ClevelandPerfect For Business Traveller
Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I travel to la on business regularly and this charming, very clean and well kept home, was perfect for my trip. It was large, air conditioned, with comfortable furnishings and a kitchen stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans, and utensils any family of six would need. The proprietor, Laurie, was absolutely wonderful. She met me at the house with the keys and a smile and gave me a quick and instructional tour of the residence. The neighborhood was quiet - with the exception of the jets taking off from Burbank airport. There's plenty of on-street parking and groceries are just minutes away. And the best part, it was unbelievably affordable! I couldn't get all that at a hotel for $100 a night.

Lakeport, CAGreat Value - this is just what we needed.
Left on 11/22/2010 for a stay in November 2010
"At this price I didn't expect to get such a deal! This rental is quaint, quiet, clean, and well maintained. It's near the Burbank airport (planes stop flying over by 10), close to all the studios and Universal Park, and has easy access to all the freeways in the San Fernando Valley. We ate all our meals out, but this would be great for a family or several adults on a trip. We day tripped to the Getty, Griffith Observatory and the Queen Mary with no problem (other than the fact that la traffic is horrific!). Our son also lives near by so this is perfect for us. We'll definitely be staying here on all future trips to the la area."

Northern CaliforniaFamily of 6 very comfortable!!
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in October 2009
This is a lovely little private home just north of Universal Studios. So much
better than sticking my family in a hotel! Relaxing simple home--Typical
California bungalow, 40's home that has been updated. Checked-in right
away. Owner is very sweet. Parking effortless. Very Clean--Actually cleanest
vacation rental I've stayed including the bath and kitchen. Everything in
good repair. Brand new washer/Dryer, appliances. Really GREAT location
for getting to everything very quickly.
Highly recommend for families, couples, business travelers--Felt clean,
safe and quiet. 4 small kids liked the trundle beds and they could chatter
without waking us up.--Very comfortable. Neighborhood very pleasant and
non-threatening.
If you're staying for a long time, get a pass to the North Hollywood YMCA
for the gym. It's cute and very pleasant. Be sure to use the Guide book that
the owner leaves for guests.
Also, GREAT place to stay if need a home base and still want to take day
trips to OC, Disneyland, San Diego, Santa Barbara, etc. by train or car
because the freeways are so close. 15-minute walk to the Center of the
Noho Arts district, Metro, supermarket, Coffee Bean, restaurants, theaters,
etc. But kids are small so we used the car. Also--Use a car if you're here in
the summer!!
Was our 4th trip to LA. So far this was the best value for our money in Los
Angeles area for the size, location, cleanliness and convenience. --It's
priced for budget travelers, but this little house was a welcome relief in our
travels and made our trip much more relaxing and enjoyable. Felt like a
home. And our family could REALLY relax!!!! -

Great central location- near everything and still avoid traffic. The owner
couldn't have been nicer or more informative. Very well-furnished home,
which feels bigger and more private than a duplex. The neighborhood is
transitional but very peaceful, quiet and friendly neighbors. Everything is nicer
than the budget price- good value for your money. -
Charming Los Angeles/Universal Studios Duplex Slee
ArizonaGreat Deal!--Very comfortable for families
Left on 05/11/2009 for a stay in December 2008
We're a well-traveled family who has stayed in vacation rentals throughout Europe and US. So far, this is the BEST vacation rental in the US we've stayed at for the price--A real find. Couldn't emphasize that enough. Great location, well appointed, CLEAN!! And updated.
I appreciated greatly that it was a no-smoking, no-pets property. We do have dogs at home but I don't really want to pay money to relax on the same sofa that has housed lots of dogs.
LAYOUT: Recommend this to any professional or family traveler. The place is large --1000 square feet (Second bedroom actually has 4 twin beds in it.) Very comfortable and spacious for our family. Made the trip feel more like a vacation than a hotel stressor with cramped quarters. We're a family of six but didn't feel like we were trampling on each other. Having the second half-bathroom made mornings easy. Large back yard/private patio. Nice to have coffee in morning and BBQ in the evening.
LOCATION: Very mellow, quiet, residential street, but close to all the hot spots so we didn't have to hassel with the LA traffic congestion to see everything we wanted to see. The map on the site is wrong. The townhouse is actually a mile north of Universal Studios. The metro and the NoHo city center is walking distance---BUT---LA is a CAR town so you should rent a car especially if you're visiting in the summer. Parking always effortless.
OWNER: Really appreciated that I could check-in as soon as I arrived. Didn't have to wait around until it was convenient for the owner to meet me. Which is impossible with kids after a long flight. Owner and her husband were very sweet, pleasant people.
