Oh my God!!! This apartment is amazing! The enormous roof terrace - lovely day and night - replete with parilla for cooking steaks the argentine way; the unobstructed view, just above the treetops, looking out over the neighborhood in every direction; the easy lay-out has everything you could need - including two full floors for absolute privacy and peace; the cool breezes flowing through the apartment day and night. This place is truly the most beautiful, comfortable and easy apartment I have ever rented!

New York, NYGreat House in a Great Location
Left on 12/01/2011 for a stay in September 2011
I've lived in ten houses in Ba over the last two years, in seven or eight different neighborhoods, and this one was my favorite. It's on a quiet, beautiful street on the edge of Chacarita, one of the most charming and off-the-tourist's-map neighborhoods in the city, just a few-minute walk from Palermo Hollywood and Colegiales. Those three neighborhoods, and some of the other ones close by (Villa Crespo, for example), all within walking distance of each other, are ideal for anyone who wants to be near things (great restaurants, cafes, bars, antique stores, galleries, clubs, etc.) but not steeped in the madness of El Centro or ostracized in foreigner-infested San Telmo; but Chacarita is closest to my heart, I guess because it feels more authentic and dreamy. The house itself is big and very comfortable, with a cozy, lived-in (in the best sense) feel. The kitchen is as good as I've seen in this town. I was staying in the smallest bedroom, on the top floor, with a window looking out onto the terrace, and was totally happy -- though the main-floor bedrooms are much larger. The terrace (pictured) is probably the nicest feature of the house: it has an amazing view overlooking the low rooftops of Chacarita, as well as a gem of an oldschool brick parilla for a grilling and a frankly inspired cactus garden. As I was leaving they installed a bamboo canopy over half of the terrace, the awesomeness of which I was able to catch (if not lounge beneath) just before moving out. I was there in the (Southern) winter and imagine it'd be an even better house in the summer, with all the outside space. In short, I love Chacarita and I loved this house. Highly Recommended.
