Description from the owner
The Stonehouse Cabin is nestled on 10 acres in a beautiful forest of Pine, Oak, and Cedar trees on the edge of the small town of Burney, California. The cabin architectural style and the welcoming front porch disguise the luxurious interior of this home built in 2008. While it feels like you are in the forest, the location is very central and within walking distance of pools, parks, and shopping. It is ideal for families, fishing enthusiasts, couples, etc.
Located in the heart of the Shasta-Cascade region, The Stonehouse Cabin is a great "base camp" location for the many outdoor activities offered in the area. The town of Burney is l...Read more

Santa Rosa, CALuxury in the Pines
Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family stayed in this beautiful cabin over the fourth of July weekend. We were able to enjoy the firework show from our front yard and then retreat to the comforts of the cabin after. The location was perfect. It is close to town for shopping, eating out, and a short 10 minute drive to our favorite fishing spot! The only comfort from home that we were missing was a washer and dryer to do our laundry. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin last week. When you are sitting inside the house or out on the front porch, you feel as if you are in a secluded location. Yet, it is very close to the main street for groceries, restaurants, and other ammenities. It was an easy drive to Mt Lassen, Mt Shasta, and Mcarthur-Burney State Park. The house is furnished very comfortably and the kitchen well appointed. We were even able to bake a birthday cake to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. Overall, it was a great vacation getaway.

Enjoyed our short stay in this Northern California small town get-a-way. Beautiful house/cabin feel facility on large acreage with abudant trees, but a short walk to town. Very new and up to date accomodations, nicely decorated, great porch. Close to Lassen Nationla Park, fishing and even golf. Slow down and relax would be the mode, but you are not out of touch. Tour Northern California along the route before or after.

This vacation rental is wonderful and located in a beautiful mountain community. You feel like you are safely hidden away in a private forest and still within walking distance of everything you might need. The surrounding area is filled with outdoor recreational opportunities. This is a great place to stay, play, and relax.

Imagine a cabin that you could return to year after year and add to wonderful memories. Jeff and Dottie, the owners, have selected confortable decor and furnishings and accompanied them with modern appliances and convienences. It is obvious from the moment you arrive that they understand what you will need to enjoy your stay. Relax on the front porch with a cold beer after a good day of fishing, swimming, or hiking! The cabin is very well located for outdoor fun and supplies and located on a private wooded piece of land. My family enjoyed and even extended our initial stay here. We will be back!
