Beautiful classic Buenos Aires Home in the bohemian barrio of San Telmo. The perfect way to stay in the great city of Buenos Aires. Exquisitely furnished and situated on Carlos Calvo in the heart of the Tango district, 2 blocks from the famous Plaza Dorrego. Huge French Doors open from each room onto a central patio. Built in 1900, it feature 15 foot ceilings in the living and dining rooms, gorgeous hardwood floors, and ultimate attention to detail.

My adult daughter and I stayed at this precious house for two weeks. We were greeted by this enchanting woman who turned out to be our "key" to the city. She is the owner's house manager and is a long-time resident of Buenos aires. The house is so unique...Bill has obviously put his signature mark on the decor with so many antiques and creative touches throughout. It is located in San Telmo, which proved to be within walking distance of most destinations within the city. Otherwise, it was a quick bus ride or taxi - both extremely affordable. Bill offered his knowledge of the city, its entertainment, eateries, and transportation, all of which were invaluable to newbies in Buenos aires. I would, however, strongly advise any visitors to learn some amount of Spanish because you will find that many argentines do not speak much English. Also, arrange for a city tour of some sort because without a concierge helping to guide you through the many choices of what and where to go, you may find yourself slightly disadvantaged. Thank you so much, Bill, and big props to Eva - this was an amazing experience!

The home is San Telmo is very close to the old and great places in Ba. It is nice and rustic, the only real issues were the fact that it was a bit noisy at night due to many of the homeless people on streets party mode or breaking bottles, but nothing we could not manage. If a/C were there it would have been perfect, we had a bit of a challenge sleeping without a/C as spoiled americans it was hard but if you are ok with no a/C the place is very nice like the days of Peron.

There is AIR CONDITIONING! It was installed after this visit. It does make a big difference on those hot summer nights. Most of the year, guests enjoy sleeping with all of the French Doors open to the central patio. We hope that you will come back in the future.... since you have said that it would be perfect with A/C, it's now perfect!! Thanks so much for the input.
