpacker hostel and a friend's place; it had everything we needed but was quite basic and had a 'help yourself' feel to it - i.e we made our own beds, washed the towels and bathmat etc and each bedroom could be locked as the property can accommodate different groups of travellers. However, this was what we were expecting and we therefore felt Kings Court was great value for money and far preferable to staying in a backpackers.
The property was well located within Budapest and we were safe wondering around the area day or night.
The only negatives about the property were some cleanliness issues: the squishy wet bathmat that hadn't been washed in goodness knows how long, dirty cups/plates etc, and the fact that other travellers we didn't know had keys to the property and, when we arrived back after having a wander the first night, found them in the property collecting their luggage. It was a bit awkward and we were grateful they didn't steal any of our belongings.
Should we return to Hungary we'd stay at Kings Court again.
Great apartment to stay in Budapest
This apartment is a great place to stay in Budapest and will really help you experience the city as a local. Budapest is not cheap and the majority of the hotels are located near tourist districts. This lets you cheaply stay like a local and gain a better understanding of the city. I found this apartment online and was more than pleased with the location, the amenities and the cost. Best of all, the hosts were quick to respond to email and very helpful when checking in and out. Highly recommend!
It doesn't get any better than this!
The fine folks at Budapesting didn't just provide me with a clean, affordable, and centrally-located flat, they went out of their way to help me feel welcome and were always available to answer questions and help with requests.
I happened to be in town working on a travel guide and Marton, Peter, and Suzie all offered their expertise on a wide range of subjects from Hungarian culture to Hungarian history, as well as where the best local spots for food and drink can be found. They also took me on a fascinating tour of Lake Balaton, a trip I will never forget and highly recommend!
Honestly, whether you're looking for an exceptional place to lay your head or an authentic Hungarian experience complete with three of the country's most knowledgeable and generous souls, Budapesting is the only way to go.
Brilliant stay..top host...
We were lucky to stay in Kings court in Jan.2011 and March 2011,we were met by Marton on arrival who spent quality time telling us the best parts of the city to explore. The people are all so friendly its so easy to get around either using public transport,or just walking around.Kings court itself is very comfortable with kitchen area, dinning area a small living area/sitting area and two large bedrooms It was clean and tidy and freshly painted.. if you fancy some trips out of the city the train station is a 10m min.walk away, you can catch the train To Vienna for 25 Euros, ideal for staying a couple of nights or a couple of weeks, make sure you go the spas!!!
5 Stars and cant wait to get back...Many thanks Marton...
Comfortable festival and Budapest visiting.
The apartment is well placed in one of the better street of Budapest.
Near of public transports (Metro/Bus).
We stayed here for Sziget festival, it was a good choice, after a day of music, it was pleasant to come back in a comfortable apartment.
It's also near of shops and restaurants, no need to provide what to eat.
We really thought we lived here since a while.
It was very convenient to be autonomous.
I don't think I would look elsewhere for a quality apartment.
I won't hesitate to come back in the place for our next trip in Budapest.
Port St Lucie, Florida, USA
My wife and I spent four weeks at King's Court in November and December 2010. We enjoyed our stay very much.
First, the owners - Marton, Peter, and Suzie - were delightful and quite helpful. They were also available whenever we had a problem (loss of internet, etc.), and they fixed the problems immediately.
The apartment is spacious. The bedrooms are very large and the heaters worked well. The kitchen is more than adequate and well equipped. Also, the owners did a wonderful job of providing many of the basics for living - plenty of laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, etc. There was a broom, a mop, and even a vacuum cleaner. We appreciated these things the longer we stayed.
But the best thing about the apartment is the location - on Kiraly a block from Erzebet Krt. This is the heart of the city, and buses and trams are right out the front door. There is a wonderful bakery directly across the street and a small grocery less than half a block away.
The only negatives we found were the bathroom and the salon. The shower stall is small and the curtain tended to cling to the body when washing. The salon is also small and cramped.
We really enjoyed our stay at King's Court. It was a great base from which we could explore this beautiful city.
A good and very cheap apartment
We stayed there five days and we had a good time. The house is near bus and metro stop and the homeowner is very aproachable and kind.

What a great way to see Budapest!
I heard about Marton through the Thorn Tree travel forum on the Lonely Planet website, a place I often turn for very sound travel advice. I was incredibly impressed by Marton and the apartment. It was incredibly comfortable, close to everything and provided a great opportunity to see the city in a different way. I booked a few days before arriving and was able to rent a room in the apartment. Marton's flexibility and willingness to go out of the way to help and provide info was much appreciated. His apartments really helped to make my Budapest visit easy and memorable. I would highly recommend this to anyone! I am a woman and was traveling alone and felt that this was a great way for me to stay - safe and easy!
Great apartment in great location
We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. We were greeted at the apartment by Peter who spent a good 30 minutes going through everything we needed to know about our stay including transport, restaurants and attractions. The location was central to everything and the restaurant downstairs was great. The apartment was adequate to our families needs having a separate bedroom and living areas with other beds in the main living rooms. It was also clean and tidy. For the price we paid it was great and the extra service provided by Marton and Peter was a nice personal touch. I would recommend it to others who are considering staying in Budapest

Next Time We Will Stay Longer!
The personal greeting and check-in information made us feel right at home and equipped us to head out on our own and enjoy Budapest's many attractions. When the repairs and improvements to the bathroom get finished the apartment will be one of the best values in the city and we would recommend it without any reservations.

Perfect Place to Stay in Budapest
My husband, adult daughter and I shared the larger of the 2 units in this apartment and thought the whole experience was great. We took advantage of the airport pick-up service and were glad we did. The location is close to two yellow line metro stops and right around the corner from Fox autorental. Marton patiently answered many questions before we even arrived and Peter gave us many helpful hints when we got there. If we are lucky enough to ever return to Budapest we will definitely contact them for lodging availability.

A Fine and Reasonable Place to stay in Budapest
My sweetheart and I stayed at the Kings Court apartment for 9 nights. It was very comfortable and well equipped with everything one could need, including a washing machine! The location is also excellent, walking distance to so many things in a fascinating and beautiful city.
Marton and Peter were very kind, especially after my luggage did not arrive with me. Marton was extremely helpful sorting it all out in Hungarian.
I recommend this apartment highly.
A second good experience
This is the second time I stayed at one of Marton's hotel/apartments. There is plenty of room, and Marton (and his partner Peter) provide excellent service. The american traveler should understand that this isn't a typical hotel; it is an apartment. Some people might be put off by the fact that it is in an apartment building, but I like the fact that I can feel like I'm living like a resident of the city. Downstairs is a bakery, and very nice restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walking distance (depending upon whether you hurry or stroll!). It is also close to andrassy Blvd. which puts you in the middle of the major sites of the city.
Dallas, TX USA
The opportunity to be a guest at the King's Court Apartment on my recent
trip to Budapest was a very nice experience. While Marton was out of
the country, I was greeted by Peter upon arrival. He carried my luggage
up the stairs for me which was a great help. We then sat down at the
kitchen table where he provided a map of the city, suggested historical
landmarks to visit and made restaurant recommendations. The apartment
was very well situated - a five minute walk from the opera house (I
attended Tosca on April 24th), a short walk to the Oktogon metro stop
which I used frequently, a short distance to the Liszt Ferenc ter and
the many restaurants. The kitchen has been updated with granite
countertops and a nice refrigerator. Since I was traveling solo, it was
important to feel safe and I definitely felt safe in this apartment.
Also, I met some of the neighbors - two young college students who were
Marton and Peter certainly contributed to the enjoyment of my
stay in Budapest. Marton assisted me in the planning stages of my trip
for which I'm most grateful and Peter assisted me upon

Sleeps wonderful in the King's Court
We stayed at the King's Court apartment for about a week in April. We were coming from Vienna and going to Prague after Budapest. I have to tell I liked Budapest the most, as it is truly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe (have seen many places in Europe before). We were very lucky to be hosted by the budapesting.com and Marton, as he gave us the best tips and recommendations. Upon arrival he planned with us our stay and we followed his route, which let us to explore all the beauties of Budapest and the Danube Bend - Eger... The apartment is perfect, the boyler has been fixed, as the termostator has been changed, so we had no problem with the hot water. The full kitchen, the ability to use the laundry, the available free coffee and tea and all the other small extras made our stay very enjoyable. Marton is a great host and Budapesting is the place to stay in Budapest.
saowaluck (meiji) Thailand
Marton is very kind and gives good take care. Just comment on the hot water, it's not stable.
The place has an easy access and is very clean. Most of facilities needed are provided. Only my concern is the bathroom. There should be more than one and hot water most of the time didn't run consistently.
However, Marton is really friendly and helpful.
Nice apartment in the center of Budapest!
We spent a very nice time in this apartment in Budapest, we enjoyed the rooms' size, the complete equipment in the kitchen and Marton is a very nice person who gave us interesting information about the city!
However, we regret that the shower wasn't that easy to use.
But still, we recommend this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again!
RIO DE JANEIRO
The best location, the decoration and the landlords fabulous helpfulness was much appreciated. This apartment is better than any hotel experience. Next time I am in Budapest I know where I am staying!
A nice and fully equipped apartment, with anything
you might need, including a full kitchen and a
Even the smaller room of the two is spacious and
more than enough for a couple.
The location is very convinient as well, located 5
minutes from a metro station.
The host Marton (and so is his partner Peter whom
we also met) is very nice and helpful, and he
invested some of his time to sit down with us and
help us choose the places we would go to, and
recommended some places to eat at.
I would definitely stay there again if I wanted to
visit Budapest for the second time.
Remarkably central, wonderfully personal
As my second stay in Budapest, this is the icing on the cake! My brother and
I had 10 days in central Europe, and now I regret not staying past 3 days in
Marton and Peter provided an unmatched welcome into the city! They sat
down for an hour getting to know what we liked and answering questions on
how to truly enjoy our visit. Having travelled quite extensively in my day,
I've never had a local or concierge reveal all the 'secret goods' about a city.
Usually you're pointed to touristy restaurants and expat bars. Without fail,
we tried almost every restaurant and night scene they recommended, and all
were astonishing. Maybe Hungarian cuisine is just that phenomenal, but we
were always walking around with happy stomachs. Read up on ruin pubs
and you'll get the local flavor of nightlife, too!
The apartment itself couldn't be more central, too. Steps away from
Andrassy Utca (near the opera house / House of Terror), we barely found
the need to take public transport. Comfortable rooms (the heat was a
saving grace on a few cold nights), quick internet, well-stocked kitchen,
clothes washer - better accomodations than any hotel, and at the right
price. We felt right at home when we needed a breather to relax. Thanks for
inviting us into your home and culture. Definitely a must for visiting one of
the most incredible cities in Europe!
This place was fantastic to spent few days in Budapest.
Great location in centre of the city. Just around the corner of well known squere-Oktogon.
Few minutes to metro station and tram.
In the apartment you can find clean and spacious rooms, full equipment kitchen, comfortable beds, wi-fi, tv, bathroom and everything you need. Good place for family with kids.
Marton - the landlord- was very helpful with planning what to do and see in Budapest.
I'd definitely like to return:).
I will recomend King's Court to all my friends:)
All of Marton's and Peter's properties are well maintained, clean and comfortable. They really know how to make you feel at home and are quick to provide you with suggestions on what to do in Budapest. Both are quite helpful. Overall, my stay was quite pleasant and would recommend their housing facilities to anyone traveling through Budapest.
Big, spacious, Budapest-style appartment located in
the heart of the capital. Other advantages are
comfortable beds, renewed kitchen, Internet
connection, TV and helpful landlord. I highly
recommend that place.
Nice flat in great location
The owners (Marton, his mother and Peter) were very accommodating and provided lots of useful information about the city. The service was extremely friendly and professional.
The flat has plenty of space (with two large bedrooms), and everything was in a good condition).
Would definitely go back for a stay the next time in Budapest.
The apartment was very nice and the location excellent. Thanks for a great stay.
Great Hosts, Great Location!
This was my first trip to Budapest and I stayed in the apartment for 3 days. It was a great place to explore the city from. The apartment itself was more than enough for one person, but definitely great for friends or family traveling together. Restaurants, shops and public transport all within walking distance. Marton and Peter were fantastic and helped with things to do and see. I'd definitely stay again.
Excellent location. Apartment is cosy. Hosts are nice, friendly and helpful.
Thanks to Budapesting.com we had a great stay in Hungary's capital city.
The accommodation is very close to public transportation and local shops. The rooms are very clean and the kitchen is fully equiped.
But the best thing about this place was the friendly host. He told us about the best things to see and do in Budapest and helped us not to get lost.
Good experience with King's Court
It was fantastic time that I had in budapest but without our great hosts that wouldn't be possile. The location is fantastic so close to restaurant, shopping centers, bars. It is very easy access to the public transportation. The accommodation itself meet the city standard, a nice size of kitchen that you can cook. However, a bathroom is quite small. The court has the fast wireless internet connection. The two very helpful hosts always provided us with all the useful information about the city and everything. Thank you very much we had a great time ! Definately will stay there again in the future.

A Great Stay in Budapest
Marton and Peter,
Thankyou for your hospitality during our stay. It was exemplary.
Your welcome and orientation was one of the best we have experienced. We loved that we were able to contact to get directions when we needed them.
We loved the location. It was close to all transport and best of all to Oktogon and that street there you told us about with the great eating places. The weekly transport pass was a great idea and worked for us brilliantly.
The accommodation was clean and warm. The bedrooms were fine the kitchen was all we needed and the lounge are was pleasant though maybe a little small. Having said that, we didn't go on holidays to sit in a lounge all day. :)
The building is great and had loads of character and after learning something of the history of Budapest, we could see where the building and apartment may have been involved.
Thank you again. We will recommend Kings Court to any of our friends who will travel your way. We would definitely like to return. Budapest is an amazing city and was a highlight of our vacation.

Great Hosts and Great Stay
Our stay in Budapest was made so much more enjoyable thanks to the efforts of the two young hosts Peter and Marton. Peter met us with a wonderful smile and greeting at the train station and facilitated our transfer to the apartment – using their company care and calling for an extra taxi when our luggage proved too much.
Then Marton and Peter gave us an really friendly, detailed, informative and extremely useful briefing on Budapest’s best tourist site, haw to travel about and the best places to dine as well as filling us in on local matters. It was like we were being met and assisted by old friends. In particular their advice about the best sites to visit and where to eat was totally spot on. Thanks to their advice we discovered Budapest really has some of the best food in Europe available – and we totally enjoyed 5 great restaurants with superb food (including great roast goose) all located together about 4 minutes away. Peter also provided an excellent guide service to show us around on our first day, laying an excellent base for our further exploration of Budapest.
The apartment was located in what we felt was the ideal location for tourists who wanted to have easy access to public transport – the excellent tram was about 3 minutes and the subway about 7 minutes away – their use made easy thanks to the information and advice from Peter and Marton.
The apartment of course is old (like Budapest) but it is well equipped and its very age added to its charm. The beds were very comfortable and both bedrooms really were large real bedrooms with lots of space and great heating. The sitting and TV area was small but comfortable and in any case there is just too much to do in Budapest to sit around at home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. The bathroom shower was a bit small but adequate with plenty of lovely hot water.
We would recommend this as a great place to stay in Budapest – and we are planning to stay there again.
we stayed at King's Court for 3 days the end of December and I can only recognize the appartment to everybody.
Really well located, in the heart of the city and we were welcomed in an extremely satisfying way.
The appartment was clean and appropriate and we found even some coffee in the morning, which was quite an agreable surprise :)
I can only recommend this place to everybody.
cheers and enjoy Budapest :)

It was our third vacations in Budapest in 2009. First and third time we stayed at King's Court. The flat is magnificient, very pleasent, calm, clean and very warm :) It is locate near to subway, tram, buses and it is close to city center. It takes you few minutes to get to most popular and magnificent historical monuments and most famous tourism atractions. We strongly advise you to stay at King's Court, you will spend there a unforgettable time!

Very nice place to stay in Budapest.
The overall experience in staying in King's Court is very good. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. You can find there nice kitchen with everything you need to cook some meal.
The best advantage of this place is the location, near the city center. In every place we can go on foot. Near the apartment You can find a lot of shops and restaurants.
Marton and his mother are very helpful in every aspects of your visit in Budapest.
great apartment :)
I stayed here a few nights while i was in Budapest. the apartment is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. The biggest bonus is the location. Located right in the centre, everything is within walking distance. Marton and Peter are also very helpfull and always willing to do whatever they can to make your trip more enjoyable. Would have no problem recommending this to anyone.
In Budapest like at home
Nice apartment in the very center of Budapest. We could reach every interesting place by feet. Well equiped kitchen (with the bottle of hungarian wine for us in the frige), comfortable room. Marton (the owner), explained us, how to get to King's Court by car, and told, what to see, where to eat an so on. Really the great place.
Perfect appartment for up to 4 persons
I stayed at King's Court for 2 nights. It' a perfect place to stay in Central
Budapest. 2 large bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, near Liszt Ferenc ter. I
enjoyed the hospitality of the owners, the appartment and the district. Highly

A good base for exploring Budapest
The best thing about King's Court was Marton :) The day we arrived, he gave us a really extensive briefing about Budapest. The most comprehensive introduction we've ever gotten, even better than a one-day tour! He gave us insider tips & steered us away from rip-offs or possibly uncomfortable situations. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on. He even gave us a complementary bottle of wine.
The location was awesome! 2 mins away from the all-important 4&6 trams, 5 mins away from the Oktogon stop & 1 min away from a bus to Parlament. Zoltan, right in front, has super yummy gyros. While a pastry place, a convenience store, a 24hr stop are all downstairs. Even a milliner if you are so inclined.
The King's court apartment though IS a bit small. Sure the rooms are large enough, the shared living areas get a bit cramped once you have to split the space with strangers. Plus, unless all you do is stand under the shower head, the shower is really small. And the water heater is an old, temperamental fogey.
Still, those were VERY minor inconveniences compared to the over-all experience. All in all, it made a cozy, convenient & secure home away from home. Definitely highly recommended!
istanbul / TURKEY
much better than a hotel room
that was my second connect with Marton. this time I stayed in a private room at King's court for 4 nights. the building is centrally localized , courtyard is nice , and hungarian people live there also. the apartment has all facilities you need .. room is big enough and well equipped . the only problem, each time for enter or exit you have to use 4 keys (room, apartment, courtyard door and main gate... :))
shortly, I reccomend for single or small groups..

Great Apartment in Budapest
I stayed 3 weeks at two different apartments, King's Court and Astoria and both places exceeded my expectations. Both apartments have full kitchen with free coffee and tea and even a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, free laundry,(soap included), free WiFi and Satallite TV. At King's Court I was just a five minute walk from all the restaurants at List Ferenc Ter near Octogon Metro. The Apartment at Astoria was right next to Astoria Metro and the Dohany Synagogue, and a short walk to the central Market or Chain Bridge. There I had a great time exploring all the great restaurants and cafes in the Jewish Quarter. The management, Marton and Susan were extremely helpful with everything and provided me with maps, Timeout guides, and their own personal suggestions on places to see and great restaurants to try. They were also very happy to give me directions and instructions for using the metro and trams in the city. I highly recommend either apartment and hope to visit again soon.
Great location for travellers
I actually stayed in two properties in Budapest which are both managed by budapesting.com, over a 5 day period: The first with my son and the second on my own.
Both properties were located very centrally and were very well furnished and stocked. They were well heated and generally very comfortable.
The managers were exceptionally helpful to us, with respect to advice about sights to see, directions, mapping and even with unrelated issues.
Airport pickup was very helpful.
We can thoroughly recommend these properties.
good price, good place
It was a really nice place, cool for the price, nice housekeepers (caring and helpful) and very good location! I can recommend this place! And Budapest is a very romantic place! :)
Just what I needed
I rented a flat in the Jewish Quarter courtesy of Marton et al with Budapesting.com, and it was exactly what I wanted: clean, safe, centrally-located, and competitively priced. The fully-equipped flat is spacious, airy, inner courtyard garden, close to all the action on Andrassy Street, conveniently located near a vegetable market, decent restaurants, Liszt Conservatory, and also a supermarket.
Along with the flat, the kind folks at Budapesting arranged to pick me up at the airport, gave me recommendations for eats and itenerary, and even had a beer or three with me. They are a gregarious, charming lot, and I felt like they were old friends of mine.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this space to people who want more of a live-with-the-locals experience rather than a pricey hotel. When I return to Budapest, I will ask for the exact same location.
Great Inexpensive Apartment in Good Location
Four of us stayed together in the King's Court for a weekend, and really couldn't have been happier with it. It's in a good, fairly central location, near plenty of good restaurants and bars, and public transit is easily accessible. The apartment itself isn't enormous, but the bedrooms were large and the kitchen was more than enough for this type of stay.
The staff was incredibly helpful getting us oriented in a new town, providing maps and information, as well as a lot of great personal advice about where to go and what to see. They were also very accommodating with our odd arrival and departure times, which is not so common with apartments.
Altogether, this was a great rental experience. We were initially looking at apartments just to save a bit of money compared to nearby hotels, but having a little bit more space, a kitchen, etc, made the trip a lot more comfortable. We'd definitely do it again.
excellent accommodations and great location. would go back there. morton from budapesting is a great asset
New York City
Everything was great! the apartment was perfect - clean, affordable, loved the laundry, and it's in a very convenient location. Budapest was beautiful, we saw all the big sights on castle hill, toured the jewish quarter, went to the house of terror, and hit up three baths. The food everywhere we went was delicious. the fruit farmers market right by the apartment was a nice surprise...and the HUGE hungarian food market by the river was amazing.
We stayed with BUdapesting for one night and made excellent experiences.
A quiet staying
I loved my staying in Budapest also because of the location of the house. It
was central, easy to find from the train station and affordable also. I loved the
fact that no one bugged us during our stay, felt like a new home, away from
home. We had all we needed in the house, on the street there were lots of
stores to buy food from... It was great.
Overall nice stay
Service was good - we got good advice about local places to go to, and a transportation to and from the airport. For the price, it was a nice place to stay compared to what else we could have gotten. The neighborhood could be a little sketchy sometimes (i.e. there was a robbery in the middle of the night across the street that woke us up). Also, the shower was a little difficult to use (balance of hot, warm, cold water).
My husband & I stayed here about 5 nights, place is new, clean & well-kept. Looking out of the window allows you to view the whole stretch of street. Marton & Peter, our landlord =) was a superb great help. They actually sat down with us & went through all the places we could go on our own plus explain to us how the public transport went. We would be so lost without them. Love the fact that we can use the kitchen & the washing machine. Downside, no television & the stove is a old. Upside free wireless broadband & personal, warm friendly owners! Plus if you rent just a room, you get to meet other travellers!
From staying here, I got a good feeling about Budapest
This apartment is in a central location, is good value and is run by a very
professional, enterprising, accomodating guy. He spoke several languages
fluently and even gave me a bottle of wine when I arrived! He also gave me
maps with the attractions etc. and the password for the free wireless
Even though I was out and around most of the time, I generally had the
apartment to myself during the four days that I spent there. It’s reasonably
spacious, is on the first floor (as I recall), is clean and well maintained, and
has a kitchen, a bathroom and fresh towels at one's disposal. My bed was
comfortable, which ensured a good night's sleep. The apartment is quiet,
and is in pretty surroundings (I remember lots of flowers on the balconies
overlooking the central patio of the appartment block and the sun shining
there). The door and kitchen window looked onto the central patio; the
bedroom windows looked onto a side-street.
General location: it’s 4 minutes walk from the Oktogon Square, which has a
Metro station, cash ATM, and a taxi stop (this was just outside Burgerking
- with taxis that don’t rip you off, like many of those in the vicinity of the
bigger hotels and main railway station). Most of the tourist sights are only a
few metro stops away, with trains coming every few minutes.
The purpose of my visit to Budapest was work-related with some leisure
time. I’ll definitely be staying here on my next visit to Hungary.
