Glengeordie Cottage is a light and airy modern home, a conversion of a steam engine house, adjoining the owners house. The first 3-wheeled Robey Steam Roller was housed here and is now being moved to the Robey Trust.The cottage is well equipped and furnished with the eaves sitting room and double room creating two characterful rooms with alcoves and a feature fireplace. Guests are welcome to use the secluded and enclosed lawn with facilities including swings and whirly see-saw. An ideal spot to relax and dine alfresco, cooking dinner on the barbecue and enjoying a glass of wine, or if you want to leave the cooking to others the cottage is clo...se to three good local pubs. All three welcome children with The Jolly Sailor situated on the riverside. It is approximately a half a mile downhill walk to the Cleddau where at one of its widest stretches launching facilities and boat trips are available. Here you can enjoy crabbing off the floating pontoon. A short drive will take you to secret hideaways on the banks of the Cleddau, home to a variety of wildlife including heron and kingfishers. Glengeordie Cottage is only 20 - 25 minutes drive from a number of beautiful beaches, bays and historic castles as the Cleddau Bridge links the north and south of the County.This is a no smoking property.Read more
