A Gem of a cottage for a relaxing family break

Left on 02/10/2013 for a stay in February 2013

A beautifully cosy and warm cottage with a really homely feel. The Owners were lovely and ensured we had all we needed for a really relaxing break. Perfect base for a catch-up with family, including a baby, for a three day stay. Only a short drive to the coast with Portrush, Dunluce & the Giants Causeway all within easy reach. The furnishings and decor are of a lovely standard, very clean and tidy throughout with a great little woodburner to add to the cosiness, would recommend and will be returning hopefully later in the year, and you can see the sea.

      Love love love love

Left on 01/04/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Myself and 10 friends rented the 2 neighboring cottages at aunt Rachel's for 3 days over the New Year period.
We cannot reccommend it highly enough.
Both cottages are (more than!) fully equipped with everything you could ever need on your holiday inclusing DVD player/ wifi/ washing machine. It was so cosy and the wood burning fire was a plus! The location is remote(ish) but very beautiful and a number of bedrooms even look out to the sea. There is plenty of parking space and it is only a short drive into Bushmills town. We were so warmly welcomed on arrival and although the owners house is nearby we never felt imposed upon.
The cottages look exactly like they appear in the photographs too - such a rare find!
We are already planning our next visit!

      Wonderful stay and perfect location

Left on 11/29/2011 for a stay in July 2010

Me, partner, 6year old and 3month old baby stayed here for 5days July 2011.

We couldnt believe this cottage, it had everything we needed and i mean everything, washing machine, cooker, toaster, fridge freezer, tv, broadband. They even had a Travel Cot which we forgot to bring. They even provided lovely biscuits, tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar. Anything we needed that we had forgotten was there. It was brilliant just like a home from home.

Perfect location close to Portrush and Giants Causeway. Lovely views and a really lovely place. The cottage was spotless inside and the owners where really lovely people.

I will definitly try to go back again next summer and would recommend it to anyone. Its one of the most perfect and relaxing places i have stayed in.

Beautiful, Tranquil Getaway On Ireland's Most Picturesque Coast

Left on 05/27/2011 for a stay in July 2010

My wife, two daughters and I stayed at aunt Rachel's Cottage for a week last summer. The cottages are beautifully refurbished buildings with loads of Old-World character on the outside; charming and immaculately clean inside. The view from the second floor is breathtaking: rolling green hills - and on a clear day you can see the coast. The location is one of the reasons I recommend aunt Rachel's Cottage. Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle, the picturesque town of Bushmills, the word's oldest distillery (which offers tours and tasting!) and White Park beach are all literally minutes away. Often, my wife and I sat outside the cottage and remarked on how silent the surroundings are. The family that run the place are extremely kind and helpful and we had a fantastic experience. Highly recommended by a Canadian family!

      Beautiful Location

Left on 05/18/2011 for a stay in June 2010

From the moment we arrived the hosts couldnt have done enough for us.The cottage was beautiful, spacious absolutely spotless a real home from home.Everything you could need is provided they had even left a biscuit & teabags.A really nice thought & very much appreciated.Upstairs there are two bedrooms one ensuite.A living room, kitchen and main bathroom downstairs. All very good sized rooms and out front is a patio area with a table & chairs really enjoyed my morning cuppa just taking in the peace & quiet and of course admiring the beautiful scenery. The location is breath taking beautiful views & so peaceful. So close to the Giants Causeway & some gorgeous restaurants all within a few km.Beach is very close & to drive a few km you are in some larger towns. The cottage is ideally situated for some great sight seeing Carrick a Rede rope bridge,Dunluce Castle the beautiful causeway.Ideal for families with children as the cottage is in the country very safe and loads of space to play. All you have to bring is yourself, relax and enjoy your break.
