This was perfect for me and my buddy. This isn't the largest apartment, but it's clean, with all the necessary amenities. The location is at one of the major intersections in Pest (the Eastern side of the city), which makes getting around quick and easy. The host (Marton) is very friendly and helpful, and will provide advice on places to visit and how to get there. Recommended.

I had the best time at this apartment. Already lived in Budapest a couple of years ago before this second visit, so I knew this location was great in advance. Here you can have access by walking distance to most of the attractions, museums, monuments, social life, really nice and even if you want to go a bit further, it is also a very short walking distance (less than 5 min) from the subway, tram or bus so you can go anywhere you want between Buda and Pest.
We were also very well welcomed, maps were provided, clean towels and sheets and the house was very clean. The cuisine was totally equipped so we only needed to worry about groceries, and by the way, supermarkets with fresh food are also super close. It is also very big! Perfect for a family trip or to travel with a group os friends.
I would definitely come back!

Rooms are big and clean, the apartment has everything you need. The owners are absolutely nice and kind, always available for any requests or suggestions. The apartment is situated in a beautiful building, only 5-10 minutes far from the city centre and from places where to hang out in the evening.

I really enjoyed staying at this apartment. Apart from very high standards of cleanliness, the apartment was very tastefully furnished and the kind owners were very prompt and attentive to ensuring that my stay was comfortable. The price was great and the apartment exceeded my expectations in every way (heating, hi-speed wifi, cleanliness, etc.). Staying at the Budapesting apartments made my visit to Budapest extremely enjoyable. If I ever visit the city again, I will most definitely want to stay at King's Court apartment.

Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in October 2011
I've had the pleasure of staying in this apartment during a visit to Budapest for 3 nights. The room was clean and had everything I wanted during my stay. Despite being in the middle of the city, with shopping and entertainment venues mere minutes away on foot, it was still calm enough to have a good night sleep, because of being tucked away on the other side of the busy main street. And if you were feeling lazy, the apartment is right next to the metro station, as well as bus and tram lines.
I enjoyed my stay a lot in Budapest. The city has many things to see and do, but a large part of that joy was due to this apartment and to Marton from budapesting.com. Thanks a lot for a wonderful time, and I'll be sure to stay here on my next visit. -

My sister and I stayed at King's Court in May, 2011, so I'm rather tardy in reviewing. The location is excellent, right near the Oktogon, stores, restaurants, and the #4 & 6 trams. The apartment has two good-sized bedrooms and a nice kitchen. Small communal area, but it was all we needed. Marton is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful in giving ideas of places to see. The only negative is that the bathroom could use some updating. Other than that, King's Court was an excellent stay.

Left on 10/27/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Saludos.

Left on 08/19/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We enjoyed our 12 days at Kings Court. The apartment is very well located near Oktogon Station. There is a grocery store across the street called CBa that has everything you might need. There is also a farmer's market about a block away with fresh produce, meat and a nice bakery. There are plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance on andrassy. The apartment has everything you might need. The kitchen is easy to cook in, but could use sharper knives. The entire apartment is fitted out in Ikea and reminded us of the Ikea showroom two bedroom, but with high ceilings and vintage features. We loved being in a building with locals, the neighbors were really nice. For the price, I doubt you could do better in Budapest. The apartment isn't perfect, the ceilings are stained, the floors creak and the bathroom is in need of a re-do. Still, it was nicer than we expected for the price we paid. Don't forget to bring cash. The Budapesting.com website said they accept any type of credit card, but they only accept cash. We never met Peter or Marton. The very sweet girl who met us spoke only a few words of English. We had to go to the aTM and take out the max on several cards to pay her in cash, then had to wait until the next day to get a receipt from Marton's sister. We also never got a bottle of wine. On the website it says check out is at 11:00am. Be ready early though, the owner's sister showed up at 10:00am and let herself in without ringing the bell. We told her we would be ready by 11:00am as that was the checkout time posted. She said "no problem" but then sat at the dining room table waiting for us to go. If the check in and check out would have gone more smoothly I would have given King's Court five stars.

I stayed here a while ago, and never got around to filling this out, yet haven't forgotten that I did enjoy staying at this apt. This was my first time to Budapest, and I ended up coming alone. I had arranged in advance to be picked up at the airport (additional fee) which was great. One of the owners picked me up, and gave me some city advice. The location ended up being very convenient. All in all, I thought that this was a great value for what was provided.

The King's Court Double room is perfect for one or two persons. It is a cute little room, with a desk, fouton chair, double bed and wardrobe. The lounge is a bit small-but cosy with a nice couch and tv. The kitchen has all appliances, instant coffee, tea, etc, with a nice table to sit at in the hallway. The bathroom is clean and there is a laundry machine, hair dryer and iron available. Wifi is also available at the flat. There are extra blankets and toilets, and the apartment is well heated. It was very clean and felt like home within no time. I had the flat to myself for 2 nights, then shared the flat with another guest for the rest of my visit. This was fine as each room has its own locked door. The area is very safe. There are loads of tea houses, shops and cafes close by (although im not a fan, there is a starbucks on the corner-which is a good way to remember where the apartment is located). there is a Spar market close by and a vegetable market around the corner. Being a vegan I was very happy to discover that a great vegan restaurant was a 7 minute walk from the apartment (I ate there most nights!) the flat is very easy to get to from the airport-it is about a 10 minute walk to the Oktogon Metro station, with plenty of bus and tram cars passing nearby. While the area is quite a buzz-with plenty of people out and about (so its safe to walk home at night), the flat was actually rather quiet! The neighbors were also very friendly. So in general, i would definitely recommend staying in the flat (even if i was a bit confused on how to drop off my key when i was leaving) Oh I am was a single female traveler.
Morton, his mom and her friends were very friendly and helpful in regards to checking in and checking out. There were options for pick up to and off at the airport. I have already recommended this place to my friends. -

Left on 05/10/2011 for a stay in August 2010
Due to Marton's absence, there was some confusion with regards to our airport collection and the number of nights/number of people we had booked however this was easily resolved without too much hassle and a group of us got settled at Kings Court for a few nights before heading to a festival.
Kings Court felt halfway between a backpacker hostel and a friend's place; it had everything we needed but was quite basic and had a 'help yourself' feel to it - i.e we made our own beds, washed the towels and bathmat etc and each bedroom could be locked as the property can accommodate different groups of travellers. However, this was what we were expecting and we therefore felt Kings Court was great value for money and far preferable to staying in a backpackers.
The property was well located within Budapest and we were safe wondering around the area day or night.
The only negatives about the property were some cleanliness issues: the squishy wet bathmat that hadn't been washed in goodness knows how long, dirty cups/plates etc, and the fact that other travellers we didn't know had keys to the property and, when we arrived back after having a wander the first night, found them in the property collecting their luggage. It was a bit awkward and we were grateful they didn't steal any of our belongings.
Should we return to Hungary we'd stay at Kings Court again. -

This apartment is a great place to stay in Budapest and will really help you experience the city as a local. Budapest is not cheap and the majority of the hotels are located near tourist districts. This lets you cheaply stay like a local and gain a better understanding of the city. I found this apartment online and was more than pleased with the location, the amenities and the cost. Best of all, the hosts were quick to respond to email and very helpful when checking in and out. Highly recommend!

The fine folks at Budapesting didn't just provide me with a clean, affordable, and centrally-located flat, they went out of their way to help me feel welcome and were always available to answer questions and help with requests.
I happened to be in town working on a travel guide and Marton, Peter, and Suzie all offered their expertise on a wide range of subjects from Hungarian culture to Hungarian history, as well as where the best local spots for food and drink can be found. They also took me on a fascinating tour of Lake Balaton, a trip I will never forget and highly recommend!
Honestly, whether you're looking for an exceptional place to lay your head or an authentic Hungarian experience complete with three of the country's most knowledgeable and generous souls, Budapesting is the only way to go. -

Near of public transports (Metro/Bus).

It's also near of shops and restaurants, no need to provide what to eat.
We really thought we lived here since a while.
It was very convenient to be autonomous.

My wife and I spent four weeks at King's Court in November and December 2010. We enjoyed our stay very much.
First, the owners - Marton, Peter, and Suzie - were delightful and quite helpful. They were also available whenever we had a problem (loss of internet, etc.), and they fixed the problems immediately.
The apartment is spacious. The bedrooms are very large and the heaters worked well. The kitchen is more than adequate and well equipped. Also, the owners did a wonderful job of providing many of the basics for living - plenty of laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, etc. There was a broom, a mop, and even a vacuum cleaner. We appreciated these things the longer we stayed.
But the best thing about the apartment is the location - on Kiraly a block from Erzebet Krt. This is the heart of the city, and buses and trams are right out the front door. There is a wonderful bakery directly across the street and a small grocery less than half a block away.
The only negatives we found were the bathroom and the salon. The shower stall is small and the curtain tended to cling to the body when washing. The salon is also small and cramped.
We really enjoyed our stay at King's Court. It was a great base from which we could explore this beautiful city.

It was incredibly comfortable, close to everything and provided a great opportunity to see the city in a different way. I booked a few days before arriving and was able to rent a room in the apartment. Marton's flexibility and willingness to go out of the way to help and provide info was much appreciated. His apartments really helped to make my Budapest visit easy and memorable. I would highly recommend this to anyone! The location was central to everything and the restaurant downstairs was great. The apartment was adequate to our families needs having a separate bedroom and living areas with other beds in the main living rooms. It was also clean and tidy. For the price we paid it was great and the extra service provided by Marton and Peter was a nice personal touch. I would recommend it to others who are considering staying in Budapest

This is the second time I stayed at one of Marton's hotel/apartments. There is plenty of room, and Marton (and his partner Peter) provide excellent service. The american traveler should understand that this isn't a typical hotel; it is an apartment. Some people might be put off by the fact that it is in an apartment building, but I like the fact that I can feel like I'm living like a resident of the city. Downstairs is a bakery, and very nice restaurants are within 5-10 minutes walking distance (depending upon whether you hurry or stroll!). It is also close to andrassy Blvd. which puts you in the middle of the major sites of the city.

The opportunity to be a guest at the King's Court Apartment on my recent
trip to Budapest was a very nice experience. While Marton was out of
the country, I was greeted by Peter upon arrival. He carried my luggage
up the stairs for me which was a great help. We then sat down at the
kitchen table where he provided a map of the city, suggested historical
landmarks to visit and made restaurant recommendations. The apartment
was very well situated - a five minute walk from the opera house (I
attended Tosca on April 24th), a short walk to the Oktogon metro stop
which I used frequently, a short distance to the Liszt Ferenc ter and
the many restaurants. The kitchen has been updated with granite
countertops and a nice refrigerator. Since I was traveling solo, it was
important to feel safe and I definitely felt safe in this apartment.
Also, I met some of the neighbors - two young college students who were
lovely.
Marton and Peter certainly contributed to the enjoyment of my

for which I'm most grateful and Peter assisted me upon

Left on 05/11/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We stayed at the King's Court apartment for about a week in April. We were coming from Vienna and going to Prague after Budapest. I have to tell I liked Budapest the most, as it is truly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe (have seen many places in Europe before). We were very lucky to be hosted by the budapesting.com and Marton, as he gave us the best tips and recommendations. Upon arrival he planned with us our stay and we followed his route, which let us to explore all the beauties of Budapest and the Danube Bend - Eger... The apartment is perfect, the boyler has been fixed, as the termostator has been changed, so we had no problem with the hot water. The full kitchen, the ability to use the laundry, the available free coffee and tea and all the other small extras made our stay very enjoyable. Marton is a great host and Budapesting is the place to stay in Budapest.

However, Marton is really friendly and helpful. -

We spent a very nice time in this apartment in Budapest, we enjoyed the rooms' size, the complete equipment in the kitchen and Marton is a very nice person who gave us interesting information about the city!
However, we regret that the shower wasn't that easy to use.
But still, we recommend this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again!

A nice and fully equipped apartment, with anything
you might need, including a full kitchen and a
washing machine.
Even the smaller room of the two is spacious and
more than enough for a couple.
The location is very convinient as well, located 5
minutes from a metro station.
The host Marton (and so is his partner Peter whom
we also met) is very nice and helpful, and he
invested some of his time to sit down with us and
help us choose the places we would go to, and
recommended some places to eat at.
I would definitely stay there again if I wanted to
visit Budapest for the second time. -

Left on 03/27/2010 for a stay in March 2010
As my second stay in Budapest, this is the icing on the cake! My brother and
I had 10 days in central Europe, and now I regret not staying past 3 days in
Budapest.
Marton and Peter provided an unmatched welcome into the city! They sat
down for an hour getting to know what we liked and answering questions on
how to truly enjoy our visit. Having travelled quite extensively in my day,
I've never had a local or concierge reveal all the 'secret goods' about a city.
Usually you're pointed to touristy restaurants and expat bars. Without fail,
we tried almost every restaurant and night scene they recommended, and all
were astonishing. Maybe Hungarian cuisine is just that phenomenal, but we
were always walking around with happy stomachs. Read up on ruin pubs
and you'll get the local flavor of nightlife, too!
The apartment itself couldn't be more central, too. Steps away from
Andrassy Utca (near the opera house / House of Terror), we barely found
the need to take public transport. Comfortable rooms (the heat was a
saving grace on a few cold nights), quick internet, well-stocked kitchen,
clothes washer - better accomodations than any hotel, and at the right
price. We felt right at home when we needed a breather to relax. Thanks for
inviting us into your home and culture. Definitely a must for visiting one of
the most incredible cities in Europe!

Great location in centre of the city. Just around the corner of well known squere-Oktogon.
Few minutes to metro station and tram.
In the apartment you can find clean and spacious rooms, full equipment kitchen, comfortable beds, wi-fi, tv, bathroom and everything you need. Good place for family with kids.
Marton - the landlord- was very helpful with planning what to do and see in Budapest.

It is very easy access to the public transportation. The accommodation itself meet the city standard, a nice size of kitchen that you can cook. However, a bathroom is quite small. The court has the fast wireless internet connection. The two very helpful hosts always provided us with all the useful information about the city and everything. Thank you very much we had a great time ! Definately will stay there again in the future.

Left on 01/28/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Marton and Peter,
Thankyou for your hospitality during our stay. It was exemplary.
Your welcome and orientation was one of the best we have experienced. We loved that we were able to contact to get directions when we needed them.
We loved the location. It was close to all transport and best of all to Oktogon and that street there you told us about with the great eating places. The weekly transport pass was a great idea and worked for us brilliantly.
The accommodation was clean and warm. The bedrooms were fine the kitchen was all we needed and the lounge are was pleasant though maybe a little small. Having said that, we didn't go on holidays to sit in a lounge all day. :)
The building is great and had loads of character and after learning something of the history of Budapest, we could see where the building and apartment may have been involved.
Thank you again. We will recommend Kings Court to any of our friends who will travel your way. We would definitely like to return. Budapest is an amazing city and was a highlight of our vacation.

Bangkok ThailandGreat Hosts and Great Stay
Left on 01/21/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Our stay in Budapest was made so much more enjoyable thanks to the efforts of the two young hosts Peter and Marton. Peter met us with a wonderful smile and greeting at the train station and facilitated our transfer to the apartment – using their company care and calling for an extra taxi when our luggage proved too much.
Then Marton and Peter gave us an really friendly, detailed, informative and extremely useful briefing on Budapest’s best tourist site, haw to travel about and the best places to dine as well as filling us in on local matters. It was like we were being met and assisted by old friends. In particular their advice about the best sites to visit and where to eat was totally spot on. Thanks to their advice we discovered Budapest really has some of the best food in Europe available – and we totally enjoyed 5 great restaurants with superb food (including great roast goose) all located together about 4 minutes away. Peter also provided an excellent guide service to show us around on our first day, laying an excellent base for our further exploration of Budapest.
The apartment was located in what we felt was the ideal location for tourists who wanted to have easy access to public transport – the excellent tram was about 3 minutes and the subway about 7 minutes away – their use made easy thanks to the information and advice from Peter and Marton.
The apartment of course is old (like Budapest) but it is well equipped and its very age added to its charm. The beds were very comfortable and both bedrooms really were large real bedrooms with lots of space and great heating. The sitting and TV area was small but comfortable and in any case there is just too much to do in Budapest to sit around at home. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. The bathroom shower was a bit small but adequate with plenty of lovely hot water.
We would recommend this as a great place to stay in Budapest – and we are planning to stay there again.

The best thing about King's Court was Marton :) The day we arrived, he gave us a really extensive briefing about Budapest. The most comprehensive introduction we've ever gotten, even better than a one-day tour! He gave us insider tips & steered us away from rip-offs or possibly uncomfortable situations. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on. He even gave us a complementary bottle of wine.
The location was awesome! 2 mins away from the all-important 4&6 trams, 5 mins away from the Oktogon stop & 1 min away from a bus to Parlament. Zoltan, right in front, has super yummy gyros. While a pastry place, a convenience store, a 24hr stop are all downstairs. Even a milliner if you are so inclined.
The King's court apartment though IS a bit small. Sure the rooms are large enough, the shared living areas get a bit cramped once you have to split the space with strangers. Plus, unless all you do is stand under the shower head, the shower is really small. And the water heater is an old, temperamental fogey.
Still, those were VERY minor inconveniences compared to the over-all experience. All in all, it made a cozy, convenient & secure home away from home. Definitely highly recommended! -

I stayed 3 weeks at two different apartments, King's Court and Astoria and both places exceeded my expectations. Both apartments have full kitchen with free coffee and tea and even a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, free laundry,(soap included), free WiFi and Satallite TV. At King's Court I was just a five minute walk from all the restaurants at List Ferenc Ter near Octogon Metro. The Apartment at Astoria was right next to Astoria Metro and the Dohany Synagogue, and a short walk to the central Market or Chain Bridge. There I had a great time exploring all the great restaurants and cafes in the Jewish Quarter. The management, Marton and Susan were extremely helpful with everything and provided me with maps, Timeout guides, and their own personal suggestions on places to see and great restaurants to try. They were also very happy to give me directions and instructions for using the metro and trams in the city. I highly recommend either apartment and hope to visit again soon.

Both properties were located very centrally and were very well furnished and stocked. They were well heated and generally very comfortable.

Airport pickup was very helpful.

I rented a flat in the Jewish Quarter courtesy of Marton et al with Budapesting.com, and it was exactly what I wanted: clean, safe, centrally-located, and competitively priced. The fully-equipped flat is spacious, airy, inner courtyard garden, close to all the action on Andrassy Street, conveniently located near a vegetable market, decent restaurants, Liszt Conservatory, and also a supermarket.
Along with the flat, the kind folks at Budapesting arranged to pick me up at the airport, gave me recommendations for eats and itenerary, and even had a beer or three with me. They are a gregarious, charming lot, and I felt like they were old friends of mine.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this space to people who want more of a live-with-the-locals experience rather than a pricey hotel. When I return to Budapest, I will ask for the exact same location. -

Left on 10/26/2009 for a stay in October 2009
Four of us stayed together in the King's Court for a weekend, and really couldn't have been happier with it. It's in a good, fairly central location, near plenty of good restaurants and bars, and public transit is easily accessible. The apartment itself isn't enormous, but the bedrooms were large and the kitchen was more than enough for this type of stay.
The staff was incredibly helpful getting us oriented in a new town, providing maps and information, as well as a lot of great personal advice about where to go and what to see. They were also very accommodating with our odd arrival and departure times, which is not so common with apartments.
Altogether, this was a great rental experience. We were initially looking at apartments just to save a bit of money compared to nearby hotels, but having a little bit more space, a kitchen, etc, made the trip a lot more comfortable. We'd definitely do it again. -

Service was good - we got good advice about local places to go to, and a transportation to and from the airport. For the price, it was a nice place to stay compared to what else we could have gotten. The neighborhood could be a little sketchy sometimes (i.e. there was a robbery in the middle of the night across the street that woke us up). Also, the shower was a little difficult to use (balance of hot, warm, cold water).

Left on 09/21/2009 for a stay in June 2009
This apartment is in a central location, is good value and is run by a very
professional, enterprising, accomodating guy. He spoke several languages
fluently and even gave me a bottle of wine when I arrived! He also gave me
maps with the attractions etc. and the password for the free wireless
internet.
Even though I was out and around most of the time, I generally had the
apartment to myself during the four days that I spent there. It’s reasonably
spacious, is on the first floor (as I recall), is clean and well maintained, and
has a kitchen, a bathroom and fresh towels at one's disposal. My bed was
comfortable, which ensured a good night's sleep. The apartment is quiet,
and is in pretty surroundings (I remember lots of flowers on the balconies
overlooking the central patio of the appartment block and the sun shining
there). The door and kitchen window looked onto the central patio; the
bedroom windows looked onto a side-street.
General location: it’s 4 minutes walk from the Oktogon Square, which has a
Metro station, cash ATM, and a taxi stop (this was just outside Burgerking
- with taxis that don’t rip you off, like many of those in the vicinity of the
bigger hotels and main railway station). Most of the tourist sights are only a
few metro stops away, with trains coming every few minutes.
The purpose of my visit to Budapest was work-related with some leisure
time. I’ll definitely be staying here on my next visit to Hungary.
