The Centro area has recently benefited from pedestrianization of some streets like Reconquista, Suipacha and Tres Sargentos. This has led to the opening of new cafes and restaurants.
The area is very convenient for walking access to Puerto Madero, the shopping street of Florida and the main sights in the downtown area. It is also a very short cab ride away from Recoleta, Palermo and San Telmo. It is also a short walk from five out of the six metro lines of the city. The Retiro Station, from where you can catch trains to San Isidro and Tigre is a 10 min walk away. The Ferry Terminal for services to Uruguay is just a five minutes walk away.

We loved this apartment, it's comfortable airy and sunny with a great view of the Rio de la Plata and the famous buque bus should you feel like taking a quick trip to Uruguay!
The location is fantastic, close to Puerto Madero and Congreso, with easy access to public transportation and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. The location is superb - a couple of blocks from Puerto Madero with its popular restaurants and attractions; and in the other direction just a few blocks away from the main shopping streets of Buenos aires. Retiro bus / train station is within walking distance (or a very short cab ride) and there is a subte (underground) station within a couple of blocks. There are also a couple of banks on the same block and we found the cash machines very handy.
We felt that the apartment itself was very well kept and beautifully decorated. There's a kitchen, bedroom, living/dining room and bathroom as well as lots of storage space. Being quite high up in the building means there is less street noise than you'd usually get in the centre of Buenos aires and there's a lovely view of the river from the bedroom and dining room windows. We were so grateful that the wifi signal was clear and strong - we were able to have a number of very good Skype conversations with people back home.
The dual-language information cards left for us were really helpful, as were the Buenos aires guide books; and Leandro's father was so lovely and welcoming. The doorman, Ruben, was really nice too.
For a longer stay a washing machine might have been useful - but we found it easy enough to wash our clothes in the sink and dry them using the rails provided above the bath. There's probably a laundrette within walking distance too? The linen and towels were all provided, which was great.
We ordered empanadas and ice cream for delivery (bliss!) and they found the apartment very easily - no problems at all. The entryphone was occasionally a little temperamental to speak into but the buzzer worked perfectly so we knew instantly when a delivery had arrived. The lifts (elevators) were in great working order and the building was lovely and quiet.

We were on a round trip in argentina, and spent the first couple of days in a hotel, but on our return we decided to stay in a flat (for obvious cost reasons.) However we should have stayed in the flat all the time. The flat is charmingly decorated with many period feature, but also has the right amount of modern features. The flat is also conveniently located to most of the historic sites downtown and is well connected to the underground system as well. If you want to venture a little further, the porter (Ruben) will gladly help ordering a radio taxi.
The overall transfer (of keys, etc.) which was done through Carlos, Leandro's dad, was a pleasure and added to the personal experience. (Rather that than a management company.)
Overall, I cannot recommend this flat enough. It was a very pleasurable (and hassle free) experience. I have no hesitation to recommend this to my friends and family. And when I am in Buenos aires next, you know where to find me!

Es un apartamento cómodo para una pareja, fuimos con nuestra hija y utilizamos el sofá cama y nos fue bien, es limpio, responde a toda la descripción que Leandro hace del mismo. Me encantó la ubicación, está a dos cuadras de Puerto Madero, a cuatro de la calle Florida donde puedes hacer compras, cerca de la casa rosada, el obelisco, a media cuadra tiene parada una gran cantidad de colectivos que te llevan a Palermo, Recoleta, San Telmo, etc. Casi a cualquier lugar de Buenos aires donde quieras ir, también está cerca de la Linea B del Subte y de la Estación de Tren Retiro si quieren ir a Tigre, a dos cuadras del Buquebus si quieren ir a Uruguay. Leandro está siempre atento aunque vive en Londres por e-mail y su papá Carlos igualmente. Los encargados del edificio igualmente siempre están dispuestos a ayudarle especialmente el Sr. Ruben quien puede darles muchos datos para trasladarse. En fin lo recomiendo y de seguro si vuelvo y eso espero me hospedaría de nuevo allí, ya que el trato de estos señores te hace sentir cómodo, seguro y son buenos amigos, saludos y un abrazo a ellos.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment located in a historic building in downtown Buenos aires. We had no problems with keys, deposit, etc. Ruben, the doorman, was very helpful and kind. The apartment is close to public transportation and is located close to many historic sites. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.

Ideal apartment for a couple in an excellent location. Just between the microcentro of Buenos aires and the prestigious Puerto Madero neighbourhood. A metro station is a few hundred meters away and can connect you to almost everywhere in the city. Many buses and taxis circulate by as well.
The apartment can accommodate an extra child, but is less convenient since it requires opening a sofa-bed. The kitchen is small but well equiped. The booking was easy; Leandro and his father were honest and friendly and the concierge of the building was very helpful with tips and advices.
Overall, a good deal for the money. -

If one looks for an apartment centrally located in Buenos aires, then this is definitely the place to choose whether in town for business or just pleasure; within walking distance from Plaza de Mayo and all major traffic arteries of the city, shopping streets, as well as of the subte station (line B). The apartment is also close to Puerto Madero, an excellent location to take a walk, grab a coffee or have lunch/dinner in one of the numerous restaurants or (for the more adventurous ones) take the ferry to Uruguay. At the same time, you won't be bothered by city traffic, as the apartment is located on the 9th floor providing the necessary isolation from the city.
The owners have taken very good care in keeping the original style of the apartment, while equipping it fully with all modern appliances and the necessary maps and travel guides on Buenos aires. The rooms are spacious with ample storage room, while the two air-conditions were more than enough for heating the apartment (I visited Buenos aires in early august 2012, winter time in argentina). A very interesting touch relates to the books on argentina that one can find in the apartment; look for the excellent edition (in Spanish) containing the impressions on Buenos aires from a variety of people ranging from Le Corbusier to Madonna.
I cannot think of a more appropriate way of concluding this review other than thanking once more Leandro for making my stay in Buenos aires such a great experience and whom I hope to meet up again in my next visit to the country.

My dealings with Leandro and his father were very pleasant and the doormen in the building helpful and friendly.
The apartment is well located being only a short stroll to Puerto Madero and the ferry to Colonia in Uruguay. It's also close to the long distance bus terminal of Retiro. However because it is in the financial centre much is closed after business hours and in the weekend but it's central location makes for a short journey to San Telmo and Recoleta. Both subte and bus stops are very near.
What I liked best about the apartment was its spaciousness, the fairly new comfortable beds and although small the kitchen was well equipped. Being on the 9th floor it was full of light and reasonably quiet at night.
What I didn't like was that although we stayed 22 days the apartment was cleaned only once and I had one bath towel and one hand towel for 10 days. There were no tea towels in the kitchen, however there was a red towel hanging on the stove which was there when I arrived and still there when I vacated. The shelves in the dressing room, drawer on the desk in the living room and TV cabinet cupboard were full of stuff. Also there was a slight water leak in the bathroom so a sodden towel had to be permanently placed on the floor to soak it up.

On the cleaning issue, the apartment ad states that cleaning is done bi-weekly, so this was why the apartment was cleaned once during your stay as you stayed for three weeks. The kitchen towel was changed when the cleaning was done, but the replacement towel is a similar colour one, so it may have looked similar but it was actually a different one. Also, we provide with paper kitchen towels.
The water leakage in the bathroom was due to a faulty pipe and the issue has now been resolved. I have been renting this apartment for over 4 years now and this is the first time I had an issue with the pipes. So you may understand this is an issue that may happen in a normal rental property. However, I am sorry that this just happened when you were there and the inconvenience that might have caused to you.
Finally, I recently re-organized the contents in the TV cupboard and the dressing room, so now there is more space for people to use them.
All in all, I am glad these issues did not affect your stay too much and that you still found the apartment charming. I appreciate these comments to ensure that our service can be improved to the very best standards -

We rented this apartment for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It contained everything we needed including WiFi . It was comfortable and clean. As it was centrally located it was within easy walking distance to cafes , restaurants, foodstores and the subway.
On arrival we were met by Leandro's Father who showed us around the apartment. The doorman was also helpful and friendly.

Dealing with Leonardo and his father in his absence (in Ba)was great. On the internet everything was answered in a timeley and professional manner. The appartment is just as it appears in the picture, and actually it is even bigger than it looks. We were very confortable here arriving in the middle of a summer heat wave, and the appartment was well cooled with the a/C. The location was good, close to transportation if you needed, or within walking to a lot of sights, resturants and shops if you wanted. The only little negative is the kitchen, as it is very small. It's managable with all the emmenties, but only one person at a time! All in all though, we all can highly reccommend a stay here!

I had a very last minute trip to Buenos aires for only 5 days. Though only having time of two days to arrange an appartment inbetween flight-ticket purchase and leaving, Leandro, the landlord reacted very fast on my inquiry and made it possible for me to stay in the appartment.
The check-in with Leandro as well as the check-out with his kind father was easy and very nice.
The house where the appartment is in has a porter and the hallway is very looked after and clearn, just like the appartment.
The value for the price is very good. I loved staying in the appartment. It is decorated tastefully, there is enough space with a large bed-room and the living-room section. The kitchen is o.k. from the size and has everything you need. There is not so much space to e.g. roll-out a dough but then you could use the dining table for that.
The available internet connection (both wired or wireless) worked very well.
The bedroom has windows on two sides, so even though there is air-conditioning you can open both windows to get fresh air into the room easily.
As I was there in winter-time it was quite chilly with 3 degrees Celsius in the mornings. The heating by the airconditioners were sufficient.
Both from the bed-room as well as from the dining-table section in the living area you have a nice view to the Rio de la Plata.
The location itself is really central. When looking at the location on the map I was a frightened by the big streets around it but the appartment is out to the back and on the 9th floor, so this was o.k. I did notice the traffic of course but it was no problem for me.
I loved to be very close to the Puero Madero area because I just had to get out and cross two streets to be in the quite and nice harbour area to go for a morning or evening walk.

I stayed at the apartment for a month in May 2011. Leandro the owner and his father Carlos were extremely helpful and maintained good contact both before and during my stay. I am very indebted to them particularly when it appeared my flight may have been cancelled and Leandro offered me assistance.
The apartment itself is located in a classic building and has spacious rooms and high celings. The kitchen is small but I found it adequate for my needs. This is not a contemporary corporate apartment, it is older in style and homely in atmosphere adding to the character and ambience. I was recovering from surgery and appreciated that it was comfortable and quiet whilst just a short walk to the bustling centre and its facilities. There are homely touches such as books and guides in English and Spanish. A supermarket is located within two blocks and many of Buenos aires famous sights are an easy walk away.
To the rear of the building is the Puerto Madero and reserva ecologica giving a complete contrast to the busy centre. The undergroud transport, the Subte is located nearby and gives easy, cheap access to all parts of the city. Taxis are plentiful for accesing locations not on the Subte or bus route and are comparitively cheap compared to many cities.
For exploring further afield the train station is nearby as is the Buquebus ferry and catamaran for journeys to Uruguay.
As a mature widow travelling alone I felt very safe both in the apartment and the locality. The doormen in the building were always pleasant and helpful and Leandro was just a phonecall away. Leandro also e mailed me several times during my stay to check all was well. Wi fi internet access is included in the stay as well as once weekly linen change, cleaning service and utilities.
Overall I had a lovely stay in a great apartment in a good location for all of Buenos aires sights and I would like to say thanks to Leandro and Carlos for making my stay even better by their exceptional service.Response from Leandro C. - 06/15/2011

This unit has everything for a self catering stay in Ba. Right next to a bank which was useful for obtaining cash and not far from a small supermarket.
We found Leandro's father very helpful. He even gave us money for a taxi. Leandro, in London was also extremely helpful and phoned several times to make sure all was well. He even booked our taxi to the airport from London!
Saying that it isn't the nicest part of Ba to stay, very busy with lots of traffic but I think the convenience out wieghs that.
Love Buenos aires, the beautiful buildings and parks, the vibrancy of Le Boca and the tranquility of Tigre.

This apartment is centrally located and close to transport, resturants and main attractions. It has everything that you need for a short or longer stay. We only stayed for one week, however would have been happy to stay in the apartment for longer!

I spent 16 nights in Buenos aires in august/September 2010. I was there first for a conference during the first week and then on vacation for about a week and half.
I enjoyed my stay at Leandro's apartment and had no problems during my time there. The apartment is part of a classic building, well lit, considerably spacious, clean and well-kept. It is centrally located making it easy to reach most areas within the city by walking. (In my case it was also just a couple of minutes walk away from the Sheraton hotel were the conference was held making it even more convenient). There are also several bus stops on the same street to most destinations.
Furthermore, the owner Leandro and his father were both extremely helpful and exceptional people to deal with, both before and during my stay there. I look forward to visit Buenos aires again and would surely be glad to stay at the same apartment next time! :)

I stayed in this apartment for nearly a month (26 nights) from mid-June to mid-July 2010. I'm from the U.S. but was in Buenos aires for surgery, so I needed a place that would be comfortable, be located in central Ba, and have all the amenities I need since this was to be my home away from home for so long.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here - the apartment is a great size for 2 people (my father traveled with me for 10 days) but could even accommodate probably 4 people for a shorter term vacation stay. It's an older building but I loved it's charm (especially the cool elevator) and the apartment is kept up very well. The furniture is a little dated, but it was comfortable and clean. From the bedroom window you can see the Rio de la Plata between two buildings (I witnessed some great sunrises from that window!).
The kitchen area is a little on the small side, but it has a microwave, mini-fridge and stove/oven that all work great and I put them to good use. The bathroom is nicely sized with a full tub/shower.
Location-wise, this apartment was superb. You can walk 2 blocks east to Puerto Madero or walk a few blocks west to the Florida shopping street and the Galeria Pacifico shopping mall. There are several small cafes within a block or two, a grocery store and convenience store, so pretty much everything you need is very close by. This includes bus transportation on the busy avenida Leandro N alem, catching a taxi, or even walking to the Buquebus ferry terminal to take a ferry to Uruguay. Also, the Leandro alem subway station is just a couple of blocks south. For someone recovering from 2 surgeries, I really appreciated the location and that I didn't have to go far at all for anything I needed.
By the time I left, I was sad to go - it had become "home" for me. So I highly recommend this venue - for the location, features and price, it's hard to find better (and I tried).Response from Leandro C. - 07/28/2010

The flat is conveniently situated near Puerto Madero and within a short distance to the main spots in the city (Recoleta, Barrio Norte, Botanico, Las Canitas, Palermo). It's very comfortable in terms of space and full of natural light, the furniture and decoration very neutral and it has absolutely everything you might need for your everyday living. The building has a helpful doorman that will try to assit you in everything he can. We (my husband and I) stayed 2 months in the flat and enjoyed our stay enormosly.

o apartamento é muito bom, super confortável!! fica
bem no centro, perto da galeria pacífico e da
florida. Tem transporte fácil pra qualquer lugar da
cidade!! onibus, metro ou taxi... gostei muito!! com

The apartment is in a very nice central position.In the evening one can walk in 5 minutes to the nice area of the Docks full of Restaurants and quite safe.The building is also nice and wi-fi useful. The main roads around are noisy cause the traffic but I will come there if it will happen me to come again in Buenos Aires.
