Step out of the front of the building and you will find a thriving collection of some of the best restaurants in the city including trendy (yet traditional) parillas, Italian, Japanese and Thai. Las Canitas is one the most fashionable neighbourhoods in BsAs, busy by night and peaceful by day and is considered very safe. Enjoy fresh baked goods from the local bakery for breakfast or stock up on fresh fruit at the corner fruit stand. I rented this apartment for my one week stay with my family in Buenos aires. All our activities were around the Palermo area, so it was very convenient since Las Cañitas is very close to Palermo.
First of all, when we were looking for apartments, we contacted several agents. However, Jeffrey, the owner of the apartment was the first one to write me and was very helpful with all the answers. Then, Alfonso, the manager was also very helpful with arranging the ride from the airport and several questions I had.
We arrived very late, but there was a person there waiting for us, gave us all the instructions and then we settled in. As I was unpacking, I noticed there was no safe. I messaged alfonso and he said he would install one the next day. It wasn't done but then I told him to not worry about it. The second day, the TV didn't work. I called alfonso again and he said they paid Direct TV that same day. Two days later, we got the service reconnected. The third surprise, the washing machine didn't work, neither the dryer. They couldn't have this fix while we were there because it was hard for the technicians to come right away. We were supposed to have maid service twice. I think the lady came once, but only to bring new towels. The apartment remained dirty. And the cleaning lady never came back. The noise of the elevator in one of the bedrooms is very annoying.
Overall, the property is very nice, just like the pictures, but a little old. The are molds in many parts of the property. The location is excellent. You go down and you will find many many great restaurants. Jeffrey, Alfonso, and Cynthia were very helpful at all times. They just couldn't get things solved because they depended on other people. This is the second time I rent an apartment. The first time, the property wasn't as nice, but I didn't have any problems. This time, the property was nice, but I did encounter all the problems I mentioned above.

Re. the safe, this is the first request we have had for a safe but are in the process of getting one. Direct TV was out for half a day, but was taken care of when the serviceman arrived. The maid came in the middle of the week and our property manager (Alfonso) said the place looked clean, but we will ensure she does a thorough cleaning job each time. She has cleaned for us for a couple of years and has been good but we will monitor her progress going forward - duly noted. Re. the "mold" issue - it's not mold, they were just stains and have been thoroughly cleaned. The washing machine door was stuck and the dryer door didn't open, we have fixed both.
I hope this answers your questions and concerns. We always do whatever we can to ensure our tenants have as enjoyable stay as possible. Sometimes small issues happen / repairs needed, but we do whatever we can to fix immediately as soon as we find out. Sometimes in Argentina things take a little longer than in the US or Canada, but we through our property manager stay on top of these things and get them taken care of as soon as humanly possible.

We rented this condo for two weeks. The cost was $2,500.00. When we arrived no one was there , after one hour sitting outside someone arrived without the keys we waited another hour.
The condo was clean and spacious. The wrap around balconies made our stay :)
They were lovely. 26 degrees and sunny helped . The beds were comfortable. We saw the maid twice in two weeks. There were four of us and we would have appreciated the towels getting laundered more frequently . she spoke some English which was great and she was also very nice . The dryer didn't work all that well .
There was a flat screen tv in the living room and the condo was nicely decorated .
The location was perfect. We felt safe and walked everywhere every day. Taxi's were at every corner . Many very good restaurants within minutes walking
a grocery store across the street
We enjoyed our stay. The renter was honorable, we got our deposit back the week after we got back.

Our property manager of 5 years, Alfonso, was away for this period on annual holiday leave. Unfortunately the substitute property manager for that period was not as attentive. We no longer use him. Alfonso is back on the job and we are very happy. My apologies for any inconvenience.

Fantastic apartment in a great location with everything at your front door. Very large apartment with balconies on both levels with fantastic views. Jeff the owner was great to deal with and answered every email very promptly and even called us. We had a small issue with the hot water and he put us up in another apartment at no cost to us whilst it was fixed, he organized a driver to pick us up from the airport who spoke English. And alfonso who speaks perfect English was there to great us, show us how everything worked and gave us a run down of the area, where the best places to eat, drink and shop. We would highly recommend this apartment and the people who we dealt with. Only to happy to give more information and yes we will return.

We spent 4 weeks in this lovely apartment in February/2012 and highly recommend it. Following are some observations: The apartment: It's lovely - just like the pictures (maybe better!) We chose it primarily because of the open kitchen and generous outdoor space and were very happy with both, and more. The appointments are excellent and everything is well cared for and spotless. We did a lot of entertaining and the layout is superb. The Location: I obsessed over the various Bsas neighbourhoods - everyone who has been to Buenos aires has a strong opinion about neighbourhoods and isn't afraid to tell you where to stay! Originally I looked at Recoleta and Palermo Botanico, but kept returning to this apartment due to the layout. I wasn't as familiar with Las Canitas and was a bit worried it was a little farther than I thought I wanted to be. I needn't have worried..we loved Las Canitas! In under 20 minutes we could walk to most of Palermo and Belgrano (despite February heat) and it is well served by buses (and for North americans, cabs are still cheap). And Jumbo - a great grocery store - is 5 minutes away. Las Canitas has a great feel to it - tons of restaurants of all cuisines and prices - yet we could still sleep with the windows open as it was quite quiet up on the 7th floor. The Transaction We've rented many apartments and it was a pleasure dealing with the owners and local property agent. Jeff was incredibly responsive and answered my million emails promptly and alfonso (on site in Bsas) is a terrific, easily accessible and responsive property manager. The housekeeper Tatiana is charming and does a terrific job. Rent this apartment! You won't regret it! If you have questions ask Jeff for my email address - happy to correspond directly.
