Description from the owner
Old printing building recovered and furnished in a loft style. Inside, under the high ceilings that make the place bright and spacious, the colonial decoration mixes antique furniture with modern comfort. On the ground floor, one finds the kitchen, dining room, living room with a fireplace, comfortable chairs and a desk, a bedroom with 2 beds, a bathroom, and a large window that opens to the garden and swimming-pool. The main bedroom is located on the mezzanine and has a private bathroom with hydro-massage. The swimming pool and solarium (which are shared with 3 other units on the property), turn the place into an oasis in the busy centre...Read more

Sydney AustraliaUnique apartment, great location.
Left on 07/26/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My daughter and I loved staying in San Telmo. The apartment was light and airy and full of interesting artworks and furniture. We had everything we needed to make ourselves at home including an equipped kitchen and a phone. Mercedes is a great host. We felt very safe there, and there were plenty of shops restaurants, bars, galleries and bus stops nearby. And of course the weekly San Telmo art and craft markets.

BristolEnchanting, quirky San Telmo apartment

We had an fantastic time staying at the apartment - perfect location, near Plaza Dorrego - Sunday antiques and bric-a-brac market with tango in the evening. Near to lots of supermarkets if you want to eat in and restaurants if you don't, including veggie which was important for us. The apartment is full of light and has oodles of charm. Not the most luxurious in terms of modern amenities but comfortable bed and lots of space. Even had a guitar to play on the lovevly patio and also a resident cat who came to say hello every morning. Access to satellite tv, and also cd and dvd player once you got the hang of the wiring set up. No laundry facilities but this can easily be arranged through the staff. Would love to go back here some day and stay longer!

Stratford, OntarioCharacter accommodations in great area

I have very mixed reviews about this loft in San Telmo. I loved the people that we met because this interesting complex attracts a very cultural crowd of people. We very much enjoyed the weekly Bbq's in the courtyard and the pool area (when the pool was cleaned)
However, for the price you pay, I felt that the service, cleanliness and upkeep of the building was lacking. The jet bath, although a wonderful perk, didn't drain properly, the roof leaked and it was like pulling teeth to get fresh towels or kitchen rags. The office only accepts cash and they would hound me for the rent that I owed for the month knowing that it is very difficult for foreigners to withdraw that much cash all at once.
Now the negative being said, we had a wonderful stay. The location could not be better. We had plenty of room and the best kitchen of our whole trip, which is important as we love to cook.
For me personally, I think the place is overpriced, but that's probably because you're not going to have such a unique experience anywhere else, so people pay it. I wish that the level of customer service would improve and then I could recommend it with glowing reviews. -

SydneyAbsolutely beautiful apartment!

What a great holiday! The apartment was more than was advertised and is in the best spot of San Telmo. The owner and cleaner were always there to help with me any questions I had and went out of their way for me. Definate 5 stars here!

California, USAA Fantastic Pad in San Telmo
Left on 04/25/2010 for a stay in April 2010
From the minute i walked into this cozy little apartment i knew I would be happy here. San Telmo was the perfect neighborhood to experience the city of Buenos Aires and this pink pad off of the beaten path was awesome. It was unique in style and very safe. The landlord lived upstairs and she was responsive and even offered advice and suggestions on places to go and things to do. We met another couple in the complex - everyone was friendly. The apartment was cozy yet spacious with floor to ceiling windows and doors that we happily left open while we drank wine, ate cheese and listened to tango music on the CD player. I would definitely stay here again - especially in the summertime when I could actually enjoy the pool!!

Canadanice location and big apartment.
Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in February 2010
I like the location of the apartment, but a lot of items were missing from the apartment, such as microwave, bowls, coffee cups, frying pans, and wine openers. The kitchen supplies took 3 weeks to arrive, after we asked the owner. Keep in mind, we had a 5 and 1/2 week stay.
We had a big issue with the suit next to our suit. The renters decided on our stay to renovate the suit next door. All we heard was constant hammering, drilling, and banging. This started from 8 in the morning and went until 6 in the evening, for 4 to 5 days in a row. Not to mention the smell of cigarette smoke the whole time.
The pool was not swim-able at all. Very green and murky looking. But the BBQ was great. We used it often and it worked well. We loved the court yard, it was great on hot days. We loved the location because we could walk anywhere and see almost anything. You are right in the heart of the action.
The price was ok, but not great for what we paid for, we didn't get to use the pool because of it's condition. So it would have been nice to see a price drop because of that.
In closing, we had a very nice time in the area, but it did lack in the service slightly.
Thanks.
