Only half a mile from the beach and spectacular cliffs of Budleigh Salterton - an ideal base for a beach holiday, being only 10 minutes walk from the sea front, local shops, tea rooms and pubs. Private off-road parking.
It is ideally located for walking the Jurassic Coastline, taking in places like Beer, Lyme Regis, Seaton, Branscombe and Sidmouth. The Otter Estuary Nature Reserve is 20 minutes walk along the promenade and has abundant birdlife, together with a hide on either side of the river. There are paths to Otterton (2 miles) where the mill still grinds flour, and there is an excellent bakery, restaurant and craft gallery. The stunning botanical gardens at Bicton Park (3 miles) are complete with miniature railway. Exeter (10 miles) has a museum, underground passages, cathedral, while many other attractions are within easy reach.

When you book a cottage online you are always a little skeptical about the reality. No worries of that sort with this cottage. Clean, airy, well appointed and in a nice setting. A real bonus were the lovely owners who were charming and very helpful. Would have no hestitation in returning if we are in the locale.

We were made to feel very welcome and the cottage was beautifully kept. Even though we went during a week of rain, everything seemed of a sunny disposition at lilybrook cottage. The tobias restaurant in town was also very accommodating with lovely food. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very pleasant, helpful but unobtrusive hosts. Very well equipped cottage, immaculate and most comfortable. Beautiful bedroom where you can see the stars from the comfortable bed!
Budleigh Salterton is a lovely, old-fashioned seaside town, completely unspoiled and not at all touristy. Good selection of shops and restaurants and surrounding area is very pretty. We liked everything about our stay and have no negatives whatsoever. -

We visited Lilybrook Cottage in July 2011. The cottage is beautiful, nestled away in its own private surroundings.We found the cottage very well equipt and absolutely immaculate. The living room and bedroom look out onto a beautiful private cottage garden, which is a very tranquil place to sit at any time of day. The kitchen has everything you could possibly require and more, along with a downstairs cloakroom. The large bedroom with its extremely comfortable super king bed and on-suite bathroom along with an on-suite dressing room which houses double wardrobes. It is more than tastefully furnished and decorated. My husbands words were its the closest thing to heaven without dying!. The proprietors are at hand if needed and are lovely people to speak to. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away, as are the shops. So if you feel like an evening stroll, get some local fish & chips and taking them to sit on the many benches down by the beach then this is where you need to be.
We are returning again this year, and we can't wait.
