  Spectacular apartment, terrible management

  We rented this apartment from December 26 through January 3. I specifically inquired whether this was a 4 bedroom or a 3 bedroom as one site mentioned that the 4th bedroom was used for storage. I explained in an email that we needed 4 bedrooms and was assured that the 4th bedroom had been cleaned out and was available. I could have easily rented other 4 bedrooms, but this apartment looked nice on the website. Not only was the 4th bedroom full of things when we arrived, including an old fashioned 7 foot tall luggage-cart-like contraption and what looked like a large roll of chicken wire [yes, like we used on the farm to fence in chickens!], the management representative, Daniela, tried to bully us into accepting only 3 usable bedrooms. She never apologized, even when shown her own email assuring us that all 4 bedrooms were available. When we insisted she get the room cleaned out, she first attempted to store the luggage cart in the small dining room, and when we objected that that looked ugly, tried to put it in the kitchen partially blocking a hallway. If we had not been tired from a day of travel, it would have been as comical at the time as we viewed it later. It took lots of firmness to get what we had been promised, and there was never any apology for not being truthful, but we didn't let this sour attitude affect our mood. Too bad she was not a good representative, since the apartment itself was very nicely furnished with good beds and interesting artwork. The balcony, on the 20th floor, provided great views, but was very windy. As my friend quipped, it would be dangerous to leave a small fluffy dog out there. The owner apparently tried to provide an exceptional experience, and we appreciated the apartment once we got through the problems with Daniela.
