Brooklynfeels like home away from home
Left on 06/04/2013 for a stay in May 2013
I can't really say enough good things about this apartment, we stayed for 2 weeks and didn't want to leave. Sunny, clean, spacious, everything is just perfect. The area, Palermo Soho, has a very "Brooklyn" feel to it, like a real neighborhood with many new cafes and restaurants, not touristy at all.
Carlos is a great host and extremely helpful in getting you adjusted, i.e. when we needed to exchange money he met up with us and showed us the way, really great.
Tip:
bring cash !!! It makes all the difference, as there are 2 exchange rates in Ba, the official one and the "blue rate", which is twice as good. We changed money on the street 9 to 1 pesos for one dollar. (may 13)

Left on 05/08/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Coming to the land of tango was our dream of ours a long time. We loved the city and were lucky to stay in an apartment that exceeded our expectations. A great location, close to all the tango places we wanted to visit and in perfect condition. Nicely furnished, clean and with lots of light and a long balcony with views of the city. The owner was professional and helpful. Our satisfaction was complete. We will stay here again on our next visit

Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in June 2012
I stayed here for 6 weeks and wanted to stay longer. The place had a great location just a few blocks from the main nightlife. The bed was sooo comfortable. The furnishings were great, as were all the facilities. The building was secure. I would highly recommend it. Really spacious and really comfortable and modern. The host Carlos was very responsive and understands travellers needs exactly. He was also kind and considerate.

Left on 05/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Every great review you read here is absolutely true. The apartment is beautiful with no structural flaws, the neighborhood is exciting and safe, and Carlos is the perfect host. We have rented many apartments around the world and Urban Mexican is easily the most accommodating we have rented. Do not hesitate to rent this apartment for long or short stays (We were there 5 weeks). It's perfect to have the busy neighborhood at your fingertips with the noise blocked out when you get home - triple paned windows keep it quiet inside. You will not have to venture far for a wide variety of good eats. The pizzeria across the street is great. Around the corner is Don Niceto Parrilla where the steak is great and the prices unbeatable. Of course, Palermo Soho is loaded with all kinds of restaurants, boutiques and bars, and then there's Palermo Viejo one block north. We took buses everywhere (hoard your coins!). Something not to be missed is La Bamba every Monday night at Konex. And the horse races were fun to watch on a cool evening. All the 'downtown' sights are one bus ride away and you can get to Uruguay on the ferry from the port. Everything Buenos aires has to offer is easily accessible from this apartment. You will not be disappointed with your choice in this apartment. Thanks, Carlos!

I came to Buenos aires for a short stay to take a break and relax for a few days. It was my first visit to this city and I have to say that Buenos aires exceeded my expectations. A truly world-class city. The apartment was perfect, on a great location, and had everything I needed. The owner was professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

I travel to Buenos aires quite often and stay for long periods of time. I like to explore new neiboorhoods and new apartments. My friend and I stayed at Urban Mexican for over a week. The pictures capture the beauty and decoration of Urban Mexican, but the the feeling of excitement that permeates through the apartment was a wonderful pleasant surprise. We were very excited to have found such a nice place with such a wonderful host. We had a minor problem with wi-fi connection and Carlos Padin was prompt to return our call and solve it.
We will recommend to all our friends and plan to rent it when we come back this year. -

Left on 12/11/2011 for a stay in November 2011
My husband and I stayed in Carlos's apartment for a week in November. Carlos was very professional and extremely flexible, helpful and friendly. He was always ready to do an extra mile and to do things beyond what was originaly discussed. The apartment was reasonably priced, very clean, well equipped and maintained, modernly decorated and comfortable (what you see is what you get). Not to mention the great balcony to sit and enjoy morning coffee. The location was great too - close to supermarkets, grocery stores, restaurants, public transportation, ... We highly recommend it to anyone who plans to visit this charming city and would definitely stay in there again.
Thank you Carlos for making our stay a memorable one.

CanadaMy favorite apartment in Buenos aires
Left on 11/22/2011 for a stay in October 2011
I am a freelance graphic designer and I come to Buenos aires frequently as I find the city both creative and inspirational. I am a global nomad and able to work pretty much anywhere. This time, though, the problem was that I stayed in such a nice apartment in such a cool neighborhood that I found it difficult to get any work done. The apartment was just right in every aspect conceivable and the location had so many bars and restaurants that I found myself going out every single day and night during my 6-week stay. There is also a garment district right on the same avenue where the property is located, so I did a lot of shopping at great prices. The landlord was helpful and maintained the apartment clean at all times. This is the perfect place to stay in Buenos aires, property and location-wise. Highly recommended

Left on 10/11/2011 for a stay in September 2011
My girlfriend and I are from australia. My parents are from argentina so this is not my first visit. My girlfriend has Thai parents and this was her first visit, and she was absolutely delighted with the city and we both loved the apartment and location, with everything at our doorstep. The landlord was waiting for us at our arrival and provided all the info we needed for our visit, was polite and not intrusive at all. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished, quite comfortable in every aspect. There are bars and restaurants at every price range at walking distance, many of them open till late every single day. The avenue where the apartment is on is a garment district. Unless you are sightseeing, there is no need to venture downtown for shopping and entertainment. We found the property to be exactly what we needed and at the right price. We will definitely stay in the same apartment on our next visit.

Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Carlos Padin is a find! Both the person as well as his apartment-- Urban Mexican. Carlos was very personable and helpful, from the moment he welcomed us until we left over 2 months later. He is like a concierge and you can turn to him for help in all situations. Since we had no contacts in Buenos aires and we are retired folk, this gave us measure of security.
The apartment is reasonably priced and as lovely as the photos. Carlos is a creative person and it shows in the aesthetic detail of the apartment. It is fully serviced and except for food we did not need to spend money on any extras in the apartment. The location is excellent, on the edges of many of the trendy Palermo areas and yet not in the midst of them. Neighbors were also nice and quiet.
The only concern is that non-urban dwellers may be disturbed by the din of the street noise. We are used to it.
We are eagery waiting to return to Buenos aires and stay in one of Carlos's properties. -

There were a lot of good restaurants (great churrascarias) nearby and we had lunch and dinner in a different place for every meal. The quality and the prices were good and lower than in Brazil. The apartment was comfortable and Carlitos was very helpfull made sure we had everything we needed. We suggest this flat those visiting Buenos aires. Obrigado!

I stayed in the Urban Mexican apartment for a month last October. It is definitely an excellent choice for an extended stay in Buenos aires. The landlord, Carlos, was extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment was very clean, modern, and well maintained. It really exceeded my expectations and I felt it was a great value. The location is great too, everything you need is close by. It will definitely be my first choice the next time I'm in Buenos aires!

Great apartment, neighborhood and host. We stayed(3 weeks)in this cool, elegant pad and enjoyed every minute of it. Well decorated, spotlessly clean, and on a great location. Our host , Carlos, was professional and helped us in every way possible, making sure that our stay was unforgettable. The neighborhood is full of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. There is also a great garment district on avenida Cordoba, right next to the apartment. We definitely stay here again on our next visit!

We stayed in Carlos's apartment for a week in March. It was an unforgettable stay! Carlos was very professional, knowledgable, friendly, and extremely accommodating. He was also very accessible, which put us at ease (not that we needed to contact him for anything other than expressing our gratitude!)
The apartment was very well-maintained, and had absolutely everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and without incident. The location also couldn't be beat for the price we paid. While it was a slightly longer-than-expected walk to the Subte, it is located in one of the most exciting neighborhoods in the city. The Palermo area (namely Palermo Soho, where the apartment is located, and nearby Palermo Hollywood) abounds with restaurants, bars, and shops for all tastes and price ranges.
If (hopefully when) we got back to Buenos aires, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in this apartment again! -

I decided to vacation in Buenos aires argentina after the many wonderful things I heard about it from friends that had visited. I fell in love with Ba. I took my mom on this journey we had an excellent time. The apartment was exactly as portrayed online. Great balcony to sit and enjoy morning coffe. In a central location with plenty of clothing stores, supermaket around. Carlos was very helpful and provided us with information regarding Palermo and the surrounding neighborhoods. He informed us that Ba among many other things is know for their ice cream, he wanted to make sure we did not miss out so he had some waiting for us in the freezer. It was delicious. I would recomend Mexican Urban apartment to anyone that is planning to visit Ba. I plan on visiting again and will stay here if apartment is available. Than you Carlos for making our stay a memorable one.

The Urban Mexican apartment was a fantastic lodging experience. We never thought we could get such a great place for a decent price. The apartment was comfortable, nicely furnished and our host provided everything we needed in terms of information on places to visit and things to do. We used it as base, visiting several locations in argentina during our 3-week stay. The best thing about renting an apartment is that you don?t have to worry about chec king in and out everytime you visit another city or location. It even works out less expensive than a hotel. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this wonderful city.

We stayed at this apartment for nearly a month and enjoyed it very much. We used it as base to travel from and visited several parts of argentina during our stay. The apartment is 10 minutes by car to the domestic airport, which is handy considering the traffic in this wonderful and bustling city. Every time we returned to the apartment from a trip, we felt that we were coming home, as the unit is cozy and warm and has everything you need. We actually spent Xmas there. Carlos was helpful and friendly. We will stay here again when we come back to Buenos aires.

We had a fantastic time staying in this apartment. It was confortable, full of light and everything is a walking distance. There is a great butcher/grocery store on the corner. Argentina beef is world famous and after trying it we can say that its fame is well deserved.
The quality of produce is also exceptional. There are tons of restaurants, bars and the apartment is located on an avenue that is a garment district. Other than for sightseeing, there is no need to venture downtown. Highly recommended.

I came to Buenos aires for two weeks to visit my daughter who is attending college at the moment. The apartment was lovely and exactly what appeared in the pictures. Nicely decorated and very comfortable, with the addition of a long sunny balcony with deck chairs and canopy, great for relaxing anytime of the day. The neighborhood has everything you need, and has a charming old-world atmosphere. The landlord was professional and kind, making sure that our stay was as pleasant as possible.
I will definitely rent this apartment again when I return to Buenos aires. -

My wife and I are at the end of a 4-month stay at the Urban Mexican apartment. We are a retired couple from argentina who have been living in Sydney, Australia for over 30 years, and spend several months a year in Buenos aires every year since we retired. This is the first time we rent this apartment and it is by far the best apartment we have stayed at. Well furnished and decorated, clean and on a great location. Our landlord and host has been helpful and courteous. We will recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Buenos aires for either a short or long stay. The neighborhood has lots of great bars and restaurants (Sarkis was our favorite, best armenian food we have ever had) and lots of cultural activities; Tango nights at the Club armenio, open-air markets near Plaza Serrano on Sundays, to mention a few.

A very nice and clean apt. lots of natural light. Carlos the host is very accomodating and always attentive to your needs.
The only problem with it, is the location, in a very busy street, the traffic noise it's a bit much, it took us a couple of days to get use to it, the neighborhood is more commercial than residential, I prefer a quieter residential area, other then that it's a great and cherming place.
Thank you Carlos for your hospitality. -

Left on 12/16/2009 for a stay in November 2009
We stayed at this apartment for 8 weeks and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was recently renovated with modern furnishings and a very comfortable couch and bed, a nicely equipped kitchen and plenty of room to spread out for a short or long term stay.
Carlos, the landlord was very accommodating and checked with us weekly on our satisfaction of the stay. Anything we needed, Carlos was a phone call or email away and promptly responded. He truly was the icing on the cake.
The location is walking distance to Plaza Serrano which is surrounded by restaurants, pubs and shopping. Numerous bus lines run along Cordoba and Godoy Cruz and so easy to get around the city.
Grocery stores, laundry facilities, and bakeries are within 1/2 - 2 blocks from the apartment. Very convenient.
The only reason we are not rating 5 star was due to the road noise. HOWEVER, Carlos said his next project was to install double pane windows. If this takes place... 5 stars all the way and we'd highly recommend.
Enjoy your stay!
