How to Reach Us:
Airport Frankfurt/Main, BAB 3 towards Würzburg-München, exit Hanau via B 43 A to the BAB 45 in the direction of Giessen-Dortmund. Exit Altenstadt and right on B 521 towards Büdingen. The next village is Düdelsheim (after about 3 km). Our house is not directly in the inner city of Büdingen, but rather in the Düdelsheim district.

The vacation apartment Glaubergblick is located in the Düdelsheim district of Büdingen, in the Wetteraukreis, in quiet location on the edge of the settlement with a view of the Glauberg mountain and its more than 7000 years of settlement history.
Unobstructed view over fields to the mountain, whose history ranges from the stone age to today.
In Mai 2011, the Archaeological Park and Museum of the Celts with its valuable findings out of Celtic tombs opened (see www.keltenwelt-glauberg.de)
Since 1994, newer excavations have been ongoing and crowned with great success; they are to be continued in the coming years, too.
Already before the opening of the park and museum, courses and guided tours had been offered.
Offers in the Vicinity
Düdelsheim is on a number of hiking and bike trails, which are becoming ever more popular. In 2004, on the occasion of the 1250th anniversary of the death and transportation of the saint from Mainz to Fulda, the Bonifatius-Route was opened with a large medieval festival.
This hiking path is used all-year by pilgrims, who are warmly welcomed in our village.
The Celt Bike Path and one of the Hessian Apple Wine and Fruit Meadow Routes go right past our house. The beginning of the Volcano Bike Path in Altenstadt-Lindenheim or Glauburg is only 2 km away, as well.
As a partner company of the Hessian Apple Wine and Fruit Meadow Route, we offer overnight stays as well as a “Hausschoppen” meal of own production.
Düdelsheim, which is more than 1200 years old, was named after a Franconian vassal, Tutilos, later known as Dudilesheim – and a good place for a longer term stay, too.
Surrounded by forests and fields with bike and hike paths and the Seemenbach, which is nice for the fisherman. There are also fishers’, shooters’ and sport’s associations as well as a riding sport area.
In Close Vicinity
The medieval town Büdingen and the lordly castle Ysenburg are quick to get to. Here, you find swimming pool, mini golf, fitness center and various cultural facilities. More information at Büdingen-Touristik!
Not to forget the Ronneburg which is close by and where medieval markets well worth a visit are held a few times each year.

Winter break from October 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011, during which time the apartment cannot be rented. Reservations for later dates still possible.
More travel info about Buedingen: Buedingen is a town on the eastern edge of the Wetterau region, in the state of Hesse. It is known for its largely intact medieval stronghold and its beautiful preserved timber-framed houses. The town of Buedingen and its originally moated castle are located at the foothills of the Vogelsberg Mountains. Both the castle and the old town were built on centuries-old oak planks, set up on beech props. Therefore the water level has to be kept relatively high so that no air can reach these foundations. The former accumulator manufacturer Sonnenschein, now part of an American company, is the largest employer in Buedingen, but many workers commute daily into the Rhine-Main region.
