Part of Complex of 6 Self-Catering Apartments
This spacious, light and airy apartment is situated on the ground floor of the original farmhouse. It features 2 wood/coal burning stoves, and a wealth of white-painted timber beams. The apartment is cool in the summer and cosy at other times. The large patio runs along the front of the apartment and faces onto the courtyard with views over the fragrant herb garden and open country.

EN LA MARRE is an early 19thC farmhouse on the estate of Chateau de Dracy in a truly tranquil, rural location situated 45 minutes from BEAUNE, 1 hr 15 minutes from DIJON, 30 minutes from CHALON SUR SAONE and 20 minutes from AUTUN. The small country town of COUCHES is 4kms where there are basic facilities - a bank with cash points, post office, 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, 2 doctors' surgeries, 4 restaurants, a newsagent and a bakery. There is ample car parking on the property but own transport is necessary.

We visited in September of 2009 and still have the pictures scrolling on our electronic picture frame in our kitchen. A constant reminder of a wonderful trip - including the dinner we collectively put together with Chris, Judith, Joe and Marjorie as a farewell get together. All local produce of-ourse.
We loved the countryside, local markets, incredible local restaurants and wines. Could not have wished for more at a price that can't be beat. Chris and Jusith are so naturally inclusive and willing to share their love of France. You couldn't find a better place to stay and have a real-life exoereince of France and it's bountiful offerings.

This ground floor gite/apartment was wonderful very quaint .this is a peaceful area , but theres lots of places to visit without travelling too far. The pool was fabulous . We managed to cycle to the local bakery for baguettes which would be no good for the faint hearted!! All in all a superb holiday which we hope to repeat.

We were met by a warm welcome when we arrived at En La Marre. My mother stayed in Chardonnay, my husband and I stayed in Pinot Noir above. En La Marre is set in glorious countyside and great place to get away from it all but still within easy reach of the wine towns of the Cote D'Or and lots of great restaurants.
The extremely spacious ground floor accommodation was ideal for my mother who needs a stick to get about and the veranda overlooking the herb garden was a lovely place for an evening drink. We visited during a very hot spell and Chardonnay remained pleasantly cool and airy during the night.
Judith and Chris Mosedale are excellent hosts warm and welcoming with an extensive knowledge of the area.
We all had an excellent holiday and intend to return.

We stayed in the Chardonnay apartment during 2006. The weather was hot, so much time was spent lounging around the swimming pool. However our apartment was lovely and cool, so a perfect haven to come back to. We fondly remember entertaining 6 other guests for an evening meal in the large kitchen area but our main memory is always of the wonderful countryside, old towns and villages, but most of all being able to experience so many different wines accompanied by great food. The owners Chris & Judith are a great source of information and knowledge --- so use them, we have and also on every other occasion when we have returned. We always learn something new!
