Thirley Cotes Cottage is a semi-detached cottage situated in a peaceful, rural setting close to the small village of Harwood Dale in North Yorkshire. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

This cottage was booked for a quiet week away it had everything we needed, we had an enjoyble break I would recommend to anyone, the owner is a nice chap and helpful. We will book again.

Rita and I, having recently moved house, needed a quiet relaxing holiday and we certainly found one in Thirley Cotes. It's off the beaten track yet charming and close to amenities and Scarborough - Whitby's not far either. Inside it's very good with an excellent kitchen and bedroom, the lounge is comfortable but a bit basic. The bathroom is also very good but needs a shower spray for ladies who wash their hair (which is all of them all the time!).
I recommend it. -

Was very impressed with the cottage, the photos didn't do it justice. The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful but didn't intrude. The cottage was cosy and had all that is necessary for a comfortable stay. Plan to stay there again next year if possible.

This is a wonderful cosy cottage in beautiful countryside. Although in a quiet hamlet you are not far from Whitby and Scarborough so it's a perfect base. It is dog friendly and even has a private woodland for you to exercise them in. The spotlessly clean cottage met every imaginable need, even providing board games, books etc and some very helpful leaflets about the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This is an ace base to do as little or as much exploring of the area as you like. Very dog friendly, all in all great value too.

Phoned the owner Re collecting the key as due to work commitments we couldnt get there till late on the Friday .
The key was duly left 'under the plantpot '!! calassic !
On entering i was more than happy with the cottage . A very well equipped kitchen , nice cosy living room with a comfy sofa .
A very nice bedroom and a fab bath room , well worth the moneys paid .
The location is a bit off the beaten track , perfect if you are after some quiet time , but having said that its only a 15-20 min drive to scarborough .

We loved this cottage, everything was comfortable and good quality with lots of attention to detail, and the open fire topped it all off beautifully. The surroundings are just really breathtaking and a great escape from the big smoke. Hope to come again! Bobbin the pup loved it too.
