The Bastion Apartment is housed in a typical Bauhaus building from the 1930's. It is newly renovated, furnished elegant, comfortably accommodates 1-8 people. It features an elevator, two bedrooms, one double bedroom and can be extended with an extra bed, and one twin bed room, can also be extended with an extra bed (the twin beds can be merged to form a double bed). The Bastion Apartment is a very cosy, quiet place in the heart of Budapest for up to 8 people. All the greatest attractions are within walking distance and all kinds of public transportation are just 2 minutes away. The apartment even affords views of Gellert hill's liberty sculpture. Located in the historic district of the city, you will be in the thick of the country’s cultural heritage. This charming area has pedestrian streets which are perfect for a relaxed wander through the city’s charming café’s where you can try famous Hungarian desserts. Within walking distance you have the Danube River, National Museum, Opera, Parliament and University. Budapest's famous thermal baths cannot be missed and are also walking distance. Stop by the Central Market and the Synagogue. Right next door there is a bakery, a hand-crafted chocolate shop, two restaurants, tea houses, pubs, and a grocery store.
All kind of public transportations are available in 1 minute walk, so you can catch the ride where you wish to.
If you happen to come by car, you can park on the street or in a secured underground parking place one block away.

Nous avons été très bien accueilli. check in et check out très simple. le propriétaire est sympa et nous à donné de bons conseils sur là ville à notre arrivée. nous recommandons cet appartement et nous y retourneront à notre prochain voyage à budapest .nous y étions avec un bb de 15 mois...

We liked these apartments very much. Akos was friendly and helpful. Apartments situated just five minutes to Ráday Street, full of restaurants. We've eaten gulyash even for breakfast :-)

You will be so glad you stayed in this apartment! With two bedrooms, it is spatious as well as immaculately clean and very well cared for. It is so beautifully decorated that I only wished I could take the owner home with me to decorate our home. The apartment is on a very quiet street for sleeping, yet steps away from a busy commercial area and very close, walking distance to all the sites in Budapest that we wanted to see. The location could not be better. The owner was a great pleasure to meet and work with. He is very flexible and patiently waited for us, as we were delayed. He met us on the street, helping us with our bags. He provided us with a map and spent all the time we needed to orient us to the city and make recommendations. He also graciously shipped (at his expense) our daughter's cell phone that she had forgotten. Staying at this apartment was an excellent experience, and I would return in a heartbeat the next time we are in Budapest! I recommend this apartment most highly - you will not be disappointed!! The apartment is ideally located close to the Central Market and trams / metros, only 5 - 10 mins. from the Danube. Restaurants, shops and takeaways within a few metres. The owner could not have been more helpful.
One tip - it does indeed have satellite TV, but with the exception of CNN, all the stations are dubbed into Hungarian (no subtitled channels), so take some books etc.! -

The service we received was of high standard. The host akos was very helpful and generous with his time to explain a few things to us about the city . The apartment was comfortable , beautifully decorated and very clean and very centrally located to all the closest attractions and transport facilities .

This warmly decorated and comfortable appartment is fantastic for a family of 4 or two couples. The location is excellent with a number of highlights within walking distance (food market) and the metro a short walk away. The owner akos was superb in the whole transaction and gave us great tips for the city! I would highly recommend this appartment to anyone going to Budapest!

1. very comfortable and cozy (great fork&spoon; lamp over kitchen table)
2. very clean
3. great location - recommend: dining in Cetral Market Hall - 5 min walk; at the evening need to step by to For Sale pub or go for a walk along Danube River - 3 min walk from the flat.
4. very friendly and halpful host - easy check-in and check-out, you no need to worry about city plan, it's available in a flat.

The Bastion B&B; is a perfect place to stay in Budapest. Right in the middle of the city centre, all the sights are within walking distance. The apartment is unbelievably beautiful,cozy and it exceeded all of our expectations. It's got a perfect size for two couples or a family. The host's warm welcome and introduction into the apartment and city was wonderful. Go there!

the apartment i stayed was in an exellent location, a short walking distance from major attractions and shopping strips.
the ownwer of the apartment was extremely helpful and welcoming, always appreciated upon arrival in a strange city.
